Welcome to BCW -- Bithlo Championship Wrestling. I figure a bit of background explanation would be nice before I start filing reports. I'll try to be as succinct as possible so you, the reader, will not need a nap. My background: Started following wrestling when moved to Florida as a teen in 1982. Became a bigger fan in late '80s and '90s, moreso WCW than WWF, but followed both. Don't watch as much now -- not as interested in the current product. Played GWF starting mid-'90s, but lost interest in it (too Sci-Fi for my tastes?). Years later, stumbled on Legends and have loved it. Actually bought in when I saw Hacksaw was announced as part of the second set (no, seriously). BCW: Bithlo is a small community outside Orlando that was once known for its excessive amount of junkyards and the numerous jokes told about it. I run 28 cards per "year," including 4 PPVs, Supercards, what have you. (I plan to "expand" to 32 cards in Year Four.) I am currently in Year Three, but plan to post from the beginning here. (I'd run more cards, or even a second organization, but I've got a wife and two young boys, plus numerous other hobbies and that silly job thing.) Booking Style: Haphazard. Doesn't tend to follow one organization or the other. Venues: The never wases, the once weres and the are nows ... I'll use them all. I grew up in Northeast Ohio, so some of my cards are run there. The rest are in Florida. As I learn more about the history of wrestling over time (thanks, LOW, for that!) I tend to add more venues. Bootlegs: Incorporated them for part of the first year, then decided I didn't want them as part of my main fed anymore (I guess I became an LOW-only snob!). However, starting with Year Two, I incorporated them into two PPVs per year -- Tag-o-Rama and Invasion: War Games -- as part of a visiting organization. By the way, for those of you who make the bootlegs -- great job, and thanks for your hard work! You've greatly expanded my BWF (Bootleg Wrestling Federation). That's about it, I guess. I hope you enjoy reading the updates, and I look forward to any comments. After reading the boards for a long time, I've finally become a member. And thanks always to Tom and crew for an enjoyable product. Keep 'em rollin' ...

Mr. Vegas,
Thanks for the comment. The ULW's (lack of) success record, as you shall (hopefully) eventually read, was mystifying.
Then again, my dice (Filsinger issued) apparently do not like the Road Warriors, who have dominated in so many other feds I've read.
Speaking of which, enjoy your Las Vegas fed. Very creative.

Let's see if the Warriors roll to the title!

YEAR ONE, CARD 6
Bithloplex -- BITHLO BASH PPV
(Tag and world heavyweight title matches, plus a 24-man Battle Bowl battle royal to decide BCW's No. 1 contender)
Team B (Bastien and Brazil) d. Road Warriors by DQ to retain the belts in a tag-team title match when Animal ran Brazil’s head into a steel post outside ring.
BATTLE BOWL (Ousted/by whom):
Stan Lane (Koko B. Ware) Jimmy Valiant (Buddy Rogers) Gorgeous George (King Kong Bundy) Hacksaw Jim Duggan (Virgil) Playboy Buddy Rose (Sandman) Jim Brunzell (Jimmy Snuka) Harley Race (Iron Sheik) Bobby Eaton (Nick Bockwinkel) Destroyer (Ox Baker) Sandman (Virgil and Bundy – Sandman injured!) B. Brian Blair (Jimmy Snuka) Koko B. Down to four wrestlers: Iron Sheik and Volkoff (tag-team partners), Snuka and rival Bundy
Iron Sheik (King Kong Bundy) Nikolai Volkoff (Jimmy Snuka)
Snuka then gets Bundy over the top rope to win a title shot at Tag-o-Rama. BUT Bundy and Virgil get back into ring and injure Snuka as payback for Snuka injuring Money Inc. founder Ted DiBiase in Card No. 2 – Snuka likely won’t be available to wrestle again until just before Tag-o-Rama.
World Heavyweight Championship Match: Johnny Valentine d. Killer Kowalski via a knife-edge chop to retain the belt. No member of either wrestler’s team was at ringside.

