Bobby Roode beats Rhyno at Sacrifice PPV . Yet he is not even considered for King of the Mountain qualifiers . It seems to be just the same old ones time after time going for the belt . Okay I know its Bobby Roode & Demoore v Rhyno re-match at Slammiversary PPV . Christian v Bobby would of been something different ? .

It might just be me, but I don't think they see him as Main Event material just yet.

Roode is still in the process of being built up to that level. I would not be surprised to see him competing on the top level at this time next year. It takes time. It took time for Cena, Batista, and Orton to get to that level. And some never quite make it that high. Roode hasn't had enough time away from Team Canada. He needs to kind of separate himself from just being another member of Team Canada. He can still be a member but be a separate character. Kinda like the 4 Horsemen where they were a unit but each member had their own individual character and personality. That is what Team Canada needs to become. They are on their way but it takes time.

Pretty much spot on. He hasn't been given any kind of singles push. So a spot in the main event at a PPV would be premature.

Plus, he's just getting into his "Ravishing Bobby Rude" look, which i think works for him...

In his defense, if he were in the King of the Mountain match, it's not like he would be carrying the PPV by himself.
That said, yeah, Roode seems like he's being groomed...best not to rush things.

I really like the new look. The robe is a nice touch, and it helps to set him apart and give him a unique look among the rest of Team Canada. I'd love to see him on his own to see what he could do, and hopefully that will come after he's had some time to establish more character.

...because nobody knows who he is! He is way down on the TNA pecking order, isn't even the feature guy from Team Canada (though that might change). Beating Rhino is a first step to establishing himself. Wins over Monty and Abyss down the road will help even more...and then come the big names. He won't be NWA Champion for a long time...

At the moment, the only people standing out in Team Canada are Roode and Young, Roode because of his singles push and Young because of his awesome character.
There's never been anything special about A-1, Johnny Devine is too erratic and Petey Williams hasn't been given anything to do since they took the X Division title off of him.
Roode's the only guy in Team Canada that's still allowed to win a match.

I don't disagree with you Tommy but I do think that A-1 has some definite potential. And it is really unfortunate that Petey hasn't done a thing since his title run. I don't see Devine ever doing much of anything and Young will probably never be much more than a comedy act with maybe a tag title run in his future. Not that that is a bad thing but that is just how I see it.

Well, Young can be great if paired with a partner again (he and Roode were awesome together)...in fact, that's probably what I'd do with A-1...make him the muscle in a team with Eric Young.

Like I said I have nothing against Young and I find him quite funny but he probably wont move beyond that which to me would be just fine. It is always good to have some comedy around and he does so well with it.

Similarly, it's always great to find good roleplayers who'll throw their all into that niche. I doubt Eric Young would ever complain about being a comedy act/tag specialist.
Which is what TNA needs...roleplayers who'll embrace their niche...and bookers who can recognize which pieces go where.

Exactly. You can't have everyone gunning for the main event.

Personally out of all of Team Canada, Petey is still my favorite...His antics in the ring, I feel make better television than Young's (in or out)...He's just great to watch...

I love Petey too. I love the Canadian Destroyer believable or not and I love the OOOOHHH Canada!!! It is funny every time. He should be at the top of the X-Division not guys like Sonjay Dutt.

In his defense though, I'd rather not see Petey killed by Joe thanks...

I could see A1 or even Bobby Roode as a Scott Norton type...he was the 'vicious' of Vicious and Delicious...and was also the muscle of nWo...and in Japan, he has become one of the great imports of all time by working a very stiff, punishing style.
Petey was in the finals of the World X Cup with Sabin...and I thought that match has a lot of springboard potential...I'd give TNA a couple more weeks to 'follow up' on that...
I like your idea about the Young/A1 tag team Tommy...the Canadian Brainbusters?

Ew..I always hated that name. Arn & Tully never needed to be called anything except Arn & Tully.
But that would be a great tag team.
