Couple of stupid questions...
I am absolutely unable to win a Buried Alive match, no matter how much I beat my opponent down...is there some trick to it other than "push down on the Right Analog Stick and pray"?
And...the premade movesets...do they require unlocking? They seem to, but I can't find anything about how to unlock them.
Thanks, Tommy

I don't even mess with putting them in the casket. Just do the buried alive finisher. Much more fun.

Yeah, you have to throw the guy into the casket like a hundred times if you don't use the Casket Finisher. As for the Move sets go to create a move set in the create mode choose who to edit and it's under auto-settings, pre-set move-sets.

Agreed the casket finishers are SWEET..and some of the move sets do require unlocking...i think the first set of challenges or the tough enough trophy unlocks them all

What I want to know is how the heck "challenge mode" works. Even if I do what is required, I don't get credit for it. its really got me ticked off. on a side note, does anyone know if the Gameshark is compatible with the newer smaller playstations?

I've not had a problem with challenge mode. I continue to get credit for doing the challenges over every match I play.
To unlock all the movesets you have to win the Tough Enough Trophy (win 10 matches with a CAW) and unlock all the Legends accept for Jake Roberts.
Easy way to get the TE Trophy: Make a female Caw and if you have played through both seasons you should be able to get her to about an 85 rateing. Then load a match with Joy Giovonni. She's easy pickings. Then just keep hitting rematch till you beat her 10 tmes. My fastest was under a minute.

Also, don't forget you can complete challenges with 2 player (except slobbernocker). Make sure you have the right difficulty set though. If you set it to 2 p, and immediately hit your opponent with a running strike, followed by a pin, you should unlock 3 challenges right there.
As for the buried alive matches, I only played once against the com, and I used the casket finisher. Save a finisher, get a second, throw the opponent against the casket, then hit L1. I did that as Splatter, and he powerbombed Kane right in.
Take care,
Jay

No problem, Bri. I played season mode last night as "The Vampire" Trevor Bane (using the gothic sample with a few minor changes). I got the the UT storyline, and in the match, he bulldogged UT into the casket for the win. Maybe it was because he's a cruiserweight, but it was pretty cool!
Take care,
Jay

Yeah, the lighter guys seem to use the bulldog, while the heavier guys tend to powerbomb. With a few notable acceptions. Michaels knocks them in with the superkick, Cena plant them with the FU, Kane chokeslams them in, and Taker specifically does the Last Ride.

It took me 3 tries to beat the SlobberKnocker challenge this week. I tried it first with Hogan 80's, as he's probably the best wrestler in the game (forgive me Jay! I had to do it! LOL!), but I needed 30 wins to beat it and Edge was the 30th guy and beat me! I said a few choice words and tossed the controller across the room while my girlfriend laughed her a$$ off at me (I'm sure several of you have been in this situation).
So I thought Triple H would be a good choice since the Pedigree would easily KO someone. He only lasted until HE TAPPED OUT around 23 or 24 (I forget to whom, as the anger had completely abolished any rational thought at this point).
Finally, I used the Rock (10 for stamina) and won it, although my girlfriend walked right in front of the TV as Snitsky (THE 30TH GUY) made me tap out! (She's yet to realize the golden rule of NEVER walking in front of the TV during a video game! She at least could've given me a "pause warning" or something! Women...) I thought I had lost and for about three seconds, contemplated moving into a hotel because I thought I had to get 31wins but luckily, I beat the 30 guys in a shorter time than the leader so I was now the man. I think it took me almost 2 hours altogether. What an adventure...

Don't feel bad about using Hogan, Bri. I used Triple H when I played, and I ended up scoring 38 wins before UT chokeslammed me out. My fiancee never walked in front of the TV, though she knows all too well my familiar habits of yelling, cursing, and turning the controller into a projectile. Maybe it's a guy thing...
Take care,
Jay

Yeah, it must be a guy thing. Maybe we can work on that after we figure the toilet seat thing out.
Question: In the amateur RR challenge, does your original guy have to toss 10 people out? My original guy (Rock) tossed 4 but then got eliminated, so I hit the select button and became Booker T, tossed 8 more out, and won the match. So altogether I tossed 12 people out and won the match, but I didn't beat the challenge. What gives?

Well there are 2 RR challenges. In the one with only 10 guys, you just have to enter as number 1 and win. The one with all 30, yes you have to eliminate at least 10 guys.
Here's a tip:
Create a CAW with the lowest weight class and give him no points at all. Clone him about 20 times. Put him (them) in the RR with any other cruiserweights and play as Andre. Play 2 player with yourself entering as #1 and player 2 entering as #2.
Now as soon as you start, Irish whip the guy to the apron and grapple him. You should forearm smash him right off the apron. At this point, #3 should be running out. Hit select on the player 2 controller and repeat the above until you get 10 guys out, though I reccommend you do it with everyone because I've been eliminated by those wimps before, and you've probably done enough cursing without needing to have #29 send you to the floor.
Cheap tactic, but if you're just trying to unlock stuff, it works rather well. Just be patient because things could get boring after a while.
Oh Bri, here's an interesting story for you, it made my jaw drop:
I was Shon Maxx (CAW) wrestling Andre. Well, Andre was using my 220 pounds to demonstrate the concept of rag-doll physics, so I decided that desperate times called for desperate messures. I got him to the floor and Irish whipped him up the ramp. I hit a tornado DDT on the ramp and began running to the ring. The referee got to 9, and all I had to do was baseball-slide under the ropes. At that point, when I was a hair-width from the apron, my stamina decided to run out, and I collapsed right in front of the ring. By the time I got up, the ref counted to 10, and it was over. Talk about choking at the finish line!
Take care,
Jay

Man, that had to sting! I'll try the RR tip tonight. Before I started with the worst wrestlers based on points, then worked my way up. I had an easy time eliminating guys but when 2 ganged up on me I was toast.

Eh, sorry. I just never really played exibition matches. Seems like you should be able to do all that stuff in storyline mode as that is the major one person [playing] feature to the game! Live and learn I guess.
