Gunna roool. GUNNA ROOOOL.
Nintendo has freaking OWNED E3 this year. They just came out firing in all directions. I've heard they have TWENTY SEVEN(!) games for the Wii that are playable at E3. Most, if not all of them will be launch titles.
Thats just insane. Not to mention the DS news that have broke, including the incredibly awesome looking Mario DS

It's looking like they might all be released in the "launch window" but I doubt highly all of them will e available at launch.
Especially the 1st-party titles. With Zelda: TP confirmed for launch, having Metroid and SMG available alongside that seems like asking for trouble. IMO it's in Nintendo's best interest to stagger those major releases, maybe a month apart each (TP at launch -> Mario at Christmas -> Metroid to kick of new year -> etc.), using it's other properties (like Excite Truck) to fill in the launch. Of course, the third-party stuff (like Red Steel) is on its own schedule.

It's mostly just a statement from Nintendo. Their coming out and saying "We've learned. We messed up bad last cycle, but we're not going to repeat it" with all these games.
The GC didn't have a good launch, didn't have a good Mario game, and really was just kept alive by the price and SSB:M at the beginning. Nintendo's trying to show that it won't happen again.
If it WILL happen or not, is anyone's guess, but Nintendo's doing their damnedest to get fan approval for this.

Digging way back to bump this thread with the newest trailer for SSBB. Shows some new stages and officially announces a 10th character (Fox -- no surprise), but otherwise just this game continuing to look awesome.

SSB is a great party game. Its always fun to get together with friends, have a few drinks, and play some Smash Brothers.
I've had lots of fun with the version on Gamecube.

It's ALL about the Fox... ;D That aside, Super Smash Brothers is such a simple, and awesome concept...The original inspired Local tournaments (someone won with Jigglypuff once and Melee was nothing but improvement...it's one of those (for some reason) rare series' that always seems to get better, like Grand Theft Auto... Looking forward to Brawl...it'll be awesome...
