Saw this on another board, and its absurdity is only eclipsed by the sadness I feel when listening to the TNA announcers ramble on and on during Impact.
And while it is true that most announcers in wrestling follow a script, talk about taking it to a new level. Ridiculous!

I saw this before and I stil find it funny. The editors backstage really screwed up on that one.

You know, Mike Tenany is actually not that bad. Its Don West that gets annoying. He sounds like a guy from the home shopping network that just snorted 10 lines.

Mike Tenay, WCW era, was one of the best announcers period. He'd be that great still if he settled the hell down. He's got great insight and can call a match, but when he's hollering and getting all worked up, it just doesn't work at all. He needs to take a page out of the great Gordon Solie's book and be low-key. Save the orgasms for Don West (and JR when Stone Cold comes out). |

Tenay gets on my nerves when he does that "I'm really pissed at you" squinty eye thing. It just makes it look like he's constipated and sucking on a lozenge.
Don West is horrible as an announcer IMO

I agree with Aquinus. When Teney was announcing for WCW he was like a quizmaster. You felt like you were actually learning something about wrestling and about a particular wrestler's history. He was very interesting back then.

I think the reason Tenay is not as good as he used to be is because he is too busy wiping West's a$$ after he craps himself when he gets all worked up.
