Has anyone seen it yet? I basically thought it sucked and was a waste of $10. HOWEVER... as I was watching it... and since I play aCe... it made me think of the atmosphere of Centra since the takeover by Murdok's undead forces. Are Murdok's zombies as dumb-ass as those in the Romero films? Or just a bit brighter? I mean Romero's zombie's are cannibalistic killers... I don't picture Corporal Tek or Cremator being as such. Maybe Noxious.... I don't even picture Trisis as animalistic. What do u all think?

Well, I unfortunately seen it and I agree that it was a waste of $ but I also kept myself entertained by making fun of my best friend (who covers his eyes when a scary part comes up...just kidding! ) and by trying to think of the aCe...the way that I play this angle is Trisis lumbers around looking for a snack but is controlled and collared by the Unholy Alliance...Noxious was released from my fed but he hasn't fell into the plague far enough to have to be restrained. Corporal TEK and Cremator, the way that I figure, has naturally built up an immunity to the plague. That's my opinion...

Man, I'm sorta bummed that 2 outta three of you guys are giving LAND OF THE DEAD the ol' thumbs down...i've been pretty stoked to see it, but just haven't had the time yet.
Glad that this type of cinema conjures up thoughts of the aCe though. See, when i write this stuff, these types of films are going through my head as well.
We're mind-melding fellas.
Ewww...

I thought Land of the Dead was OK. Nothing great. Wait for the DVD. It wasn't a waste of $8 for me, but it wasn't a movie I would recommend. I'm sure there are better one's out there.
I'm stoked about Devil's Rejects.

Better zombie flicks?
Methinks you overestimate the genre.
I thought it was good, but not mindblowing. Easily the weakest of Romero's saga, but the first threee were so freaking good, that it was going to be hard not to be #4.
It was FAR from a waste of money, though...I have only ever bough a ticket to a ovie and thought it was a waste of money...and I promise, I only even went to see Matrix Reloaded under extreme pressure from my wife and friends.

Romaro Land of the Dead was excellent. It not only had Asia Argento, metaphorical plot, the guys from Shaun of the dead but it also deviated from the current zombie standard by holding onto Stephen King like characters( 80s characters) and went plot first from the get go. Its a movies you can watch over and over and get something new from it. Especially in our terrorist active times.
