Stacked bootlegs are where its at. There's nothing like using a guy with 4 finishers on lvl 3 off and 2 on lvl 2 offense. They're great for pissing off the BTBers. I' m guesing one look at Bane's card would make any BTBer cry. And btw, Tormentor is actually my remake of Bane. Tormentor is the leather mask wearing, chain weilding, 7'1" 500 pound freak with the DEAMON CLEANER finisher and post match attack chart. I'll have to dig em up.[/ In my fed Monolith would job to Wally the Slow @ss Postman and then suffer a post match beatdown by everyone's favorite pitchfork wirelding, burlap sack wearing madman Dogma. That's cool that you guys are partying and everything and having a good time, so I'm not trying to crash it... but this here, this is kind of crap that bothers me about bootlegs. OOOOOHH 6 Finishers on one card, woooooow, that's so creative... my dog could make that card. and I can only imagine the mental efforts that nearly cost you your life as your brain nearly exploded from having to dig deep inside your creative soul to come up with a "leather mask wearing, chain weilding, 7'1" 500 pound freak with the DEAMON CLEANER finisher"... wow. I' mean, how did you come up with that guy? Amazing! Very creative. Haven't seen 25,000 of those type of bootlegs before... No doubt that deserves 6 finishers and would for sure be the kind of guy that would kill the strongest character Tom ever created. Excellent. And for what's it's worth, if you and I were sitting together someone I would say the same thing to your face, and make fun of you because it's some of the stupidest s*** I ever heard, but afterward I would tell you it's just my opinion and buy you a beer. so don't get all upset about it.

It's amusing that so many people on here can be so sensitive about a wrestling show that they watch or a card that they may have created, but some of those same people have no problem taking a character that Tom has actually billed as his "greatest triumph" and tossing around the idea of random wrestlers of their own creation sodomizing and raping that character.
All in good fun, though.

Re: the Bootleg abuse: My point all along is that as long as he does it in his own backyard, and doesn't try to make it official (i.e. submitting results etc.) then whatever, it's all cool, it's all fun, it's alright... if DMK were submitting official results of 4 finisher guy stomping holes in everyone on the GWF roster, I'd have an issue...Such is not the case, so as I said, it's all in fun...Don't let it bother you... Edit: It's amusing that so many people on here can be so sensitive about a wrestling show that they watch or a card that they may have created, but some of those same people have no problem taking a character that Tom has actually billed as his "greatest triumph" and tossing around the idea of random wrestlers of their own creation sodomizing and raping that character. All in good fun, though. DMK said he would book it that way, not he did...I'm not trying to defend him or anything, but they weren't talking official or or even Fed Forum things...Just you know, kicking the ol' peanut around... DMK doesn't like Monolith...I think I know why, but it's not my place to say, so I won't...

News Regarding The "Major Announcement" At No Surrender
September 23rd, 2006 19:05 NEWS REGARDING THE MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT AT NO SURRENDER
TNA Wrestling has been flooded with call and emails in recent days concerning the “major announcement” set to take place at No Surrender on Sunday night exclusively on Pay-Per-View. The speculation has also been the buzz all week at the TNA offices.
What we do know is that only a select few TNA employees know what the announcement is. In addition, those same people were asked to sign confidentiality agreements, forbidding them to talk about the matter entirely.
There is no clear consensus among TNA employees as to what the true nature of the major announcement could be. However, many are sharing the same guesses as fans across the internet in recent days.
It is also not known how the announcement will be made on Sunday night. Rumor has it only TNA President Dixie Carter (who will be in attendance) along with two members of upper management will know when the announcement will occur during the show.
Whatever the announcement may be, it should be noted that the employees “in the know” are extremely excited about what we can all expect on Sunday night at “No Surrender”.
This really has me excited, Dixie Carter at the pay-per-view and people signing confidentiality agreements... this will be one HOT! night thats for sure, a can't miss pay-per-view for sure!

All in good fun, though. Great post, Joe. Bootlegs are great in my opinion. They give promoters an outlet for creativity and a chance for freedom to do whatever they want with their imagination. BUT these bootlegs will never be better than Tom's stuff; and there's no point in bragging about a strong bootleg... anyone can make a strong bootleg.

Hell, there are more than a few characters over the years that I have not gotten into for one reason or another. That's fine. That is personal preference, and that is going to vary from person to person. What I found wrong with the entire topic of conversation is that some of the people who were taking part in it are so ultra-sensitive about criticism they may receive, but they were very free about basically s---ing on one of Tom's favorite creations. Furthermore, they did so in a manner that was nasty as hell. I'm sure the reference to "reaming Monolith like a Thanksgiving turkey" does not fall with in those "family-friendly" guidelines I have heard discussed on here in the past.

My Turkey comment was purley injest to what others were saying about the character. Personally I love the Monolith character and when it comes to CotG I don't use bootlegs.

Funny...The comments in question came from DMK Ace and Chewey, and yet out of all that you choose Pittbull's comment while skillfully leaving out the important "Just don't know how some of the Monolith supporters are going to take the comments of Bootlegs and the like..." part...
Tsk tsk Joe...Time to get over it...

On the real, I couldn't remember who made the turkey comment. The reason I cited it was because it was the most memorable.
In my first post, I mentioned the sodomizing comment. I don't remember which one made that either, and frankly, I don't care.
The turkey comment just stuck out, kind of like the scene at the end of the movie "Do the Right Thing." A lot of people did a lot of things that led to the burning down of Sal's Famous, but what sticks out most is when Mookie threw the trash can through the front window.

I've had that problem in the past as well, remembering something someone said and then bringing it up only to learn that "Gee, I kinda took this out of context a bit..." Now I make it a habit to double check where it came from and what the intent was behind it...Not a bad habit to cover your bases... EDIT: Cool part I'll give you credit for though is starting your post with "On the real"...That's almost Whedon-speak...

I'm sure that if I ever get the chance to take you up on that offer, after a few beers (I almost surely buy a few rounds for anyone who buys me a beer), we can get DMK to light his head on fire and jump off some high balcony through a couple of tables... while Payback cracks a joke about how idiotic people become when they drink too much, lol. All in good fun.

You peple are waaaay too anal.
My Monolith comments were just that, comments. I probably woudn't book Monolith like that. I was just being foolish. It seems some of you guys feel the need to defend Tom at every turn as if any of us were personally attacking the man. God forbid somebody book one of Tom's guys different then how the official booklet says. Its at the point of ridiculousness.
I never said I disliked Monolith, and as I character, I don't feel one way or the other about him. I just found it funny that everyone was basically wetting themselves over the character the minute Tom announced him. And in a way, maybe the comments towards Monolith were a stab at the BTBers. Joe's a freakin troll comming on here and obsessing over every word I said as if I took the lord's name in vein while standing in a church addressing a church crowd.
COTG is GREAT hobby and a fun thing to do to get away from the crap that real life dishes out to you. But some of you take it waaay too seriously. And that goes a long way to ruining the community.
You know, maybe I might of took offense to Swarm's comments, but after he bought me a few beers I would of forgiven him. So alls well in that respect.
