$229.99 is the price being floated around the Nintendo offices. Games should be between $39.99 and $49.99.

Yep, then I'll definitely be getting one. Better than the crazy prices Sony is throwing around.

From IGN.com: ps3.ign.com/articles/705/705838p1.html$499 - $599 for the system and a a November 17th release date makes for an interesting holiday season. I'll be interested to see the memory requirements for the games and other features. This will have a huge bearing on which system I pre-order. WOW thats high! PS2 is now on $99! Can you believe it?!

Famitsu poll posted on gonintendo.com
Which of the 3 next generation consoles do you want to buy?
65.09%: Wii 19.53%: PS3 13.61%: Xbox 360 (including import) 1.78%: None
Are you going to buy a Wii?
57%: Yes 33%: I’m thinking about it 10%: No
Is the 62,790 yen price tag for the basic version of the PS3 expensive?
87.57%: This is not a price for a game console. 10.06%: It is not surprising when you look at the features. 2.37%: It is actually less expensive than I feared.
Should the PS3 have great games for the launch, would this push to buy the console even if it is expensive?
46.75%: No 37.87%: I need time to think 15.38%: Yes
Will you buy an Xbox 360?
44.97%: No 33.14%: Maybe 17.75%: Thinking about it 4.14%: Yes
CRAP am I excited about the Wii. Awesome launch titles! I'm sure PS3 will have dope ones too, but there is no way I'm paying $600 for a gaming system.

Hmm, amazing how a poll posted on Nintendo is so pro-Nintendo.
Seriously, I'm starting to warm to the Wii, but I'm pretty certain at this point that I'm going to get the PS3.

It was on IGN as well, just where I read it first. And the poll wasn't taken on the site, the results from the Japanese poll were just posted.