YEAR ONE, CARD 7
Eddie Graham Sports Stadium
Newcomer Don Leo Jonathan challenged Johnny Valentine to a title match, and Valentine accepted for the end of the card.
Destroyer d. Koko B. Ware in long match using his FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK.
The Killer Bees d. ULW members Nick Bockwinkel and Harley Race by DQ in long match when a frustrated Bockwinkel attacked B. Brian Blair outside the ring. Captain Lou Albano watched the match from the front row but did not get involved.
Hacksaw Jim Duggan stunned King Kong Bundy (w/ Virgil) with a knee drop and pin (Bundy has yet to win a match this year – 0-4).
A red-hot Virgil, coming off a strong performance at Bithlo Bash, STUNNED Greg Valentine to win the U.S. title. (You read that correctly.) An apparently peeved Bundy did not come out to be in Virgil’s corner during the match, and a confident Valentine did not have any other members of Team Victory at ringside.
The hard-luck Road Warriors d. tag-team champions Team B (Bastien and Brazil) by DQ in a rematch from Bithlo Bash when a feisty Red Bastien knocked out Animal outside the ring. Animal was injured, and the Road Warriors are not expected to be back in action as a team before Tag-o-Rama.
The Midnight Express (w/ Jim Cornette) d. the Technicians when Stan Lane used a SUPERKICK to pin Dick Hutton.
Johnny Valentine d. Don Leo Jonathan by DQ to retain the world heavyweight title. Valentine was in trouble for most of the match, but then got into a brawl outside the ring, during which Jonathan was DQ’d for using a chair.

YEAR ONE, CARD 8
Sanford Barn
The Destroyer surprised Don Leo Jonathan via his FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK.
Buddy Rogers d. Jimmy Valiant via a pin while using the ropes for leverage. (Capt. Lou Albano watched the match from ringside but did not interfere.) No other members of the ULW or Team Victory were present.
Nikolai Volkoff & Iron Sheik (w/ Nikita Breznikov) d. the Killer Bees when Volkoff gave three BACKBREAKER DROPS to B. Brian Blair. Albano interfered in this match to aid the Killer Bees, but it didn’t stop the inevitable, and the angry Bees rejected his offered managerial skills afterward.
Nick Bockwinkel d. King Kong Bundy (w/o Virgil!) quickly using a Boston crab. Bockwinkel jumped him right at the bell. Bundy’s losing streak continues, while ULW members seem to be on a roll.
Ox Baker stunned Greg Valentine with a piledriver outside the ring – Valentine could not make the 10-count to return. Team Victory members came out afterward to check on Valentine.
The Midnight Express (w/ Jim Cornette) d. the Technicians (again) when Bobby Eaton pinned Dick Hutton with a VEG-O-MATIC following a long match in which each side controlled the action about half the time.
Johnny Valiant beat Killer Kowalski by DQ when Kowalski slammed him to the concrete floor outside the ring. The ever-present Albano ran interference with the ref for Kowalski earlier in the match but did not leave with Kowalski, a card-carrying member of the ULW. Again, neither the ULW nor Team Victory was at ringside.
World heavyweight champion Johnny Valentine (w/ a woozy Greg Valentine) destroyed Playboy Buddy Rose to retain the title.

YEAR ONE, CARD 9
Melbourne Auditorium
The Midnight Express (w/ Jim Cornette) d. Playboy Buddy Rose & Gorgeous George when Rose was DQ’d for slamming Bobby Eaton outside of the ring.
Don Leo Jonathan d. Killer Kowalski quickly using the MORMON SWING. The rest of the ULW was not at ringside.
Iron Sheik & Nikolai Volkoff d. the Killer Bees (again) when the Iron Sheik put B. Brian Blair in the CAMEL CLUTCH. The match went much quicker than their previous bout due in part to no aid for the Bees from an absent Capt. Lou Albano.
Ox Baker used the HEART PUNCH to beat Virgil (w/o an apparently still miffed King Kong Bundy) and win the U.S. heavyweight championship.
The Technicians d. the Valiant Brothers (w/ Greg Valentine) when Frank Gotch nailed Johnny Valiant with a surprise dropkick.
Team B d. Nick Bockwinkel and Harley Race of the ULW in a great back-and-forth match to retain the tag titles. Bobo Brazil used the COCO BUTT on Bockwinkel to get the pin.
Hacksaw Jim Duggan d. Buddy Rogers by DQ when Rogers’ slamming of Duggan’s head into a ringpost was pointed out to the referee by Capt. Lou Albano, who appeared in the front row before the match began. Surprisingly, Duggan departed with Albano, while Rogers was left fuming.
Johnny Valentine d. Koko B. Ware easily using the ATOMIC SKULLCRUSHER to retain the world heavyweight championship. Afterward, Don Leo Jonathan came out and challenged Valentine to a cage match, saying Valentine had been “wrestling stiffs lately.” Valentine accepted the challenge for the next card.

