I know most on this thread usually talk video or strategic games, but my wife and me received Apples to Apples for Christmas.
It's actually a fun, easy game. It's very simple, but anyone can play. All you need is a creative mind.
The only drawback is you need at least 4 players. Other than that...highly recomended!

What is this game Trav? I'm a big fan of board games, and my wife is too. What's it about?

I'd like to jump in with a note of agreement with GWFfanTrav about A& A. It's a great game...we play pretty regularly with large groups (say relatives at the holidays). It's one of what I refer to as the "new breed" of light family-oriented games where playing is more important than winning and personal expression is front and center instead of a preconceived game concept. I put the Cranium game series in the same category....as well as Imagine If and a host of others.
And to offspring515, it's a card game, not a board game. It's a remarkably simply concept...elegantly simple but pure fun. I've brought A&A to several parties and it's been a hit just about every time.

We play this at a friends house when there is a bunch of people over. This game is great with say 15-20 people in a big circle. We love it. Everyone should try this game.
