No, but I have many figures and manuals, and understand some of the basic rules. Heroclix is a MUCH simplified version of WH40K. I really like it because it lets me do what I have wanted to do since I was 10- play with my comic books.
Some characters are not done the"way you think they should be". They make money by reissuing different versions of the characters. There probably will never be a Spiderman figure that gets everything right, but they put out so many versions that you can be sure to find one that suits your liking.

I have some just as a comic fan. It looks interesting but I really don't have the resources to field a group for a game and neither do my friends.

I got sets of the 1st Marvel and DC core sets when they came out, but just didn't find the game that involving. You'd find one combo that would work and people we're constantly using Firelord/Vulture combo to taxi in and lob shots at you. Got real old real fast.
Now Sportsclix that's a different story....

yeah, I usually play with a friend, and we just throw guys on the table, not really using Firelord or Invisible girl or what not.
I mainly play villian teams, and try to use Vet Doc Ock on all of them!

Yeah, I'm like Mad Dog. Was buying them because I love comics and the figures are pretty cool by themselves. I've never played a game, I know some of the rules and I might at least try to play one of these days. Money's been tight and bills come and go so Heroclix had to be be abandoned. If I had actually played I might have stuck with it, especially if Groo had been in the Indies set.

Price is one of its main downfalls. 7 bucks for 4 random figures? I find it is easier to shop on ebay for them.

there's no Lobo...and for that..i shall never play this Heroclix...but if they do make a Lobo...I still won't play because of this percieved slight

By the time I got to Wizard World LA they sold out of Galactus. Then he went for 400 dollars on Ebay. I did get to meet RVD and get my photo taken with him while holding one half of the World Tag Team Championship...

Galactus is funny. to me. It is amazing to see a pice of plastic that does nothing more than sit there go for 300+ dollars. I mean I could conceiveably take a Coke 2 litre, mount it on a plastic base, print out Galactus' dials from the net, and call it "Galactus".
I can see that it would be couul to have one, but, hey, it is just going to sit there, and I have too many toys that do that as it is.

Well, I wasn't planning on keeping it for myself. Would have wanted it to be one of those ones going for 400 bucks on Ebay.
RVD wasn't the only wrestler at the convention, actually. Virgil was there at a signing booth, and Kevin Nash was there promoting Punisher, but RVD was the one I met. I was kicking myself for not having the foresight to buy the SE Virgil card from the COTG store to get signed by Virgil though, cause that would be cool to have.
As far as conventions go though, Wizard World LA(which wasn't really in LA) was the coolest I've ever been to, save maybe for the Japan Expos they have at the LA Convention Center...those absolutely ROCK.

I just got the MLB sportsclix game. I love that as anything that simulates baseball is good. Plus you can field a decent team for cheap which fixes the downfalls of Mage Knight and Heroclix.

Has anybody else ordered the "Magneto as XORN" HeroClix figure from Wizard? I just paid my 10 bucks for one but the bad thing is you have to wait at least 5-6 months before it gets shipped to you. WHUZZUPWIDAT?

I just cleaned out my second bedroom in order to turn it into an office. As I was cleaning, I found my Heroclix collection. I don't have anyone here to play against (largely because I don't have the time), and I haven't played in two years.
If anyone wants to buy a box of about 100 clix, let me know. I've got Marvel and DC clix, including a Sentinel. E-mail me here or at ace1w@yahoo.com if you're interested.

Talk about rising from the dead! Man, this thread is old!
I haven't played or bought anything from the recent sets. Nobody really to interest me.
A couple of figs in the upcoming set are looking good. New Cap, War Machine, the Executioner. Not bad to have one or all of those.
Not a bad game but clunky and cluttered rules as well as retirement have turned off many, including me.

I bought quite a lot of Heroclix, but my fiancee, her son, and I tried playing it many times and found it to be boring. It just seemed to take too long. Actually, if anyone who plays is interested and wants some more figures, including some uniques and a Superman offered in Wizard magazine, contact me @ rpg1275@yahoo.com. I'm interested in getting rid of what I have.