YEAR ONE, CARD 10
Bithloplex
Bobby Eaton (w/ Stan Lane, Jim Cornette) d. Playboy Buddy Rose using a top-rope elbow. Earlier, he slammed Rose’s head into a ringpost outside the ring in revenge for what happened to him at Rose's hands at the Melbourne card.
Harley Race (w/ Nick Bockwinkel) d. Iron Sheik (w/ Nikolai Volkoff, Nikita Breznikov) by DQ when Volkoff gave Race a BACKBREAKER DROP outside the ring onto the floor.
Frank Gotch (w/ Dick Hutton) d. Nick Bockwinkel (w/ Killer Kowalski – Race was too stunned to second Bockwinkel) using the GOTCH TOEHOLD after a great back-and-forth match.
U.S. Heavyweight Champion Ox Baker d. Greg Valentine (w/ Valiant Brothers) using the HEART PUNCH.
Gorgeous George d. Nikolai Volkoff (w/ Nikita Breznikov) by DQ in a really long match . Volkoff attacked Gorgeous George after the match and injured him.
World tag-team champions Team B d. the Valiant Brothers by DQ when Jimmy Valiant rammed Bobo Brazil’s head into a steel post. Brazil was in trouble and the Valiants were close to a pin when they blew it. The Valiants called for a rematch and vowed to put their careers on the line. Team B accepted the challenge.
Buddy Rogers (with rest of ULW) d. Hacksaw Jim Duggan (w/ Capt. Lou Albano) using his FIGURE FOUR GRAPEVINE after four previous pin attempts failed. The ULW then went after Duggan and Albano, but the Valiant Brothers came out to even up the sides. The ULW left, and the Valiants announced that they had parted ways with the Valentines and signed with Albano.
Don Leo Jonathan d. Johnny Valentine in the cage via a deathjump to win the world heavyweight championship! A great match that saw Valentine absorb a beating but remain on his feet for a long time. Overall, a bad day for the Valentine family.

YEAR ONE, CARD 11
Eddie Graham Sports Stadium
Bobby Eaton (w/ Stan Lane, Jim Cornette) d. Dick Hutton using the ALABAMA JAM after Lane snuck in and gave Hutton a SUPERKICK.
The Killer Bees and Iron Sheik & Nikolai Volkoff (w/ Nikita Breznikov) battled to a double DQ when B. Brian Blair and the Sheik ended up fighting outside the ring.
Killer Kowalski d. Hawk by DQ after Hawk ran Kowalski’s head into a ringpost.
Nick Bockwinkel (w/ Harley Race) d. Hacksaw Jim Duggan (w/ Capt. Lou Albano, Valiant Brothers) by DQ when Albano interfered. After the match, the Valiants distracted Race while Duggan used his2x4 to injure Bockwinkel.
Buddy Rogers d. Cowboy Bob Orton using his FIGURE FOUR GRAPEVINE after fending off a surprise attack by Duggan and Albano. Fellow ULW members Kowalski and Race came down to the ring at the end of the match to fend off any further attacks. While Orton left with Duggan and Albano, Rogers got on the microphone and declared war on Albano’s group. He also called out Don Leo Jonathan for a title shot, saying that he deserved one.
U.S. Heavyweight champion Ox Baker d. Frank Gotch (w/ Dick Hutton) in a title match via a HEART PUNCH out of nowhere that put Gotch out of action. The Midnight Express and Jim Cornette came down at the beginning of the match to support Baker, but he ignored them.
King Kong Bundy (w/ Virgil) d. the Destroyer via the AVALANCHE after Virgil put the COBRA CLUTCH on the Destroyer outside the ring. Apparently, peace has returned to Money Inc. despite the continued absence of leader Ted DiBiase.
The Valiant Brothers (w/ Capt. Lou Albano) d. TEAM B to win the tag-team titles when Jimmy Valiant hit the SUPER ELBOW on Bobo Brazil. It came at the end of a long match mostly dominated by the Valiants, who saved their BCW careers by winning. After the match, Duggan and Orton came down to the ring to join the celebration.

