I finally got to see the first one, and it wasn't bad, though it seemed pretty short. SS could be a great addition to this one.
Take care,
Jay

I agree it really wasn't that bad at all. And really, can you do any wrong with a movie with Jessica Alba in a skin tight suit?!?! ;D

The first film was disappointing in my opinion. I thought Daredevil was better.
The announcement of the Silver Surfer makes FF2 seem more appealing now. At least to me.
Spiderman 3 and The Dark Knight are the two comic book films I am really looking forward to at this point.

The guy who played Abe fits really well I think. Just interested in how they'll handle Galactus. I liked the first movie but I was really disappointed with Doom. Everybody on the team did great I think but Doom just lacked Doominess for me, acting wise and concept. I didn't like the Doom power, liked the suit idea better but I can understand how the power sped the story along. Doom kinda ruined it for me because i expected so much. I'm looking forward to Ghost Rider. I don't expect a whole lot from Blackheart

I like the FF movie as well and I gotta agree with GWFFantrav - any movie with a scantily clad Jessica Alba is OK in my book!
Looking forward to the sequel.

FF was all right. Jessica was quite nice, but it was rather short. I may or may not see the sequel but SS is a cool addition.

Silver Surfer is awesome...Apparently there are ideas kicking around for him to get his own Movie...Maybe this will be the decision maker...A Surfer Movie can mean only one thing.......

I'd love to see Galactus blow up Raad's planet if Surfer had his own movie...show his roots.
But does the Surfer have a lot of mainstream apeal?!?

But does the Surfer have a lot of mainstream apeal?!? Does it matter, it's freaking SILVER SURFER! No, seriously, I honestly think he's not a "mainstream" character. He's cretainly a fanboy favorite though, and in the end the studio knows that fanboys drive the income. And that's not a bad thing either. I'm excited. I did like the first movie, but I'm with Werner, Doom lacked something. Doom has and is my favorite "villian." I use the quotes becasue in his mind he's not the bad guy, much in the way Magneto isn't a bad guy just a man with a diferent veiwpoint. Doom honestly thinks his way is better. But I digress. And hey, if you think about it....Jessica Alba was NAKED in that movie.......TWICE! Big Time

Personally, I'd like to have saw something like he funded the mission, but stayed behind. After the ship was contained back in one of his labs, it would have been contaminated or something and that is what caused his transformation. But it was something about his voice, when in Doom gear, wasn't just right. He sounded more like a used car salesman. And Ghost Rider....it seems like Blackheart is going to be human?! Is that what it looks like?!?!

I haven't seen the preview for Ghost Rider yet, but for Blackheart, maybe they're going for a Spawn approach with Violator being this uber Demon, but he takes human form..?

Doctor Doom's voice did not do anything for me either.
He needed more of that "Optimus Prime" voice.
Frank Welker should have done the voice over.

Ohhh, come on Wad, who can deliever the classic line like Alba,
Doom: Come on Susan, let's not fight..
Susan: No, lets!
Oscar nomination on that line alone!

And yet delivery like that wouldn't get a callback for an amateur porn shoot. Physically, Jessica Alba is perfect. Flawless face, killer body, even though she's been getting anorexic thin lately. It's just that she's like a siren: her beauty will lure you in, but her acting is more often than not horrid.

LOL..I hope everyone that read that knows that is veryyyy sarcastic!
That, and Storm's "Toad" lines were maybe the 2 worst written pieces of dialog in the history of cinema.

Doctor Doom's voice did not do anything for me either. He needed more of that "Optimus Prime" voice. Frank Welker should have done the voice over. No doubt...Welker doesn't get nearly the respect he deserves...Most people don't even know who he is, and EVERYONE ON EARTH has heard his voice... Oh nitpick incoming: If you wanted more "Optimus Prime" then Doom needs Peter Cullen, Welker's Canadian counterpart... ;D EDIT: By the way, slightly off topic, but post-related: "Recently, Frank Welker has sent in auditions at the director's request to reprise his role as Megatron in the 2007 Transformers live-action film. If selected, this will be the first time the two original voice actors for the Transformers leaders would be working together since the aborted season four of the series (known as Rebirth)." Awesome of course, but can anyone tell me if they see something slightly disturbing concerning the choice of words in that quote..?
