This show is so much better than the commericals they aired for it. Is anyone else watching this gem? My very non-super-heroine g/f even likes it.

The commericals made it look so horrible I skipped it... I really just want stan lee to do something semi-serious again before he dies.. the man used to be a genius...
Was is good in a its-fun-to-laugh-at-these-idiots sorta way, or was it more serious than it looks?

Hey Wildfire...we might be on the same wavelength.
Next week I will be proposing a new project to Stan when I visit him in LA. My new concept is a very serious one and I hope he goes for it. He might feel that we've got our hands full with the publishing project we're already starting, but we'll see. I'll share more info as we go forward.
I feel that Stan safely secured his legacy as a creator and genius many years ago...anything else he does now is icing on the cake.

Was is good in a its-fun-to-laugh-at-these-idiots sorta way, or was it more serious than it looks? No, it was actually very well thought outshow. For instance, the would-be superheroes had a "challenge" which was to change into their costumes and make it to a certain point in a certain amount of time. Now, little did they know but a little crying girl was nearby. Most of the contestants ran right by her, trying to make the best time and not realizing she was a part of their challenge. A few actually stopped to help the girl find her mother. The people that made the best time were the people that didn't help the little girl and those were the one that Stan picked for possible elimination, saying that real heroes would help the innocent even if it meant losing. I probably didn't explain it as well as the show pulled off, but it's very well worth watching. Stan really seemed to take it very serious for those that didn't help.

I saw it for the first time last night and really enjoyed it. I liked the "hidden" tests built into each challenge. The self-sacrifice one was pretty obvious for a show about superheroes. I can't believe that two of them didn't figure out what the right answer was supposed to be. I guess because I have read comic books for so long that I watched the show trying to think like a superhero in response to the challenges. This would be the one reality show that I actually would like to be on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

By the way, while watching last night's show, I was wondering if the "Secret Identity" challenge was a response to Marvel's current Civil war storyline and Spiderman's involvement with it? ?

You might have heard one of Stan's responses was would Superman tell his real name or would Spider-man... ;D Graymar

Not that I watch the show (the wife DVRs it for her own viewing), but for those of you who keep forgetting that it's on, I believe Sci-Fi reruns the previous week's show right after ECW on Tuesday.

I can't tell if the show is cool or totally lame. I will say this...I dig the concept, but the people they chose kind of suck imo.

You know I actually sent in an aplication to get on this program but I wasn't invited to the auditions. Maybe my ap got lost or something, ah well. I like the show. It's good to see reality TV trying to teach some moral character instead of just trying to get twentysomethings to sleep together. I personally can't belive some of the things that have been happining on the show (some of the eliminations I don't agree with...) but I still enjoy it. Look for Major Victory or Feedback to win it all IMNSHO. Big Time
PS: Yes I do intend to try out for season 2 if they do one.

Totally agree about Stan's legacy, and I hope you convince him.. the more of this goofy stuff he does, the less people will remember him for the good stuff. Of course, I may be a bit biased, being prolly the only person in the world you really liked his last series (Ravage 2099)
