I'd love to see the video...or at least an unedited transcript from today's Kurt Angle Conference Call. Kurt Angle TNA Conference Call tinyurl.com/yaagrwI made a few calls and had someone send me the audio...runs about 85 minutes...it's worth a listen. At first Kurt is articulate and comes off as relatively sincere....yet as time goes on he displays a great deal of arrogance, selfishness and at times appears outright delusional. From the way he talks I get the feeling his wife 'programmed' a lot of his sentiments.
LWPD (many of Kurt's critiques were very personal in nature...and at one point he even 'brags' about lying to VKM and using Vince's genuine concern about his state of mind and well being (along with Vince's attempts to speed wire Kurt any back dated revenue that was due to him) against him in order to gain a release...what a great guy :

Re: A-Train. Bernard is never going to get mistaken for Mitsuharu Misawa but he's a fine worker who's gotten some good matches out of guys like Yuji Nagata and Hiroshi Tanahashi, who are good hands but not much more. He was always a good worker in the WWF, too.
And keep in mind that pro wrestling as we know it came to Japan less than 10 years after the end of World War II. The idea of the heroic native Rikidozan chopping down the big, nasty gaijin was an appealing one for obvious reasons. (For the purposes of this post we're going to gently skip over the fact that Rikidozan wasn't a native, either...)
The successful foreigners in Japan all fall into two camps: monsters (Brody, Abby, Singh, Hansen, Andre) and extremely skilled technicians (Thesz, Brisco, Robinson, Benoit). A few guys like the Destroyer and Dr. Death would fall into both categories. I honestly can't think of any real exceptions to those two camps among the most notable gaijin...

Hey good for A-train, I'm happy for him...he's making an awesome living, and he's not on my TV...Tell me though, is he still a loud, boring, ape of equal parts hairy and greasy..? Cause those are honestly the only things I didn't like about him...
