I'm pleased with the PS2 and the two current games I have, EA Sports Rugby 2005 and EA Sports NCAA Football 2006. I just won the Division 3 Title with Ulster, and I'm 1-1 with the UAB Blazers in the College Ranks. But the game that I just ordered with the Flip Top Cover and Swap Magic Discs V3.6 has my main attention. The Flip-Top works for my model and I'm really looking to play FPW. I would like to hear some reports on FPW from the guys who now have it for their PS2...

I'll have a full review and pics to post here sometime this week-I was going to do it today, but have to take my dog to the vet after work, so it'll be a while.
The pics will be of COTG wrestlers, BTW.

I'll review now and take pics later-
The game is great. Characters are really big and they have a HUGE variety in guys that you can pick...like FP games usually do, but the roster is extremely large, I think like 250 guys or something around there.
Room for 500(!!!!) Edits means I can make COTG guys and all the regular wrestlers I want and not worry about running out of space
I'm trying to figure out a system to use the card stats to make all the other stats-like an excel spreadsheet that'll tell you what you should make each value....that'll be a while and I want to wait until a few of you guys get the game too, so I can talk about possible conversions.
The cage matches are fun but the AI is either extrememly brutal in them or totally sucks-escape matches end really fast, pin only they won't follow you out to brawl on the floor.
The kickboxing rules only let you strike, if you grapple you do a clinch, kind of cool.
MMA mode has rounds now.
Booking in match make mode is cool because you can play all the matches if you want or just watch them. Highest rated CPU so far was Petey Williams vs Minoru Tanaka where Minoru tapped Petey after eating a Canadian Destroyer on the floor, highest rated I've controlled was Dick Togo vs Sanshiro Takagi in a DDT main event which saw an elevated pedigree on a pile of chairs for the finish.
New moves look really good. They didn't add any WWE stuff though, other than what was already in FPZ, but the 619 is in(but a lot of Japanese guys use it too).
No new WWE edit heads from Z, but they still have a lot, everyone from Brock Lesnar to the Hardy Boyz to Brock Lesnar...no Cena or Batista or anything like that, but they're pretty easy to make.
The Chair Illusion is the greatest move ever-the ref DQs automatically for it if the other guy is hurt enough(works like a submission) and the animation is hilarious.
One of the corner to center moves is sweet chin music w/ foot stomping(you don't see the foot stomping when you preview the move in edit, but it's there, TAKA has the move)
8 man elimination tags RULE, heels stay and interfere in the match by distracting the ref and annoy the hell out of you.
You get DQed for using weapons, ref counts to 5 (usually really fast) if you have a chair, if you use it or not. You can drop it and restart the count, but it makes it way harder to use weapons, which is good-before you could just go get one and clock the guy and nothing happened DQ wise.
Fire, green mist, and explosions look a lot better. Mist stays on the guy after you hit them with it.
They have a ripoff of eye of the tiger in edit mode, and a Hulk Hogan theme, joining ripoffs of Iron Man for the Road Warriors, ripoff Angle, HHH, Rock, Austin, and Goldberg themes
The game is great, and I couldn't say enough good things about it. Any specific questions, you can ask away, I'm here for 6 more hours.

Is the game mostly in Japanese? From some of the screen shots there are some english text, and does the wrestler name's consist of all Japanese letters or you can use english letters? Maybe someone who can translate Japanese to English can post what the each letter means in English and the controller layouts too.

Yeah Billwood's guide is awesome, and will get you through the game. You can rename everyone in english but the menus are still all in Japanese, but you'll find your way around with the guide, and eventually memorize where everything is(which I'm starting to do right now).
It's 500 edits plus the other wrestlers for almost 800 total wrestlers if you use all the edit slots.
You guys should sign up for the forums over at fireproclub.com...I'm tromataker over there if you guys decide to look me up.
As for translating each individual character, it isn't really needed-the english patch is supposedly coming along really nicely but has some major spelling issues that need to be fixed like "Steal cage"

Do you need a computer to download this patch or if we join FireProClub.com we can get it from whoever is making the patch?

You need a computer with a DVD burner to use the patch, and a copy of the game. You basically will copy the game to your computer and patch it, then burn a new DVD.
People aren't going to be giving out patched games because that would be giving pirated copies of the game to people(because if you can play imports, you can play those unless you're using a Japanese PS2 to play imports).
You can give out the actual patch all you want because you need the game to be able to use it.

Just to mention, since I didn't before, a few FAQs are up on gamefaqs.com, the game is listed under Fi Pro Returns though

I did get the game yesterday and the slide card as well. The slide card works pretty well. You only have to do a little bit of modding. It doesn't end you warranty either. My warranty ,however, ended long ago so that doesn't really effect me at all.

I just got a confirmation that I have the Flip Cover and Swap Magic discs on the way. I mailed out for the game today and I could see that maybe late next week. Over at FPC.com the Fire Pro American site has a boat load of guys created from WWE, WCW and TNA and I just created RAVEN for FPW2 (GBA).
