Here's the crap thing about TNA: Joe is clearly the most over person on the roster right now, so what are they doing with him? He loses the #1 Contender match, reports are that Sting will go over Jarrett which will lead to a few months of JJ/Sting/Christian for the belt, and ( I'm not going to spoil anything) if you read the taping results he's been put into a three way mid-card feud and it still looks like a Steiner match to blow off their feud is down the road.
Just look ing at that post: tha'ts a lot of crap to have to deal with for a program that struggles to finish storylines. Samoe Joe may not get a title match on a PPV until the end of the year.

I totally agree with PH here....He will get the belt... but not for awhile, Future NWA champ , yes...near future , NO!

I'm hoping they don't do to Joe what they did with Raven. That is to say, delay his World Title victory until the fans lose all intrest in his pursuit. It’s times like this that I think TNA needs a secondary title besides the X-strap.

Joe doesn't need a secondary belt, though. In this promotion, with as over as he is right now, Joe needs to be THE MAN for TNA. Nothing less should be acceptable to any right thinking booker.
That, of course, eliminates TNA's current booking team.

That is, of course, a valid opinion but if there was a secondary title other then the X, it would open up a lot more narrative options for the bookers, give them a belt for non-X guys to feud over, and would provide a strap for fans to actually give a damn about during the periods when the world title reverts to it’s status as The Jeff Jarrett tribute belt. Joe could still “be the man” and be a secondary champion. Consider Rob Van Dam’s TV title reign in ECW.

They can barely complete storylines as it is. I don't think a secondary title solves any problems; they just don't have the time for it.

If they drop one pointless tag match or 7 man X-division spot fest from each PPV, then they'd have plenty of time for a TV or US title. As for their inability to finish storylines, the narrative of champion vs. challenger is so simple that it's hard for even TNA to mess it up. . . They do, of course. This is TNA were talking about. But they drop the ball on that kind of plot a lot less often then they do elsewhere.

I'm not saying another secondary title is the solution to TNA's problems, I just think it might help. That's all.

The main problem with TNA is not giving the younger guys some mic time.
I don't need to hear Road Dogg, Dudleys, Sting, JJ, or Raven talk anymore. They've said everything they can. Let the younger guys talk.
They also need to NOT have every guy on every iMPACT taping show. Noboday cares about Jay Lethal, yet every week, he's on the show. They need to put those guys in the dark matches and build, really build their feuds better with some more mic time.
I know people on this board are not huge "mic" guys, but as Sgt. Slaughter once said on a wrestling documentary, being on the mic is "about 70% of how you make your money."

I think its gonna be a while for Joe, and its already VERY close to the point for people to stop caring....
I would guess the Sting/JJ match will end either with JJ going over clean(the most likely, imo) then Christian turning on him later, or Christian helping JJ in reurn of a shot at the belt, or some such...with the moral being heel Christian feuding with Sting.
Either way, we're two or three PPVS away for Joe to get a chance, at least.
I agree with those who said there isn't enough TV time to have a secondary belt, but what if they had a regional belt or two, mostly for house shows? They could be used to give credibility, build feuds, etc with a quick highlight, rather than a whole match. Heck, they could even think about pushing some of the indy titles their workers wrestle in.. I'd think an indy fed might be willing to say, give Monty Brown a title run in exchange for mention on a tna show...

They need to give the title to Joe and thats that. Hanging it on JJ or Sting just makes me want to tune out. Sting just isnt cool anymore. Christian should turn Heel because thats the role he's best at. JJ should just..I dont know...go away. And I agree with the guy that brought up Jay Lethal...every week? I don't think we need to see him every week. And why the hell doesn't Homicide Wrestle? I've only recently started watching TNA so I don't know if he's hurt or what.

I like Joe, (alot ) but his streak need to come to end.... like Goldberg, it's getting old hash. I think that either Styles or Daniels need to pin Joe, cleanly sometime soon. The reason I say either one of them, is cause they helped build Joe to his status he holds today. (When he was pinning AJ and Daniels, they were the top dogs in the fed) But these long streaks of never getting beat can make certain wrestlers believe that they are unbeatable. (ala Goldberg and Bruno) I think it will help Joe's career if he lost a match or two occasionaly....
tkx again

It doesn't matter. TNA already F'd it up.
He's lost the X-Title twice now, and then he lost the biggest match of his career.
While they are trying to protect him by losing in multiple man matches, and keeping his "never been pinned or submitted" streak alive, all it's really doing is showing that he can't win the big ones.
Basically that he is a choke artist. No pun intended.
Basically he is the Detroit Red Wings of TNA, an analogy so filled with suck that it represents more combined suck than any two other things that totally suck in the known universe.
And he has titties.

Comparing Joe to the Red Wings Swarm?! Ouch.
At least the Red Wings have won the big won.
