I don't like the little dice either, except for late night sessions when the wife is in bed. They do roll a lot quieter, but I think all the yelling might keep her awake anyway.

As far as muffling dice, I have a cloth placemat that I put the cards on and roll the dice on that. No rattling at all unless a stray one goes off to the side. Can't help you on the yelling, though. See your therapist.

For future reference we do sell the dice only if you ask. I think Leslie charged $1 for 2 pairs or something like that. Personally I can't use those little dice, but I know many who do. That's helpful. I have an order to place soon, I'll be sure to call this one in so I can ask about it and have some backups.

20 + years of COTG...and i am 100% positive that i have only used the red and blue dice that came with the game!
The ones i have right now i have been using for over 15 years!
I agree with Splattercat...it just wouldn't be right not to use them!
Also...at one point on this board someone did post a topic on dice and they had a website that had some very cool ones...lots of different colors and materials...I was intrigued by the "bone" dice, but obviously based on the above, not intrigued enough to put the red and blue ones down...

As much as I hate those evil tiny dice nothing is worse than the 4 sided pyramid shaped dungeons and dragons dice

Anything over 20 was just idiotic to me.

could you imagine if COTG ran on a 20-sided dice system? Think of all of the work Mark and Kris would have to put into creating their characters... it would certainly have taken bootlegging out of my system.

I didn't mind D&D giving me d20's...I hated the white crayon they included in the box, expecting me to colour my own dice so i could see the numbers....

Today, in a shocking return, the little blue dice that had vanished into thin air suddenly appeared. Darn cats. I don't know where they had it hid for the last few weeks but they decided to finally give it back to me today.

Anything over 20 was just idiotic to me. When I was a kid I saw a shiny d100 in the game store and had to have it. The stupid thing never stopped rolling. 2 d10's is the way to go for percentiles.
