Hello and welcome to our new unofficial CotG Discussion Forums!
I've tried to make forums for most of the topics we cover here, including a couple off-topic subjects that come up more often than not. It's easy to add more if necessary, and if some don't get a lot of traffic I can always remove them to clean it up a bit.
Also, I believe that unregistered "guests" are able to make new posts, which will allow more casual visitors to poke their heads in now and again; if a bunch of anonymous posts starts to become a problem, posting priveliges can be restricted to registered accounts only.
For now there isn't much in the way of a formal rules announcement; use your common sense and remember it's a family board (certain words have been censored, and more can be added if necessary). You can link to a picture for your avatar, but linking to something un-family will get you in trouble fast. I'm trying to work somethign out with Tom to get some official CotG imagery available, but I don't think he'd mind too much if you use something from your own collection. Also, if you want to add a signature, try to keep it reasonably-sized (if an image, no larger than a typical banner ad, or 500x80 pixels).
The bigest adjustment will basically making sure your topics go in the proper forum, but we can move them around pretty easily, so don't worry if you screw up -- just Private Message myself and/or the sections' mod and we'll take care of it. In fact, that goes for any time you feel the need to alert one of us to something that needs taking care of: please use the PM system.
Any other questions just ask, preferably in the "Board Issues and Suggestions" forum. ;D
