Did anybody else catch the premiere of "30 Rock" on Wednesday night? I thought the first episode was funny, 90% because of Alec Baldwin. He is great at smarmy boss figures, and his delivery is very much like the hilarious Pete Schwetty he infamously pioneered on "Saturday Night Live."
Tina Fey, though, is not as funny as the other characters around her. The other cast members have their moments.
This is one of NBC's two shows that use an SNL-type show as a backdrop. The other, "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip," is not doing that well in the ratings.
