Reading the background on this movie made me appreciate Jackson more. I liked how he believed that sometimes you have to go against the grain and do what you want. I can also appreciate the fatc that if they changed the name of the movie he was off the project.
It will probably be panned by critics, and most likely will not make much bank, but I think it will be a cult classic.
Okay what are your thoughts on this Samuel. L movie due out next week?

I actually got a phone call from Samuel L Jackson yesterday to tell me to see the movie.
Actually, it was something you could send to someone's phone. My wife did it to me. It was actually pretty neat. It had Jackson's voice saying, "Travis, .......see my movie Snakes on a Plane. ........and take your wife Kristen....
Pretty cool you could put your names in it. But even after that....probably won't see it..lol

I am really surprised that nobody here has commneted on this movie in about 2 weeks because I saw it today at a casino called the Orleans just off of the Strip here in Sin City and I personally think it was AWESOME!
This movie played really well as both an action and as a horror movie (this one dude who looked like he could be a professional linebacker during one scene almost jumped out of his seat in front of me, how often does this happen at the movies?)
This movie for me was non-stop fun filled with lots of suspense and humor. I also think Samuel Jackson was a great casting choice for this movie!
I also think the filmmakers did the right thing by making it R rated. Reportedly, this movie at first only got a PG-13 rating and so the filmmakers actually went back and added scenes to get a R rating (often movies go the other way by shooting for a PG-13 over an R rating so they can make extra money at the box office). I think it is easy to tell what scenes got added (two bathroom scenes and Jackson's ought to be famous quote of "That's it! I've had it with these m***********g snakes on this m************g plane!")
I was also glad to see this movie (don't leave during the closing credits because I found this out alone after evreyone else in the theater had left) because I finally learned who played this song that was playing in my head for awhile. During the closing credits, if you stay, you get to see a music video for the song "Snakes on a Plane (Bring It)" by Cobra Starship. I really like the song and had been trying to figure out the artist since I heard it both at the gym earlier this week and at the bar last night (the hot girl I was drinking beers late last night- no closing time here in Sin City-with also really liked the song).
Here is an excerpt of the song:
Times are strange We got a free upgrade for snakes on a plane. F**k em, I don't care. Bought the cheap champagne, we're going down in flames, hey.
Oh, I'm ready for it Come on, bring it. Oh, I'm ready for it Come on, bring it. Oh, I'm ready for it Come on, bring it. Oh, I'm ready for it Come on, bring it.
So kiss me goodbye. Honey, I'm gonna make it out alive. So kiss me goodbye. I can see the venom in their eyes. Goodbye.
It's time to fly, to make the stars align with the turpentine lounging in their suits and ties. Watch the whore's parade for the price you paid, hey.
Oh, I'm ready for it Come on, bring it ...................
I f you get a chance, go to see this movie because it is lots of fun!

It did not get as panned as I thought it would.
And it needed to be Rated "R". Totally a movie where Jackson has to say his catchphrase ("F@#*")

it was exactly what it promised to be...
Snakes on a Plane.
While not quite the comedy that Eight Legged Freaks was, if you want to go into the theater to purposely watch a "bad" movie, Snakes on a Plane fills that role adequately enough.