YEAR ONE, CARD 12
UCF Arena
Don Leo Jonathan, world heavyweight champion, came out and said that since Buddy Rogers couldn’t stop running his mouth, he had an offer: A six-man tag with Jonathan, Hacksaw Jim Duggan and Bob Orton against the three remaining members of the ULW (Rogers, Harley Race and Killer Kowalski). If the ULW won, Rogers would get a shot at the title at the Ashtabula Armory card. If not, no title shot while Don Leo Jonathan is champion. Rogers came out and accepted, but added an addendum: If the ULW won, Race would get Hacksaw Jim Duggan in a Texas Death Match, and Kowalski would get Albano in the ring. Albano accepted, upon the condition that if his side won, Kowalski goes under contract to him for a year. All sides accept!
Money Inc. (King Kong Bundy & Virgil) d. the Midnight Express (w/ Jim Cornette) after a long match when Bundy piledrove Eaton out on the floor and Eaton could not return at the 10-count. Cornette was furious. Nikita Breznikov came down and tried to help Money Inc. during the match, then asked afterward if he could be their manager (“Since Ted’s out of action”), but he got piefaced by Virgil.
The Road Warriors vs. the Valentines ended in a double DQ when Greg Valentine entered the ring and started a brawl as the Warriors had Johnny Valentine in a DOOMSDAY DEVICE.
Playboy Buddy Rose pinned Sabu (in his debut) with a body slam after dominating most of the match. Then he talked trash about Sabu after the match, only to have Sabu challenge him to a cage match on the next card – and Rose accepted!
Nikita Volkoff & Iron Sheik (w/ Nikita Breznikov) d. the Killer Bees in a Texas Death Match. While the Sheik punched out Jim Brunzell outside the ring, Volkoff finished off B. Brian Blair inside the ring with a dangerous throat drop on the ropes, which injured Blair. Afterward, the pair claimed they will destroy anyone standing in the way between them and the Tag-o-Rama cup.
The Destroyer issued an open challenge to anyone in the back after his loss to Bundy on the last card. Coming out to accept was Mil Mascaras (in his debut) – another masked man!
The Destroyer d. Mil Mascaras by using the FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK for the third time in the match before Mascaras submitted. The Destroyer seemed impressed by Mascaras' resiliency.
Team B (Bobo Brazil and Red Bastien) regained the tag-team titles versus the Valiant Brothers (w/ Capt. Lou Albano) when Brazil pinned Jimmy Valiant following three COCO BUTTS (and one midmatch brawl between all four wrestlers). Afterward, the Valiants knocked Bastien out of the ring and double-teamed Brazil, injuring him.
Jimmy Snuka, in a warmup for his PPV world championship match, d. Koko B. Ware via the SUPERFLY LEAP
WHC Don Leo Jonathan, Cowboy Bob Orton and Hacksaw Jim Duggan (w/ Capt. Lou Albano) d. the ULW (Buddy Rogers, Harley Race and Killer Kowalski) when Orton pinned Rogers after an atomic kneedrop in a wild match (and after Duggan entered the ring and illegally gave Rogers a FLYING SPEAR). Jonathan and Rogers matched up for a while, and Jonathan gave him a good thrashing (although he did later take a PILEDRIVER from Race). As a result, Rogers does not get a title shot, and Kowalski’s contract belongs to Albano!

