Results from the Showboat in Las Vegas, NV
Antonio Inoki beat Dan Severn via pinfall when Severn missed a flying body press off the ropes (previously recorded from Japan)
The Destroyer beat Ivan Koloff (w/ Nikita Breznikov) via disqualification when Koloff bludgeoned Destroyer with his chain
Harker Dirge put Justin Credible to sleep with the Dirt Nap
The Fabulous Freebirds defeated The Heartthrobs (Greg Valentine & Buddy Rose w/ Sherri Martel) when Hayes pinned Rose after the Bulldog
Bruiser Brody successfully defended the United States Title against the Masked Superstar via the Jumping Knee Drop
The Road Warriors successfully defended the World Tag Team Titles in a very close match against the debuting Double Axe Attack (Larry & Curt Hennig). The Hennigs gave the Warriors their toughest challenge to date and came within an inch of taking the gold, but in the end one Doomsday Device on Curt and the Warriors retain.
Nick Bockwinkel (w/ Bobby Heenan) successfully defended the World Heavyweight Title against Jerry "The King" Lawler in a rematch stemming from their meeting in Memphis a couple weeks back. Lawler took the Champ to the edge and almost took the title, but a well timed distraction from Heenan and a low blow by Bockwinkel changed the tide and the Champ gets the win via the Bockwinkel Sleeper.
