Been playing more wrestling videogames lately? It seems all ive been playing is Fire Pro D and Virtual Pro Wrestling and they both never seem to get old. I dont know what it is but I have been creating RoH caws in Fire Pro like crazy. My first videogame love is still the Aki series of games so Virtual Pro gets alot of play as well. Me and my buddies always would rock out on No Mercy but my american 64 seems to have died. My Japanese 64 is still like new so no problems there but man its like I take a year off of playing my old school wrestling games and just come back. I tried to give Smackdown for my 360 a shot but it just doesnt hold my attention. What really killed it a couple months back I got the 3 red light 360 death crash and that put my Xbox on the shelf until it got repaired. Now that I got my 360 back I cant stop playing my old systems. Anyone else still dust off there old wrestling videogames?

I've been going back and forth between Smackdown 2006 and 2006. I have a number of LOW wrestlers on both, so I was playing some fun matches like;
Crusher vs. Kowalski (Hardcore Title) Kowalski + Lewis vs. Baba and Rikidozan vs. Brody + Ox Gotch vs. Hack Hodge vs. SD Jones (based on an actual feud in my fed) Jonathan vs. Yukon Eric (for no reason) Severn vs. Everyone!
I ran Kowalski through season and had some fun with him, though the voice is way off. The main problem though, is they rarely let you be a heel in Season. I laughed though when he went head to head with Triple H. "Hunter, The Teacher is here!"
Take care,
Jay

Day of Reckoning 2 still remains a solid engine and a really fun roster. I bust that out about once a week and play around.
Whenever I'm visiting my parents I'll usually play a little No Mercy (I gave my N64 to my little sister when I moved out because she still plays some games on it).

Going through Fire Pro Returns and Galactic Wrestling (I'm a fan of the Kinnikuman/Ultimate Muscle mangas). I also have King Of Collosseum 2 which I haven't gone into yet.

One of my buddies has one of the old PS2 WWE games that we play all the time. I don't remember which one it is - I just remember that it's got TLC matches and I always use RVD and jump off of the tallest crap I can. Good times.

Nope... but I may get into FPW2, I've been rolling the dice more now then I have in the last five years with the Legends of Wrestling game. But I like FPW2 from time to time.

I played Fire Pro D until my Dreamcast died. Still maybe my favorite Fire Pro game.
My friend got me Fire Pro R for my birthday this year. While it is amazing and I love I haven't played it as much as I've liked just because of my schedule. However I don't leave the house without FPW2 on GBA and probably play at least 3 matches a day. That game still has my favorite Fire Pro Roster.

I bought a used copy of WWE Raw 2 for the (original) Xbox a couple months ago....until I get a 360 and can get Smackdown v. Raw, it's been quite fun. Obviously very dated roster, with guys like Goldberg and Steiner and others on it....but it's still pretty entertaining. And hell, it cost me like $5.

Raw 2's entrances were fun to create, especially when you could get the game to say certain names. However the mechanic itself was awful!
My first match was Brock (me) vs. Kurt. Kurt knocked me down with a shoulder tackle, then spent 10 minutes (I'm not kidding) trying to pin me over and over again.
I tried season mode and did pretty well until I had to defend my title against Flair. During the match, my own allies ran out, knocked me down, and ran around the ladder so Flair could climb it unhindered.
Not to mention that when you create wrestlers, you have to do wrestling attires And behind the scenes attires or your wrestlers will run out with generic appearances (meaning thay look like the basic wrestler, not who you created).
Sorry about the rant, but I hated that game with a passion (along with Smackdown vs. Raw, the original).
Take care,
Jay
