Due to the extremely large size of the roster the NWA has decided to divide into 3 territories in the United States. The AWA, ECW and Mid-South were put under the management of Vern Gagne, Paul Heyman and Bill Watts.
ECW is the smallest of the 3 territories. It has a very devoted group of fans but the company lacks the finances of the other territories and therefore has a smaller roster and a weaker spot on tv.
ECW does differ from the other feds as DQs and count outs don't exist in the company. This helped them attract several names who either have illegal moves or who prefer brawling.
The ECW Roster:
Jimmy Snuka Bruiser Brody Don Muraco Killer Kowalski - LE card Butcher Vachon Mad Dog Vachon Buff Bagwell Konnan Justin Credible Ox Baker the Sandman Cousin Luke Steve Corino the Terrible Turk Yukon Eric Dan Severn the Missing Link Danny Doring the Boogie Woogie Man Jimmy Valiant Sabu Chris Candido w/ Tammy Koko B. Ware the Sheik Hacksaw Jim Duggan Bob Armstrong Brad Armstrong Buddy Rose
The ECW belts:
ECW Heavyweight Title ECW Tag Team Titles ECW Television Title

So the plan is to post a show every Sunday night for this. I will probably start threads for the other territories as it starts. Just to keep the storylines clear and to give the feeling of a territory system.
The shows will feature 4 matches a week. They will usually be between name talent but there will be a squash match here and there.

ECW Wrestling Show #1 - 1/8/06
Steve Corino d. Cousin Luke w/ a powerslam Luke got in a few moves early but Corino got control and quickly finishes him off with the powerslam.
Jimmy Snuka was interviewed backstage. When asked about why he came to ECW he said it was simple. He came to ECW because it's where Don Muraco is. His only goal in wrestling at the moment is to end Muraco's career.
Justin Credible d. Ox Baker w/ That's Incredible Ox Baker dominated 90% of the match with power moves and brawling on the outside. Had this been in any other fed he would've been DQed or counted out. Baker missed a turnbuckle charge and Credible got a two count and then finished him off with That's Incredible. Quite an upset in the eyes of the fans.
The Vachons were interviewed. Many were surprised by their choice to work in ECW. Mad Dog Vachon said they wanted a place where there was violence and gore and Heyman promised it to them.
the Vachons d. Buff Bagwell and Konnan w/ the Piledriver Konnan started off hot and almost put Butcher away in record time but Mad Dog was tagged in and he mauled Bagwell until he ended the match with his Piledriver.
The Sandman came down to ringside with a mic. Just as he was about to start talking the Terrible Turk comes out of the crowd and attacks. The Turk choked the Sandman out before leaving the ring. Due to the rules security wasn't allowed to make the save for Sandman unless there was a real danger of him being killed.
Main Event Time:
Don Muraco eliminated Bruiser Brody w/ the Hawaiian Hammer Snuka and Brody started the match off. Lots of brawling on the outside. Snuka dominated most of the exchange and then surprised a lot of fans by tagging Muraco in. Muraco made short work of Brody.
Don Muraco eliminated Jimmy Snuka w/ a neckbreaker Snuka looked to take this one but Muraco through some miracle survived the Superfly Leap and then fought back to eliminate Snuka.
Don Muraco eliminated Killer Kowalski w/ the Asiatic Spike to win the ECW Heavyweight Title Kowalski took advantage of the worn down Muraco but couldn't put the match away. Muraco dodged a move off the top rope and is the new ECW Heavyweight Champion.
After the match Paul Heyman presents Muraco with the belt. Snuka climbs into the ring and grabs the belt and then levels Muraco with it. Snuka caps the evening off by hitting a nasty Superfly Leap on the fallen champ.
Next week:
the Sandman vs. the Terrible Turk - main event the Boogie Woogie Man vs. Danny Doring Koko B. Ware vs. Chris Candido Dan Severn will also be in action

ECW Wrestling Show #2 1/15/06:
Don Muraco and Jimmy Snuka brawl to ringside to start the show. In the ring Snuka hits a piledriver and climbs to the top rope. He goes for the Superfly Leap but Muraco manages to nail him with the belt.
Dan Severn d. Green Dragon w/ the Wakigatame Severn showed off a variety of submission holds before finishing the match off. Many wonder how a technical marvel like Severn ended up choosing ECW.
Paul Heyman comes out and announces that next week there will be a tag team gauntlet for the ECW Tag Team Titles.
Chris Candido d. Koko B. Ware w/ the Blonde Bomb Back and forth action for most of the match. Tammy tripped up Koko and it allowed Candido to pull off a win.
Hacksaw Jim Duggan comes out for an interview. He likes a good brawl so he decided that ECW would be a fun place to work for.
Danny Doring d. the Boogie Woogie Man w/ a roll up Valiant headed to the top rope really quickly in the match and hit a cross body block but Doring rolled through and got the pin with a handful of tights.
After the match Valiant argues with the ref over the count. After failing to get the decision changed he applies the Sleeper to the celebrating Doring.
Main Event: the Terrible Turk d. the Sandman w/ a camel backbreaker The Sandman tried his hardcore tactics and even hit the Hardcore DDT at one point but the Turk used his superior grappling to pound away at the Sandman and finally got the win.
The Terrible Turk applies the Stranglehold and the show fades to black with a close up of the Sandman being choked out.
Next Week:
Don Muraco and Killer Kowalski vs. Bruiser Brody and Jimmy Snuka - Main Event the Vachons vs. the Armstrongs vs. Candido and Credible vs. Bagwell and Konnan - Gauntlet for the ECW Tag Team Titles Hacksaw Jim Duggan vs. Ox Baker Sabu vs. Cousin Luke

