Tonight my friend called me up and said he had an extra ticket to the TNA house show at the House of Blues in Dallas, TX so I got to go as a last second thing! Nice turnout, very rabid crowd, and a fun time.
Some notes-
Dixie Carter is SMOKING HOT.
Homicide and Christian both slapped my hand before their matches. Awesome.
LAX, Christian, Eric Young, and Samoa Joe were very over.
Awesome Kong is indeed awesome. She beat the crap out of Jackie haha.
Motor City Machine Guns continue to innovate on offense and had a sweet match with Kaz and Elix Skipper to start off the show. As my friend and I walked up to the building we saw all four guys through a window talking before their match. Sabin saw us an acknowledged us... he and Shelley are the bomb.
So Johnny Devine comes out with the TNA X-Division belt... but Lethal is the champion? Oh brother.
D-Lo Brown was in attendance and looked mean. He came over and slapped some hands, but there were no smiles on his face.
Booker T's family was in attendance and seemed pretty proud.
One of the Bussey's (from PCW in Arlington) was there and talked to my friend and I during intermission and as we walked off after the show. My friend Nick just found out that TLC will be using one of his songs on the show! Pretty sweet.
The TNA roster is so deep... if they had Gabe Sapolsky booking, they would be in much better shape.

Which Bussey? And was Lance Hoyt there, cause he's from the area. I don't remember his first name. He was blonde. Hoyt was there and we tried to start a PCW chant, but it wasn't happening. He actually cut an awesome promo about how he grew up in Texas and worked hard to buy a house. Then he started describing the house and we thought it was kind of retarded... and I was wondering why Jimmy Rave of all people was a face. But then Hoyt turned and said he bought the house in Orlando to get away from Texas and the crowd booed his head off. Pretty funny. I don't like the guy, though.

Cool. And the house in Orlando bit is funny because (and I know this is true) it seems to be so very easy to get tons of cheep heat in Texas by badmouthing the state. Even more than when heels do it in other places. Of course being origianlly from Alabama I am immune to that trick, but it can sure make for a hot crowd in some places.

Oh my yes. I remember a house show for Smackdown during the JBL vs. Eddie Gurerro feud a few years back were the only way Bradshaw could get heel heat was by getting on the mic and bad mouthing the Von Eric's.

Machine Guns are probably one of the real bright spots right now...I am digging them.

I'm going to Universal in Fla in October and want to get tix. I heard you jsut need to use your tix from the park to get in. Is this true? Do you need to buy tix ahead of time? Also anyone know when they do their tapings there?
