Does Bazzy mean by looks or by putting on entertaining wrestling matches?

I've gotta guess he means wrestling. Looks wise Ms. Brooks and Socal Val both look like their faces were flattened with a frying pan. Not that all the WWE Divas are hot, but Mickie James and Maria are quite lovely.

If he means wrestling, then I tend to agree.
If he means looks, then I definitely disagree.
Mickie James is, to me, the ideal. I think she's the best looking woman in all of wrestling, and one of the best actual wrestlers.

Here's my opinion about it. Gail Kim is awesome. So is Mickie James. They serve multiple purposes in the world of sports entertainment. They both look great, they both have good enough mic skills (moreso Mickie James) and they both are very skilled in the ring. Before Gail Kim left WWE I remember she had some very good skill with submission holds. (I think Finlay trained her - if so, it shows)
In sports entertainment, there's always room for Eye candy, and there's always room for impressive women wrestlers(Victoria, Awesome Kong, Big Momma from GLOW etc) however, women like Mickie James and Gail Kim are very hard to come by because they accomplish both, and IMO are the two best women in sports entertainment today.

Well said, and agreed all around. I wish there WERE more of them....instead we have a lot of Kelly Kellys, who look good but are abysmal in the ring and on the mic.

This topic cracks me up any time someone brings it up: the reason why a company would use eye candy types instead of putting in more of an effort to find good looking girls who can also wrestle is this:
NOBODY CARES.
The vast majority of people who drive the ratings are young males. The majority of them just don't give a damn if the girls can actually work a match. Here's how it has always broken down:
--hot girls, who can wrestle,...they watch --hot girls, who can't wrestle...they watch --plain looking girls who can westle...no one watches
I have no idea if TNA even has a "ratings strategy" but the WWE is pretty clear on theirs: they will do whatever they think generates the largest response from the fan. If it makes no difference whether or not a hot girl can wrestle, what is the impetus to go out and put girls who can actually work on TV?

Here comes I will start an debate/arguement . I say TNA divas just beat the WWE dives hands down . Honestly I mean it . Gail Kim / Awesome Kong \ O.D.B etc Gotta disagree with this 110%. Though I do go to TNA shows here in Orlando and fully support them as well as being on the street team. Gail Kim is very good. Awesome Kong is just a big big really big woman, TNA's female version of Big Daddy V. ODB, honestly is probably the most annoying female I have ever looked at. Everything about her, her look, in the ring, everything! I almost don't want to go to anymore TNA shows just because she will be there. IMO she is that bad. Looks wise, WWE has TNA beat again by a very large margin. Kim is pretty but not "hot" IMO, Kong is well Kong, and again ODB is blahhhhhhhhhhhhh. They do have Angelina Love who is HOT, especially in person. Before she started up, Karen Angle was their hottest "diva" which is pretty sad.Again, this is only my take on Bazzy's comment. Slymm Edit: Forgot about Hemme, she is mad hot, but Ms. Brooks is just not that appealing to me. And they also have Jackie, who again is a veteran wrestler/valet but far, very far from hot. Trish will forever be the hottest EVER.

I agree with Bazzy here. For wrestling, TNA is doing a much better job. WWE has a few women who can wrestle, but they spend half of their time in the ring with others who are awful.
For looks, I agree completely about Micki James. Maria is also very hot, and so are several others in the WWE. But so is Gail Kim, and I think Velvet Sky (Talia Madison) is the best looking woman on the show. Angelina Love is also good, Hemme is okay, so are Karen Angel and Sharmelle. I would agree with calling it about even there.

IMO, TNA's women's matches are FAR superior to the WWE's. The matches are actually watchable in TNA whereas the WWE womens matches just look sloppy and amateur at best.
The WWE women's division is simply there for eye candy. It, for the most part, lacks any real substance.
That being said, I'd much rather stare at WWE divas than TNA divas. But when it comes to actual wrestling ability, TNA's ladies win, hands down.

WWE Divas matches peaked with Trish and Lita. They need to go back to recruiting ATHLETES instead of trying to teach models how to wrestle.
I also believe that the Diva division took a turn for the worse when Finley gave up training them and returned to the ring.

Once again..WHO CARES???
It doesn't make a difference whether the divas can wrestle or not. Having the "best females" is like a football team saying they have the "best long-snapper." Why should the WWE put money and time into a division that doesn't generate ratings?
Has it helped TNA?
Didn't they actually get better ratings the first two years of the Diva Search?
And BTW..Lita is a f*cking awful wrestler. she's sloppy, has terrible timing, and is dangerous in the ring. She's like Jack Evans with a terrible boob job. If THAT is where the WWE Divas peaked, I'm glad they moved away from that.

This topic cracks me up any time someone brings it up: the reason why a company would use eye candy types instead of putting in more of an effort to find good looking girls who can also wrestle is this: NOBODY CARES. And therein lies the issue, as you claim that nobody cares about women who can actually wrestle. I will admit that they are a small minority, but some people DO care, and to dismiss their criticisms is basically saying that their opinions either don't matter or are wrong. Some people do prefer looking at women who can actually wrestle in the context of a PRO-WRESTLING promotion. And any talk of ratings is inherently flawed because unless you are a Nielsen family, then no one's opinions actually matter. There is a niche-market for women's wrestling, and to simply state that no one cares is demeaning to those that do in fact care, including the poster who thought this was a worthwhile topic for discussion. And it is both typical and sad that on a board devoted to a VERY NICHE-Oriented game such as COTG that one would dismiss the aesthetic choices of this niche-audience in such a way. Under your line of reasoning, I could say that COTG doesn't matter because in the larger culture, NOBODY CARES. (Which is obviously untrue.)