YEAR ONE, CARD 13
Ashtabula Armory
Commissioner Richcreek, the guiding force behind BCW, made his first appearance on a card to announce that tag-team champions Red Bastien and Bobo Brazil had a choice – they could forfeit the titles due to Brazil’s injury or make a title defense the first night Brazil comes back to action, against the winners of Tag-o-Rama. Bastien came out and said Team B would pick the second option.
The commissioner then announced a No. 1 contender match for the U.S. heavyweight championship, picking Harley Race (apparently over Buddy Rogers) and Johnny Valentine (apparently over Killer Kowalski, making new manager Lou Albano unhappy).
Buddy Rose d. Sabu in a cage match when Sabu was DQ’d for using the Arabian Facebuster.
Hacksaw Jim Duggan (w/ Lou Albano, Cowboy Bob Orton) d. Buddy Rogers (w/ Harley Race) by DQ when Race attacked Duggan outside the ring. Albano did not have ex-ULW member Kowalski come to ringside.
Greg Valentine beat Johnny Valiant by DQ after Valiant rammed Valentine’s head into a ringpost.
Harley Race d. Johnny Valentine by DQ in the No. 1 contender match after Valentine slammed Race outside the ring onto the floor, ending what had been a good, long match.
U.S. heavyweight champion Ox Baker d. Jimmy Valiant using his HEART PUNCH. Afterward, Baker announced that he had officially joined Nikita Breznikov’s group.
The Midnight Express (w/ Jim Cornette) d. Nikolai Volkoff and Iron Sheik (w/ Nikita Breznikov) using their VEG-O-MATIC to grab the No. 1 seed for Tag-o-Rama. Breznikov’s team will have the No. 3 slot. Ox Baker did not come to ringside with his new teammates.
Richard Hutton d. Jimmy Snuka by DQ when Snuka slammed him on the concrete floor outside the ring. (Hutton did the same to Snuka earlier in the match.) King Kong Bundy and Virgil, who was slated to wrestle next, came to ringside after the match, chasing off Snuka. Hutton remained with them -- apparently, he is the newest member of Money Inc.!
World heavyweight champion Don Leo Jonathan pinned Virgil (w/ King Kong Bundy, Richard Hutton) after Virgil ran into the turnbuckle. While the Money Inc. crew left ringside after the match, Snuka joined up with Capt. Lou Albano to shake hands with Jonathan, then Snuka sucker-punched him! Snuka and Albano put the boots to the champ ahead of their PPV match, and Snuka even executed a SUPERFLY LEAP on Jonathan. Capt. Lou’s power grows with the addition of Snuka!!!!

