this is terrible...
this match does not have any kind of big time feel to it at all...
this is what's wrong with TNA...
the announcers are just vomitable...they bring nothing to the table...
that damn ring is a joke...
there are some decent wrestlers in that ring right now (and a couple piles of crap) and it looks like someone is recording it with a camcorder in someones basement...
maybe after the commercial it will get better...

Why? If something sucked as much as you seem to think TNA does, why the heck spend your time watching it? Becasue if the only reason you watch it is so you can come here and tell us all how much you think it sucks, I'm sure you could find better things to do with your time. Big Time

I am a wrestling fan, period. I watch TNA, but, I still have to agree with Swarm. Tonights show was an overpriced dramatization of what a main event should be. And, yes, the commercials actually were a little more entertaining. You know, since TNA's "Primetime" debut, they've had a handful of decent matches, but for the most part, from what I've seeen, they should have been moved to the 3 a.m. timeslot and reserved the primetime spot for reruns of CSI.....or maybe even Welcome Back Kotter

I'm not saying he shouldn't have an opinion or even that he shouldn't be able to voice it. My question is if someone has such a dang low opinion of something, why even bother with it? I mean I can't stand American Idol. I can't. I think it sucks worse than any wrestling show ever put on TV...and I'm counting GLOW! So I don't watch it. I don't want to hear what happens on it. And if it wasn't for the fact that they are promoted everywhere I wouldn't want to even be reminded of their existence. Swarm has an opinion of TNA that is that low or close to, so why even bother watching it? I love wrestling too, I watch anything I can. Does that mean I will also try to catch this new Nickelodeon show W.A.C.K. (a blatant rip-off of Kaiju Big Battel BTW)? No. Just because it's wrestling doesn't mean I automatically tune in. I don't care that he thinks TNA sucks, I just wonder why, if he's written them off, does he still watch it. That's all. Big Time

It's the same reason why people that can't stand Howard Stern, but still listen to him. They wanna know what he's gonna say or do next. Back in the day, I couldn't stand WCW, but I still watched it because some of the WWE stars that I like went there. Same reason I watch TNA, I might not care for the way they produce the show, but I still like some of the talent. It's just a shame that their talent is being wasted like it is.

If you are honestly curious why someone is posting than please save it for a PM. Lets try to keep these threads as 'on topic' as possible.
The show last night was basically Russo trying to recreate his Crash TV format with less time and less talented performers. Impact moves at a fast pace and VR did a better job of advertising the upcoming PPV than the previous format did...but as a viewer there's just not very much that comes across as compelling enough to buy.
LWPD (using this format in a 40 something minute block is tough because the percentage of 'shill to substance' is way out of whack...not that the alternative was any better)

I caught a little of Impact last night, and must agree it was a pretty bad show.
When watching the segment with VKM clowning The Marine , I thought about an interview I read with Jay-Z a couple weeks ago. In the interview Jay discussed the recent disses by Cam'ron on Cam's last album. Basically Cam clowned Jay for being ugly and questioned his legitimacy and manhood for being photographed in sandals and linen shorts.
Jay replied by telling the interviewer the picture had been taken on his yacht off the Atlantic coast. He then said, when Cam'ron get his own yacht, someone should ask him what type of clothes he would wear.
My point for bringing this up is to illustrate two things. TNA's status as a wrestling organization is very similar to that of Cam'ron. They are both haters. They are both far too preoccupied with someone else who is in a position that they could only dream of being in. They both only achieved sucess when the other was pushing them, by this I mean when Cam was on Jay's label and when washed up has-beens like Kurt Angle and Vince Russo were a part of the WWE.
It is beyond me why TNA management would let two has-been clowns like VKM do an entire segment about how bad the Marine sucked when it probably made more money in two weeks than TNA has made in it's entire existence. That isn't funny, cool or anything else. As I said, that is hating.

Last time I checked, he was dating Beyonce - one of the hottest women ever. Ever.

I'm not into the hip hop culture but Cam'ron's comments kind of sound like the old insults kids would say when they were 5-6 - "You're ugly and your momma dresses you funny." Jay-Z should have came back with "Sticks and stones will break my bones but words will never hurt me."

Funny as it is, Jay does actually say something about sticks and stones on his new CD.
And Beyonce is definitely clean. Ugly or not, it doesn't much matter when you pull chicks like that.

Look around every once and a while. "Ugly" dudes pull in good looking chicks all the time.
It's not always about looks..sometimes it's more about self confidence and the size of your bank account. ;D

It's not good...but it has the campy feel to it that makes it a guilty pleasure. But I would argue that TNA's production values are pretty decent, a heck of a lot better then that of Heymen's ECW in the 90's. And TNA does do things well..and their actual writiing isn't so bad, it's usually mostly in the execution where the angles seem to become idiotic.. Either way..I can't argue that TNA is trying to be more like WWE and it's hurting the product as a whole. They should of kept to doing what they did best, and try to create their own identity.

So it look like my waiting for Russo to push everything down the tubes is finally happening. Granted, it took a bit longer than I anticipated, but it HAD to happen sooner or later.

I predict Vince Russo will be able to add 2 sides to the TNA ring by 2008.
