A message from the WrestlingWars guys

This is a PM I received from one of the WrestlingWars creators (Dan; entropicengine on their forum) while addresing various fine points in a conversation that stemmed from our discussion about bad wrestling games; he has given me premission to re-post it here for you all to see.
He's looking into un-banning any of you who may have been banned from there unfairly, if you're interested. As I noted in the other (now locked) thread, they have taken steps to remove the offensive references to Tom and CotG from their site, with only their FAQ page still containing such content as far as I can tell.
Whether or not their product is a "rip-off" of CotG is something that hasn't been discussed for obvious reasons, the chief among them being that I am not an employee of Filsinger Games. The only way to really know -- until they add some more content to their site -- is to try the game for yourself; I still have no interest in the setting, so I won't be That Guy. I personally hope it isn't.
This doesn't mean you can no longer express your opinions of the game, its artwork, or whatever. But I do expect the discussions to be as friendly as our other topics (for your personal value of "friendly", at any rate). Feel free to join in their forum discussions if you wish (you will need to register). And by the same token, if any WW fans decide to join our discussions here, they are welcome and shouldn't be flamed (provided they behave like rational humans, naturally).
Everyone cool with that?
i appreciate your willingness to have a dialogue. i also would like to compliment you on your message board. you have a lot of cool topics and it seems to have lots of interest.
i can see that lots of people took things we had said to heart. i really respect the loyalty and the close relationships that seem to be part of your community. i had honestly never really looked at your boards until recently. i think i understand where you guys are coming from a lot better now. i had played cotg before, many years ago, but never owned a set or got into the community. honestly, there are some good people around there and i do apologize for offending all of you with what we said. it was never what we wanted to do. like i said, we just wanted to get noticed and help to grow the industry through competition. either way, our company is commited to change course to really showcase what we have and not focus on other products so much.
on another note, you're absolutely right. WW and COTG are apples and oranges. we wanted to make WW a really gritty, edgy realistc experience. we wanted it to be a lot like what you see on tv and in arenas around the world today. if that's not what you are into, i have no problem with that. whether you buy WW or not, i do hope that you still come in to our forum and say hey every once in awhile. i have enjoyed hearing from you and hope that there won't be hard feelings that prevent you from participating here. dan