YEAR ONE, CARD 14
Tag-o-Rama PPV, Richfield Coliseum (Ohio)
Commissioner Richcreek opened the event by announcing that along with the Tag-o-Rama matches and the championship bouts, there would be random-draw Ring Roulette singles matches for those not involved in the other matches.
TOR Quarterfinal Match: The newly formed tag team the Masked Marvels (Mascaras and Destroyer), the eighth seed and a last-minute entry, stunned the top-seeded Midnight Express (w/ Jim Cornette) when Mil Mascaras pinned Stan Lane using the FLYING BODYPRESS. The good, long match featured interference by Cornette and a brawl outside the ring.
Richard Hutton (w/ Virgil) d. Red Bastien via the ABDOMINAL STRETCH in a Ring Roulette (RR) match (and Bastien’s first singles match).
TOR Quarterfinal Match: The Road Warriors, second seed, d. No. 7 seed Hacksaw Jim Duggan and Cowboy Bob Orton (w/ Lou Albano) quickly using the DOOMSDAY DEVICE on Duggan. Afterward, Orton, Albano and the Valiants kicked the snot out of Duggan because he never tagged in Orton. The Road Warriors made the save. Albano, in a quick interview afterward, said he just used Duggan to “set the Captain’s Table” and that he no longer needed him.
Koko B. Ware d. Playboy Buddy Rose after a pair of BRAINBUSTERS in a RR match.
TOR Quarterfinal Match: Sixth seed Money Inc. (King Kong Bundy and Virgil w/ Richard Hutton) d. No. 3 seed Nikolai Volkoff and Iron Sheik (w/ Nikita Breznikov) when Bundy pinned Volkoff using the AVALANCHE despite earlier intereference by both Breznikov and the Iron Sheik (who was thrown out of the ring by Bundy). Bundy was a determined wild man – Virgil never even got tagged into the match!
Buddy Rogers d. Sabu by DQ in a RR match after Sabu slammed him outside the ring onto a concrete floor for a THIRD time. Sabu also used his TRIPLE JUMP MOONSAULT on Rogers, who survived the pin attempt. Rogers wasn’t happy being a part of the Ring Roulette draw, and he certainly wasn’t happy after the match.
TOR Quarterfinal Match: No. 5 The Valentines beat No. 4 Valiant Brothers (w/ Capt. Lou Albano), their onetime teammates, by countout after Johnny Valentine piledrove Johnny Valiant outside the ring. Afterward, Jimmy Valiant, Bob Orton and Albano attacked the Valentines, injuring Johnny. Greg Valentine opted to carry on by himself in the tournament.
In a RR match, Killer Kowalski (w/ Capt. Lou Albano) crushed Jim Brunzell with a number of CLAW HOLDS before finally piledriving him outside the ring after Brunzell refused to stay down. Kowalski looked unhappy working for Albano, who constantly shouted at him, “I will make you a champion.”
TOR Semifinal Match: No. 6 Money Inc. (w/ Richard Hutton) stunned No. 2 Road Warriors when King Kong Bundy pinned Hawk after an elbow drop off the ropes. Bundy dominated the match (Virgil never tagged in once again) except for when he was matched power for power by Animal. The Road Warriors complained about a quick count, and Bundy did not ask for a five-second pin count like usual.
Ox Baker (w/ Nikita Breznikov) d. Harley Race (w/ Buddy Rogers) using a HEART PUNCH to retain the U.S. heavyweight championship. The back-and-forth match saw Race hold an advantage until Baker drove him into a ringpost outside the ring, then got him back inside and used the HEART PUNCH. Afterward, Breznikov called the HEART PUNCH the most dangerous move in wrestling, because “you never see it coming.”
TOR Semifinal Match: No. 8 Masked Marvels d. No. 5 Greg Valentine when Mil Mascaras used the FLYING BODY PRESS to pin Valentine, who put up a valiant effort alone due to Johnny Valentine’s injury, but still got pinned.
Jimmy Snuka (w/ Capt. Lou Albano) d. Don Leo Jonathan to become the world heavyweight champion. Snuka needed two SUPERFLY LEAPS sandwiched around a piledriver to put away Jonathan, who seemed somewhat distracted at times by Albano and slowed by the attack he sustained on the last card at the hands of Snuka and Albano.
The No. 8 Masked Marvels d. No. 6 Money Inc. (w/ Richard Hutton) via DQ in the finals of the Tag-O-Rama Cup. King Kong Bundy actually let Virgil tag in, but once he got into trouble, Bundy came back in. Finish came after a long back-and-forth match when the Destroyer had Bundy in a Figure Four leglock and Hutton interfered. Bundy looked as if he was going to submit when the interference came.

YEAR ONE, CARD 15
Lakeland Civic Center
World heavyweight champion Jimmy Snuka and Capt. Lou Albano gave an interview proclaiming Snuka the “greatest champ ever.” Then Albano added that Snuka would not be defending the WHC belt in a podunk Florida town like Lakeland. Albano also vowed that all three belts would eventually be at the Captain’s Table.
D. Hutton (w/ King Kong Bundy, Virgil) d. Greg Valentine after Bundy snuck into the ring while Virgil distracted the referee and gave Valentine an AVALANCHE. Earlier in the match, Hutton got out of three FIGURE-FOUR LEGLOCKS.

Lou Albano, Bob Orton, Jimmy Snuka) d. the Road Warriors (w/ Hacksaw Jim Duggan) by DQ when, after the Road Warriors absorbed numerous attacks outside the ring, Animal was DQ’d for slamming Johnny Valiant onto the concrete floor.
