As I have spent my monthly allowance through October on Star Wars Minis boosters, this one will need to wait until Christmas.

Champions of the Force is weak and crappy except for maybe 3 or 4 figures. Crappy Jedi and Clones!

Champions of the Force is weak and crappy except for maybe 3 or 4 figures. Crappy Jedi and Clones! Wow, No, I certainly have to disagree. I thought CotF was the strongest set to date. Good figure distribustion (some complain of "clustering", but I did not buy by the case only the package). More accessability to fgures like Windu, Jinn, Maul, and Sidious, which were all Rare. There was no crappy VR figure- in that I mean like a Dr. Evazan or Mon Mothma: limited to no utiliy of the figure- Sculpts were pretty good. The Sith and Old Republic factions I like: only 1 VR (Bastillia Shan) for OR and the Sith had some big hitters: Exar Kun, Darth Bane, Darth Malak, and Darth Nihlius. Bane is the beatstick from hell, Kun is a monster, Nihlius has the most utility. Malak is okay. Some Sith peices are costed poorly (Dark Jedi Master and Dark Side Enforcer). Sith is now one of my favorite factions to play. Potential game breaker in Mas Amedda (Repiblic). For 8 pts, he has Booming Voice, which makes all commander effects that have a six square limit be limitlesss. Oh Yeah, he also has affinity with the Empire, so you can play that ability wirth Thrawn! Separatists got a cost effective droid without a glass jaw in the crab droid. Another droid, the octuptarra droid, is a triple attacking addition to the droid army. The new Maul is just sick! ;D If you are a fan of the Republic, you will be very pleased. New Clones almost make old ones obsolete. New Jedi are cheap and for the most part have double attack. New named Clone Commanders will ensure that clone armies are popular again. New Republic, Rebellion and the absent Vong got hosed. Empire did pretty well; E-Web is pretty good if you can field one or two of them. One last bit of excitement: Ulic Qel Droma;s Command effect states that Mandalorians can be in a squad with him. A Mandalorian faction is on the way! Overall, I really thought the set was very strong. You have to be a true Star Wars fan to get into this set as, there were not too many recognizible names, but as far as game pieces most will add new dimensions to play. My favorite out of the set is Darth Maul, . He can actually make it across the battlefield to kick some tail!

I thought Universe and Rebel have been the best sets thus far, I am more for the original characters more so. But anything that gives more minis to use with the West End Games RPG I won't complain. I do have to say that the one from Champions of the Force I am most interested in is that Yoda. What a gorgeous sculpt!

I cen therefore understand your dislike of the set. I like seeing new characters and learning about them. I think the Representations in Champions of the Force was done really well. It has been said that the sets are designed for two types of people: game players (like me) and collectors. A collector would not mind pulling a Dr. Evazan, whereas I would very much (imagine how underwhelmed I was this past Thursday to pull C- 3PO. Oh well, my next pack had Boba Fett. ).They really made CotF for the game players.

Don't get me wrong I love some of the expanded universe stuff but I don't want to see a lot of it since there is still quite a bit of movie critters and characters to represent. I also look forward to the Space battle sets.

But at $20 bucks a pop, I will get only one or two boosters, and trade for the rest.

I am surprised that, seven days into August, they have not started previews for BH yet.
I do know that there will be a snowspeeder and a Rodian Hunt Master.
Should be a few good pieces in this set.

I'm hoping bounty hunters will, in addition to more original trilogy stuff, will hit upon some of the characters from Episode 1 that they haven't done yet. Like Ric Ole, Captain Panaka, and yes. . . Jar Jar! Also, who's going to check out the starship battles game in November? . . . As for Avengers 2, I won't be wasting my time with it since there's no Vision or Wonderman.

I thought the first Avengers was good- I rented it from the Blockbusters near my apartment. When I get back home to Las Vegas next week, I will probably rent Avengers 2. I went to a video store this morning near where I am currently staying at in Seattle but they did not have Avengers 2, so I rented "Inside Man" instead.

I am going to probably have to make a run to the city since this forsaken place doesn't have it and I refuse to go into Nazi-Mart (Wal-Mart) or into BallBuster Video (Block Buster) I have another name for it which is right here: C*ckSucker Video.
Be warned it is not intended for little eyes.

Looks like Republic figures will belimited to about four or five ( thankfully). I play republic, but they ahve to give other factions some love too, eh? And these Avengers movies are based on the Ultimates. No Ultimate Wonderman yet in the comics. Ultimate Vision was an avatar for Gah Lac Tus.

That's why I hate the Ultimate marvel universe. The more I like a character the worse the get treated. Vision. . . Dr. Doom (hooves!) . . . Juggernaut. . . Gambit. . . I guess I should be grateful they haven't gotten around to screwing up Wonderman yet.
