I checked it out and it does look cool. THe 3D scaffold match is pretty impressive. It is clear that a lot of work went into this game. And it is free, which is surprising given the work involved (but then there would be copyright issues if money was involved )

OK, OK. My apologies. I didn't take the time to look at this and didn't realize it was free. With some of the nonsense with similar type endeavors that has occurred in the past, forgive me for being a little "jumpy."
Sorry dude. No offense intended.

No offense taken, I thought I understood what your 'hesitation' might be, but sometimes I get flamed for just trying to show it off. I'm no competition to CotG, LoW, or anyone else, just a wrestling fan (80's), and a gamer who has some Photoshop skills! ;D Thanks for looking! Joel

As far as the 'work' involved, it's a hobby, I enjoy creating these things so it's not work. My nine-to-five is WORK (I teach first grade, LOL!) Thanks for looking, Joel

I checked it out and it looks pretty cool man! Nicely done you obviously spent a lot of time on it. I have a hard enough time finding time to play CoTG so I will be passing, but back in the day I would have been all over it! Nice work!

Like Ringmaster, I simply don't have enough time to try your game out, although I can say that it looks AMAZING. I don't think the WWE themselves ever produced a tabletop game worth picking up. I would like to welcome you to the boards. Do you own COTG or LOW? I think you'd fit in really well around here. You're obviously artistic, talented, and creative. Thanks for sharing man, and keep up the good work.

Thanks for sharing man, and keep up the good work. Thank you, Goodzilla. I loved the ads for CotG in PWI in the 80's, but I could never get my parents to spring for it! (They would however fund my CWF & IWA play-by-mail wrestling hobby, so go figure!) A few years ago I purchased LoW when it first came out. Love it! I submitted many bootleg classic superstars with the 'shaded' Photoshop look that was prevalent (at least at the time) but I didn't really like the bootleg art (my own included). I also played TNM (computer wrestling game) and started making the wrestler art you see in my game for TNM so everyone would have a 'uniform look' (yeah, I'm OCD) i.e. full body shot, colored background, etc. Then I started playing Heroclix (damn addictive!) and wished there was more of a strategy & miniatures based wrestling game, so I put my minimal Photoshopping skills to work on WrestleFest! I went online last summer, got some good tips from a few guys on my forum and tweaked it into a game I'm pretty proud of. I understand about investing time in another game!! This community is obviously very wrapped up in CotG & LoW, but I figure a few might give mine a try and offer some tips or changes. You can't beat the price! ;D Thanks for reading, Joel

I wish it was around when I was a preteen-hand drawing each WWF, NWA, AWA & Japanese star for my silly wrestling games I made with a buddy in junior high! I had nothing but time back then! But now with work, family, kids, etc...where'd all MY time go!?!?!? ;D Joel

Welcome! Your game looks really awsome (although I have to talk with you about Bad News Allen...).
And if others are over sensitive, we have had some people come and introduce their game on here, only to run down CotG. Needless to say, we didn't take to that well. So we are a little protective, that's all.

So we are a little protective, that's all. You won't hear that from me! If anything, Tom runs *the best* game, and is a super nice guy to boot! I ordered LOW a couple of years ago, and when he answered my call, I was amazed! LOL (in hindsight I probably shouldn't have been) but we chatted and being from Indianapolis I asked about getting Dick the Bruiser and some WWA guys in his game. Again, super nice guy in the few minutes I talked to him. (As I'm sure you all know!) And in my mind, my game is different than his. They're both wrestling games, but each has unique qualities unto themselves. And I like Vince's business philosphy of making your product look good, but not by running down anyone else's. (at least he stated that at one time) Joel

I have played and do play IWA (Play by mail), although it actually has very little to do with wrestling. Your game looks great and the fact that its free is awesome. Unfortunately, like so many others, time does not allow for it, but its impressive to say the least.

I played the IWA for like 10 years. It was cool and killed some boredom. Can't compare to CoTG of course... I won belts and plaques and money and crap from it so it was all gravy and fun.

I tried a PBM when I first got into wrestling but I quickly found that Tom's game was much better and more fun. Glad to see that this game is free.

I was skeptical at first, but I checked the Wrestlefest site out, and this guy has put a lot of work into it. It's a lot more like Heroclix than COTG., with elements of a few other games thrown in.
The sets and rings, and what have not, look stellar. And you can't beat the fact that this dude is just doing it as a hobby and all of this stuff is free for download. So even if you don't like it, all you're out is the time you spent to check it out.
