If anyone watched the second season of Project Greenlight they're familiar with this film.
I just saw it as it came out straight to DVD not too long ago.
Anyhow, :Pskie Baby is giving it the old "two thumbs up."
If you're a horror fan I'd say check it out...but if you like campy gore and smart, smart writing, I think you'll really be pleasantly suprised with the way this one turned out.
When I watched Project Greenlight, I knew Feast was going to be a different kind of film. But to be honest, I sort of expected a (second half of) From Dusk til Dawn type horror. Other than the situation the characters are stuck in, there's no similarities at all really. It doesn't take itself seriously and although sometimes that "trick" can get slightly annoying, this flick does it right...and it provides some really, really funny moments. Some of the dialogue from the actor playing "Bozo" (who did a great job by the way) is classic.
And speaking of the cast. It's an interesting mix to say the least, expecially knowing that "Bartender" and "Harley Mom" are the directors father and girlfriend respectively. Then there was Henry Rollins, Treach from Naughty by Nature, and Jay (minus Silent Bob) among others rounding it out. As a unit of mix matched individuals, they did a solid job as an ensemble in my opinion.
Gotta say though...the character profiles with the "life expectancy" was brilliant. Just brilliant. A horror first.
Check it out. If you're interested enough to have read this far, I bet you'll like it.

ps- And what a great title, no?
