I'm really excited about this weekends pay-per-view event from Total Nonstop Action! I watched ECW's ONS2 and that was a solid show, and so I know that TNA will step their game up on the 18th! The KotM Match will be one of the Highlights of the night, I still see Jarrett winning back the NWA World Title from Cage!

I'm not sure you can legally use the phrases "...TNA will step up their game..." and "...Jarret winning back the NWA World Title..." in the same topic...

I'm not sure you can legally use the phrases "...TNA will step up their game..." and "...Jarret winning back the NWA World Title..." in the same topic... True, true. Other than Lockdown, the other TNA PPVs this year have been just ok. Despite the stupid concept, Lockdown was very ggod. But looking at this card....KOTM will be an entertaining clusterF, and the tag title match should be good, but Joe wiol have to carry Steiner and Nash will need a major miracle for thie show as a whole to be considered really quality. Also, JJ winning the belt would definitely erase like 4 months worth of goodwill.

JJ winning the title would be the worst thing for the company.

I'm not lying when I say that if JJJ wins the belt back at KOTM, I will stop watching TNA.

For KOTM match = My head says Christian to retain it , but my heart says Sting to win it . Personally my favourite match is gonna be Steiner v Joe !

There are actually quite a few intriguing matches on this ppv. Hopefully it lives up to it. I guess the Philidelphia show did very well. It is getting rave reviews from all.

JJ winning the title would be the worst thing for the company. No, K-Kwickillings winning the NWA title would be the worst thing for the company! (well, that JMO)

And I really want to see what happens to Kevin Nash vs. Chris Saban. If they continue to have Kevin Nash bully the X Division and have Scott Steiner pie face Samoa Joe and get away with it, the clarion call of letting younger talent getting an opportunity will be silenced before the entire locker room. Seriously, this keeping of the older, established stars without them working hard to establish TNA as a unique brand is getting tiresome. I saw that same show back in the late 90's when it was called WCW.
And if that continues to happen, a lot of the younger guys will jump ship at the end of their contracts to a company that will give them an opportunity. And at this point, both Smackdown and ECW would be willing to take a chance on some younger talent. The direction this company takes with this PPV will tell volumes.

It';s really saying something about TNA when the WWE is seen as a bastion for young talent in comparison.

While I don't agree with you 100%...this is a great post. TNA has to be very careful to have a balance between building new stars and drawing fan interest with 'name' guys. I have no faith in JJJ doing the right thing over the long run, and little in Nash, but I think a guy like Sting is there for the right reasons (money included).

If anything I could see them putting the title on Sting only to help put Samoa Joe over at the next PPV and establish him as World Champion and what better guy to put you over than Sting? Besides Sting was all for helping the company and its up and coming stars. This could be the beginning! Also I think Steiner will put on a great match because he is in the ring with Joe. Joe will make Steiner look good and vice versa but more so the latter.

Slammiversary is right around the corner and I'am really excited to see this event. But, first we have iMPACT! tonight which in my view will be a very excellent show leading into the pay-per-view. First, the new face of management will be interesting... I'm hoping we will see a nice suprise from this event. Second, the Bingo Hall Brawl between Team 3D and the James Gang will be a solid tag team match. I know that we'll see Team 3D win the match, but it would be a good twist if the James Gang won instead. Third, the Handi-Cap Match with Roode and D'Amore versus Rhino... you know D'Amore will be running from Rhino when he gets every chance. Fourth, Kevin Nash versus Chris Sabin... I really like this match and this could be one of the best matches of night no matter what Nash's abilities are these days and how much Sabin carries it, this is a storyline none the less. Fifth, Samoa Joe versus Steiner... I just have to say Joe's Gonna Kill You! Sixth, the main event will be the highlight of the night... I've never seen a KotM Match and this is for all the marbles. In the end Slammiversary will be a full action and I know TNA will deliver a excellent show this Sunday!

Ok, so I was watching iMPACT! just now and when I saw Raven, 2 things kept going through my mind:
1. Raven looks like what would happen if Mosh actually ate the Headbanger. This dude looks crazy out of shape and over the hill.
2. Why the hell is Raven wrestling in a skirt?
I used to really like this guy and it's sad to see what's become of him.

Gotta agree Gate, Raven really does look like crap. I don't know if it's just age, drugs/alcohol, or what. But he's like 44 now and really doesn't have it anylonger. He should be putting over young guys, no doubt. But, if he wanted to show up in Legends...I'd be happy with that as well...

Raven has a thyroid problem that has caused him to gain a great deal of weight. I am sure that someone on here knows something about thyroid problems. Dead Ringer maybe?? I know of quite a few people that have thyroid issues and it can cause quite a deal of problems with your health. Weight gain is one of the side effects. From what I understand there is not a whole ton you can do about it. There is of course diet and excercise but the thyroid (hyper or hypo) can cause you to fatigue pretty easily which will not allow you to get the good work outs that you would need. Add that to the weight gain that is already a side effect and you get a good reason that Raven looks the way he does. I would love Raven in LOW. He is probably one of my top 10 choices.
