Anyone catch this rather unique list of legends for the upcoming WWE SMACKDOWN vs. RAW 2007 game? BAM BAM BIGELOW BRET HART MICK FOLEY (YES, IN THREE FRICKIN' SLOTS - CACTUS JACK/DUDE LOVE/MANKIND) DUSTY RHODES EDDIE GUERRERO HULK HOGAN (ONLY ONE INCARNATION THIS TIME) JERRY LAWLER JIM NEIDHART MR PERFECT (NOW THAT'S PERFECT!!!!!!!) THE ROCK RODDY PIPER STEVE AUSTIN TAZZ (ecw VERSION) SHANE McMAHON ( ?) Some of these legends (Bigelow, Perfect and Tazz) are awesome new additions to the game, and some (McMahon) are a bit odd, but overall I think this is going to be a fine little update to the series. XBOX 360 fans, not only can you download a demo now, but you can buy a collector's edition that includes an embossed steel case and a copy of the HISTORY OF THE WWE TITLE DVD!!! In years past, I've been able to play a complete version in advance. No such luck this year, but I still have a few friends at THQ who I can trust to be extremely objective about the game. I'll keep you posted.

Nice looking list. I'm actually rather excited about Neidhart being in the game, because I can't wait to play the Hart Foundation! A couple of guys (George Steel and Sgt. Slaughter) who I thought were shoe-ins after being included on the legends poll on the games official web site are surprising exclusions . . . But maybe they'll be PSP or 360 exclusives. Not loving Foley in three slots, just like I didn't love three versions of Hogan last year.

For the record, the THQ website debut with that poll, which suggests it was either never real, or it was never updated. Personally, I'm going to miss having Andre and Dibiase. The Megabucks ruled last year's game.

Awesome: Bam Bam, Perfect, Dusty, Tazz, Shane-O WTF: Foley
I hope it's an old-school Lawler but I doubt it.
Your SDVR updates are one of the many reasons I'm glad you came back Rings! Thanks!

I do agree that the game won't be the same without the mega bucks.

Heck, it's nice that I could get a chance to play as Dude Love. Looks like a good list.

I was on some game site, I don't remember which, but SD v. RAW 2007 was listed as cancelled for the PS3. Has anyone else heard about this? Gives me a reason to hold off on a PS3 if there's no wrestling game.
Thanks for the update on the Legends RingsYde.

Gamespot only lists it as PS2 and X360.

It's true. THQ has joined a growing list of companies who have taken a "wait and see" approach to the PS3. Many of you were either bothered or apathetic about my comments on the PS3's pending problems, but the support for my arguments about that machine's doom are popping up everywhere.
THQ has said they will evalaute the PS3 after the launch, and from this evaluation they will determine whether or not to plan SDvR08 for the PS3 next year.

I read somewhere taht they have drastically revamped matches involving the Ladder this time around. Laddwer matches wer ealways so difficult for me in the previous versions and I can't imagine how much more difficult the ladder match will be this year. Outside of that, I look forwards to the game.

I always thought the ladder matches were too easy.

I really feel this series needs a major overhaul. I have always liked the games but there is very little difference from one year to the next. Also why can't they keep legends from past games in and just add more names to that list? I know there is limited space on the game disc but I doubt it is that limited.

Personally, I think that there should be a LEGENDS SVR kind of thing-give the legends of the busines their own game-look at how much talent the WWE inducts into their hall of fame each year that we never see in the games...Harley race, Don Muraco, Paul Orndorf, "superstar" Bill Graham. I could go on but in my opinion THAt is what they should do with the "legends" stick them in their own game so that leaves room in the SVR games for something else like say an ECW extension ot the SVR games, richer storylines and More specialty Matches with easier playability-I.E the ladder & Buried alive macthes(I went 45 minutes TRYING to shove Taker into the coffin-finally got him in).

Also, think about the revenue a Legends game would make. WWE might be missing out on a huge deal here.
Awesome idea about a seperate legends game.

According to Yukes, a licensing agreement for just such a (Legends) game is in place, but the prevailing notion is that legends fans will be able to (soon) download any number of them via Sony and X-Box Live internet service.
