I really hope they start doing more of these cartoons. I think this is one of Marvel's big disappointments. I loved the X-Men cartoon and was pumped for the Spidey one. But I never cared for the Spidey one...there wasn't a lot of continuinity in it...kinda rushed.
Don't get me started on those crap wastes cartoons Fantastic Four, Iron Man, Hulk, Silver Surfer and the first Avengers animated series (but we at least got some cool toys!!).
Hopefully, they're going to raise the bar on their animation department and Avengers is a great start!!! I'm hoping for a lot more!

Personally, I'd rather see more effort put into the animated division than the "You can see the wires/Look at our CGI" live-action flicks.
Plus, we might get to see some mixing of licenses this way, so that Spider-Man can appear in a movie with the X-Men and so forth.
That's the problem with the movie deals....DC, at one time, had their licenses so fragmented that Superman and Batman couldn't appear in anything together, or with any of the other DC characters (shy of comic books...I'm talking action figures, video games, lunchboxes, cartoons, etc...) To ME, the "whole universe" is the fun of Marvel (and to a lesser extent, DC).

Yeah, when Daredevil came out, since it was done by another studio, they had a contract so that the Kingpin could never be in Spider Man.
Now granted, there are other villians I'd rather see in the Spidey movies than KP, but would have been interesting.

id like to see one animation house handle all of the marvel animation and give the universe some consistancy.... this is where dc has been pummeliing marvel for oh, the last 16 years...
with the appearant death of the "Timm Style", marvel has an opportunity to strike while the irons hot.

I hope and wish for your assessment to come true piston. LIke I said in my earlier post, I hated the animation for Spidey, FF, Iron Man, Hulk, Surfer..etc on Saturday mornings in the 90s. The DC "Timm Style" blew them away.
But I think they do have the opportunity to strike...hopefully they'll follow up on it
