Yeah I have Visual Basic. I usually just make programs I use for counting stuff and my own personal needs. Cause all the great stuff these days is promoter sims. Which I suck at. And Sadly PWSE is dead from last I heard.

Ringking - One of the more ambitious projects I did was an accounting program to keep track of how much liquor a bar uses,compared to the amount of money collected.

I did a booker sim that worked nicely.It was a lot like Extreme Warfare without all the unnessesary stuff that took up space and slowed down the game.I called it indybs and for the lazy people indybsc same as the other version except it only the Tag Title,Secondary Title and World Title matches.

Anyway this thread is my way of keeping wrestling sims and sim programing alive.

I think Virtual Basic was the begining of the end for wrestling sims.You have to be a serious programmer to understand how program stuff.QBasic and (for Mac) Chipmunk Basic were fairly straight forward and fairly simple to understand.It was cool because I could "cross platform" with Chipmunk Basic.Just gotta know how.
My point is a lot of the sim programmers started out to do these great sims on Virtual Basic but gave up in the end because it was to complicated.

Promotion Sims...BAH!Give me single match sims anytime!They read better and to me anyway more fun to play around with.Mostly because I can pit anyone against anyone as you can tell by my "shows".

Wrestling Sims are getting increasing hard to find.Okicrab's website still works you can download his sims there.
Ringking has a website.I bet if you ask nicely he'd send you copies of his sims.Geeksoft's ZeusPro is available at their site.(Zeus 3 actually works better.Wrestling Sims and Stuff website.)You can get TMN 6 for free too just have to find a site to download from.

There are also the newer and way to complicated sims...I downed loaded 5GWS.I couldn't even figure out how to get it ready to generate matches.(And I'm a programmer!)Promotion Wars and Extreme Warfare...I don't know if they've gotten any better.I had the original versions.Takes really long to setup.While they have really Professional looking interfaces,the matches they generated were not up to par with the simpler single match sims.TNM matches are also sub par.It spits out wrestling moves until it hits a pin situation.The matches are long and moves are repeated way to often for it to be believeable.

Now I'm not saying those aren't good sims.I'm just saying they aren't what I'm looking for as far as sims go.I'm still cruising the net seeing what sims are available and where.I will keep you posted.