Buddy Rose comes to the ring. He rips into the fans for being blood thirsty mutants. He's going to show everyone in ECW what real wrestling is all about.
Hacksaw Jim Duggan d. Ox Baker w/ the Flying Spear This was a wild brawl that went all over the arena. Duggan managed to avoid the Heart Punch and finished off Baker with 2 Flying Spears. ***
After the match Baker catches Duggan with a clothesline and then hits the Heart Punch.
Tag Team Gauntlet for the ECW Tag Team Titles
Buff Bagwell and Konnan d. the Vachons w/ the Tequila Sunrise Bagwell and Konnan used excellent team work and wore the Vachons down until Konnan could secure the submission. *3/4
Buff Bagwell and Konnan d. the Armstrongs w/ the Tequila Sunrise Brad Armstrong gave Konnan and Bagwell fits with his superior speed. Bob tagged in but got pounded. Brad came back in but got caught with a neckbreaker from Bagwell and finished off with the Tequila Sunrise from Konnan. **
Chris Candido and Justin Credible d. Buff Bagwell and Konnan w/ the Singapore Cane to win the ECW Tag Team Titles It looked like Bagwell and Konnan were on their way to gold early on. Candido missed two Blonde Bombs and it almost cost his team. Credible tagged in and fought tooth and nail with Bagwell. Credible hit That's Incredible and due to Bagwell being worn down in earlier matches was finished off with a Singapore Cane shot. **3/4
Danny Doring is backstage for an interview. He wants a rematch with the Boogie Woogie Man at some point. He wants payback for last week's cheap shot.

ECW Wrestling Show #5 2/5/06:
Champion Roll Call:
ECW Heavyweight Champion: Don Muraco ECW Tag Team Champions: Chris Candido and Justin Credible ECW Television Champion: Bob Armstrong
Host is Joey Styles
Paul Heyman comes out to the ring. He announces that ECW has fallen on hard times financially. He just doesn't have the money to keep the promotion going. So he's had to sell ECW to an outside investor. They'll be sending out a spokesman later.
the Sheik and Sabu d. Cousin Luke and S.D. Jones w/ the Fireball Luke almost got a quick pin on Sabu to start things off. The Sheik came in and made short work of Luke before injuring him with the Fireball. What a devestating move the Fireball has become now that it's legal. DUD
Backstage: Buddy Rose and Danny Doring complain about the lack of rules and all of the cheating going on in ECW.
Dan Severn d. Johnny Heart w/ a choke sleeper Severn sent Heart into the ropes and caught him with the choke sleeper for the win. DUD
Steve Corino comes to the ring. He announces that he's the spokesman for the outside investor. His job is to carry out the wishes of this man and to get ECW into the black. He has also been ordered to hire some assistants and introduces Ox Baker as his first hire. The first order of business is next week Bob Armstrong will defend the Television Title against Steve Corino. The second order of business is Paul Heyman. It would be bad PR so he's hiring Heyman as the color commentator. That is all he has for now.
Yukon Eric d. the Terrible Turk w/ a running tackle The Turk just couldn't seem to get anything going in this match. Everytime he gained an advantage it seemed like Eric would just overpower him and go back on offense. Eric had trouble putting the Turk away but eventually wore him down to the point of gaining the pin. **3/4
The Terrible Turk goes for the Stranglehold on Yukon Eric but the Sandman runs out and nails him with the Singapore Cane.
ECW Heavyweight Title Match: Don Muraco (c) d. Jimmy Snuka w/ the Asiatic Spike to retain the title Muraco missed a corner charge and Snuka responded by missing the Superfly Leap. Don Muraco grabs a mic. He just wants Snuka to know that before their match he had a little conversation with Steve Corino. Corino has assured him that Jimmy Snuka will never get another title shot.
Next Week:
ECW Television Title Match: Bob Armstrong (c) vs. Steve Corino Bruiser Brody vs. Buddy Rose the Sandman vs. Chris Candido the Boogie Woogie Man vs. the Missing Link Steve Corino will talk about what the outside investor has planned for ECW and might also hire more assistants.

The Missing Link almost ended things after some vicious chair shots. Valiant somehow managed to survive and put the Missing Link to sleep with the Sleeper. ** Steve Corino enters the ring for a promo. He names his group Investors Inc. and introduces Buff Bagwell and Konnan as the newest members. Don Muraco is not a member of their group but he will go out of his way to insure that their champion gets the best opponents possible. the Sandman d. Chris Candido w/ a cross body block Back and forth match here that could've gone either way. Sandman finally caught Candido and got the win. **1/2 After the match Justin Credible nails the Sandman with a singapore cane. It's a two on one beatdown until Steve Corino comes out. He announces that next week it'll be Candido and Credible defending the tag titles against the Sandman and a partner of his choice. Bruiser Brody d. Buddy Rose w/ the Jumping Knee Drop It should be noted that Rose refused to do anything hardcore in this match. He was presented with several chances to brawl on the outside and to use a chair and refused every time to the annoyance of the crowd. Rose had the upper hand for most of the match but Brody gained control with his brawling. Danny Doring tried to interfere but Brody tossed him to the outside and then hit the Jumping Knee Drop for the win. *1/2 Brody grabs the house mic. He challenges Don Muraco for the ECW Title. His reaction made many wonder if the lottery was rigged. Severn domianted the early half as he was just too strong for Corino. Corino caught him with a superkick. Corino wore Severn down with a chair and then hit the Old School Expulsion to earn what in my opinion is an upset victory. **1/2
