As per LWPD's request on cotg.proboards12.com/index.cgi?board=house&action=display&thread=1180029047&page=2,
I am posting the full text of the rules for using Strategy Cards here. It isn't feasible for me to post the text of the actual cards because there are way too many of them.
If anyone's interested in the rules and cards in PDF form, PM me an email address and I'll send them right out. The PDF for the rules also include a subset of charts that are used.
Legends of Wrestling: Strategy Cards
Summary
Strategy Cards take the place of a number of different advanced and supplementary rules in Legends of Wrestling. Instead of having to keep track of things such as the number of double-team maneuvers a tag-team has used or how many “(lv)” options an opponent has left, players use Strategy Cards and play them at any point during a match.
Strategy Cards also add a new dimension of strategy because players are presented with an ever-changing array of options with each Legends of Wrestling match.
No two matches ever play out the same.
Set-up
Shuffle the deck of Strategy Cards. At the start of a match, each wrestler or team will draw Strategy Cards from the Strategy Card deck. Use the charts below to determine the hand size for a wrestler or a tag-team at the start of the match.
Singles Match
If = Cards
…the match is curtain jerker = 0
…the match is in the middle of the card = 1
…the match is a special event = 2
…the match is a main event = 3
…a wrestler has a manager or valet at ringside = +1
…a wrestler is defending his title = +1
Tag-Team Match
If = Cards
…the match is curtain jerker = 0
…the match is in the middle of the card = 2
…the match is a special event or a main event = 4
…a team has a manager or valet at ringside = +1
Melee-Style Match (Battle Royal, Triple Threat, etc.)
In a match where 3+ combatants are in the ring at one time with no tag rules, each wrestler gets 1 card. A champion defending his title gets an additional card.
For melee-style matches, tag-team cards, such as “Heel Double Team”, can be used at the Promoter’s discretion.
Playing Strategy Cards
At the start of the match, each wrestler gets a hand of Strategy Cards. If the match is a tag-team match, then each tag-team shares a hand of Strategy Cards.
A wrestler may play any card from his or his tag-team’s hand at any time during the match as long as he has met the conditions of the Strategy Option being used.
For example, if the Strategy Option stipulates that it can only be used when a wrestler has 4 Fatigue or higher, then the wrestler cannot play that card if he has only accumulated 1 Fatigue.
Once a Strategy Card is played, that card is discarded from the player’s hand. If the card has any lasting effect, then it may be kept alongside the opponent’s Legends card to note the effects.
Any Strategy Cards left in a player’s hand at the end of a match are lost. It is possible that a player will have Strategy Cards for which he cannot meet the stipulations during the course of a match.
Discarding Strategy Cards
Instead of playing a Strategy Card, a player may discard a Strategy Card to bring certain effects into play. This is a great option for a player to use when he holds a card for which he will not be able to meet the stipulations.
For example, if a player holds a “Hot Tag” Strategy Card in a Singles match, then he should consider discarding it for one of the Discard options.
A player may discard a Strategy Card during a match and choose one of the following effects:
Streamlining Play with Strategy Cards
Strategy Cards eliminate much of the bookkeeping in a Legends of Wrestling game because the many different advanced and supplemental rules that a player used to have to keep track of are now handled by playing or discarding a Strategy Card.
The following Legends of Wrestling rules and play options are no longer needed when Strategy Cards are used.
The Strategy Cards also implement a number of supplemental rules. These include rules for Champion’s Advantage, being Busted Open during a match, attacking an opponent before the bell and rules for Hardcore style matches. The Strategy Cards also include cards that make disqualifications less frequent.
Customizing Play with Strategy Cards
Using the Strategy Cards in Legends of Wrestling should enhance gameplay, not detract from it.
Playing with the Strategy Cards allows a player to focus on the action in the match and not on the bookkeeping and tallying of double-teams, interference and whether or not a wrestler has enough Fatigue to be bloodied.
They also add variety to a match because a player’s hand will be different with every game. Even so, players should feel free to customize how Strategy Cards are used to fit with their own style of play.
Ways to customize Strategy Cards for a Legends of Wrestling promotion include creating new cards, removing cards from the deck or printing out extra sheets so that some cards are more prevalent in the game.
There is really no right or wrong way to use the cards as long as they make the game more enjoyable and keep those dice rolling.

For example, if a player holds a “Hot Tag” Strategy Card in a Singles match, then he should consider discarding it for one of the Discard options.
A player may discard a Strategy Card during a match and choose one of the following effects:
- “down – 3 (lv)” – When rolling a “down-3” result on Level 3 Defense, a player may discard a Strategy Card to have his wrestler leave the ring. A player may discard multiple cards at different times in the match to execute a number of “(lv)” options.
- Pin Save – In a tag match, a player may discard a Strategy Card to roll on the Pin Save chart when a tag partner is instructed to roll Pin.
- Double Team – In a tag match, a player may discard a Strategy Card to roll on the Double Team chart after a wrestler tags in his partner.
- One Free Kick-Out – (Singles Match Only) If a wrestler fails a Pin roll, the player may discard a Strategy Card to kick out of a Pin, ignoring the Pin roll results. The wrestler still takes Fatigue from the Pin attempt. This option can be used only once per match.
- Hair! Hair! – A player may discard a Strategy Card to have the referee break up an opponent’s hold. This is accomplished by the wrestler convincing the ref that the opponent grabbed his hair or tights. Usually only Heels take advantage of this option. The wrestler continues play by rolling on Level 1 Defense instead of rolling on the level of defense designated by the opponent’s hold.
- Succeed on a (ch) roll – A player may discard a Strategy Card to automatically succeed on any (ch) roll.
- Juiced – In a feud match, a player may discard a card at any point after he executes a cutting attack and his opponent has accumulated 3 or more Fatigue tokens. The opponent is now bleeding and his Agility can be no lower than -1 and his Deathjump is no better than "B" for the remainder of the match. This option is equivalent to playing a “Juiced Hardway” card, with the exception that this option cannot be exercised until the opponent has 3 or more Fatigue.
