Here are some of mine 'Stop the Cavalry' by Jona Lewie / 'Lonely This Christmas' by Mud \ 'Walking in the Air' by Aled Jones / 'I Believe In Father Christmas' by Greg Lake / 'Christmas Poo' by Mr Hanky

Traditionally? "Ukrainian Bell Carol." (You know, that repetitive thing they use in all the advertisements, at least here in the States. Particularly the Trans-Siberian Orchestra version!)
Non-traditionally? "Another Christmas Song" by Jethro Tull.

Christmas in Serievo (I know I misspelled that), also by the Trans-Siberian. I love the heavy beat and music. It's one of the few X-Mas songs I can stand ( since I hear them at work non-stop from now until Christmas).
Take care,
Jay

The Christmas Song as sung by Nat "King" Cole.
Nothing better.

Except 12 Days of Christmas by Bob and Doug McKenzie..!! ;D Close second: Same song, only by the Muppets... Two really fun radio worthy variations that won't bore you out of your partridge infested pear tree...

Since my little guy is always wanting to watch Wiggle (the kids group) Christmas, that's the only ones I hear. So I guess "Where is Wags This Christmas Day!"

Traditionally? "Ukrainian Bell Carol." (You know, that repetitive thing they use in all the advertisements, at least here in the States. Particularly the Trans-Siberian Orchestra version!) I usually know that song as "Carol of the Bells", but yeah -- it's definitely my favorite traditional holiday song. There's a local group called the Raleigh Ringers that have a great version done entirely with handbells. I was going to buy tickets to the TSO show in Raleigh next month, but it's on a Thursday night, which is a huge inconvenience for the wife and me. Ironically, I'm very much an athiest and tend to dislike most things that are overly religous, but I much prefer the traditional/religous Christmas songs to anything with a more Santa-ish orientation. They're simply more... pure, I guess. As far as non-tradtional songs go, I like way too many (see above). Anything on any one of Bob Rivers's "Twisted Christmas" albums is gold, but my absolute favorites are "Christmas at Ground Zero" and "The Night Santa Went Crazy", both by Weird Al. Favorite "12 Days of Christmas" variation is Rivers's "12 Pains of Christmas", although I just heard the McKenzies' version for the first time this weekend. With all of that being said, however, I feel I should mention that my tolerance of any holiday music starts at around December 15th and not a day sooner (the TSO concert would have been on the 14th, but at night, so that counts). Working in retail with that stuff being piped in over the PA will kill the holiday spirit in all but the most diehard fans of the season. 8 hour shifts (or longer), 5 or 6 days a week for a solid month... do the math on that one, and see if your brain could take it.

I actually hate almost all Christmas songs because they get played entirely too much. The one song I can still stomach after all these years is "White Christmas" sung by Bing Crosby. That guy's voice is like buttah.

On the subject of the Twelve Days of Christmas, apparently it would cost you almost $19,000 to actually give those presents to your true love this year. ;D

Eh, I consider grocery stores to be retailers. They just have a different focus.

That guy's voice is like buttah. Well, you better like it...because ol' Bing will beat your ***!!! For those who don't know...Bing put up a front in front of the cameras. Behind the scenes he was reported to be a big abuser of his kids!

I'm going to go with: the Chipmunk's "Christmas Time is Here" Kenny Rogers "Favorite Things" Run DMC "Christmas in Hollis"
More Traditional Bing Crosby's "White Christmas" would be my choice.

"Father Christmas" by the Kinks and "Fairytale of New York" by the Pogues. Hmm, two of the bitterest Christmas songs of all-time...but I'm not all that cynical about the holiday itself.
In the traditional category, put another one down for "Carol of the Bells."

Or retail shop doesn't play any music at all (any time of the year during it's trading hours) . They held a poll and 92% of customers wanted music . The shop said No . Why ? incase the other 8% went shopping in our rivals ha ha .
