Joey Styles: I'm your host Joey Styles and welcome to Smackdown's presentation of Judgment Day. Let's go straight to the ring where Diamond Dallas Page's Money in the Bank briefcase is already hanging above the ring for our opening matchup.
Match #1: Diamond Dallas Page vs Mr. Canada in a ladder match for DDP's Money in the Bank briefcase.
note: Billy "Red" Lyons is Mr. Canada
Before this match started, ring announcer Gary Michael Cappetta started to introduce Mr. Canada who got annoyed and grabbed the microphone out of Cappetta's hands.
Mr. Canada: "That's a crappy introduction given by somebody wearing a crappy suit. Now shut you rmouth and listen up Gary Michael Cappetta so I can show you how to do your job properly."
Mr. Canada: "I weigh in tonight at 6'2" and 232 lbs of steel.
I hail from Nova Scotia, Canada.
My name is Mrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Canadaaaaaaaaaaaa!
Canadaaaaaaaaaa!"
Mr. Canada then continued to verbally berate Cappetta which allowed DDP to sneak into the ring and nail him with a swinging neckbreaker to get this opening ladder match started. Despite DDP's quick start, Mr. Canada was able to counter and take control of this match. Several times Mr. Canada tried to climb the ladder toward the briefcase but each time DDP was able to grab him or push the ladder over. Finally. Mr. Canada intertwined DDP's legs through the rungs of the ladder and then applied his finishing FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK. With DDP now unable to stand, Mr. Canada then climbed up the ladder to grab the Money in the Bank briefcase and win the match.
Joey Styles: "Oh my god! Mr. Canada is now the possessor of the Money in the Bank briefcase which allows him to challenge for either the MLW Championship or the World Championship at any time of his choosing!"
While still standing on top of the ladder and as trainers and EMTs arrived to help an injured DDP to the back, Mr. Canada grabbed the microphone and announced to the crowd:
"Mr. Money in the Bank is now Mrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Canadaaaaaaaaaa! Canadaaaaaaaa!"
Winner: Mr. Canada. 3 stars
Match #2: Dan Severn vs Rick Rude
Rude looked great by dominating most of the action in this match and won via his RUDE AWAKENING.
Winner: Rick Rude 1 1/2 stars
Match #3: Giant Baba and Antonio Inoki vs Ivan Koloff and the Terrible Turk vs the Armstrongs vs Boogie Woogie Man and Johnny Valiant vs Operation: Pimp vs the Barroom Heroes in a tag team turmoil match for the vacant United States Tag Team Championship.
note: Operation: Pimp = Hardcore (Danny) Hodge and Steve Corino
note: Barroom Heroes= Sandman and Justin Credible
The first two teams randomly selected to enter this match were the Barroom Heroes and the Armstrongs.
First Fall: Armstrongs defeated the Barroom Heroes by DQ when the referee caught the Sandman using his SINGAPORE CANE on Brad Armstrong. The next team to enter this match- Operation: Pimp.
Second Fall: Armstrongs defeated Operation: Pimp by DQ when the referee caught Corino using a ringside weapon on Brad Armstrong. The next team to enter this match- Boogie Woogie Man and Johnny Valiant.
Third Fall: The Armstrongs defeated Boogie Woogie Man and Johnny Valiant. This fall ended when the Boogie Woogie Man threw "the Bullet" into the ropes and went for a back body drop only for "the Bullet" to grab and give the Boogie Woogie Man an awesome piledriver followed by his SLEEPER for the victory. The Armstrongs advance once again. The next team to enter this match- Giant Baba and Antonio Inoki.
Fourth Fall: Giant Baba and Antonio Inoki defeated the Armstrongs. The Armstrongs fought hard but looked too tired after winning the first 3 falls of this match. The end came when Baba pinned Brad Armstrong via NECKBREAKER DROP. The next and final team to enter this match- Ivan Koloff and the Terrible Turk.
Fifth and Final Fall: Ivan Koloff and the Terrible Turk defeated Giant Baba and Antonio Inoki. Baba and Inoki controlled most of this match but Koloff got away with smashing his chain against Baba and followed with a leg drop to go for the victory. Baba managed to kick out, but Koloff immediately hit him with a top rope knee drop and this time got the 3 count to end this match and win the vacant United States Tag Team Championship.
Styles: "Oh no! The fiercely anti-US Ivan Koloff and his lackey the Terrible Turk are the new United States Tag Team Champions thanks to Koloff getting away with using his steel chain against Giant Baba."
Winner: Ivan Koloff and the Terrible Turk. Koloff and the Turk are the new United States Tag Team Champions. 3 1/2 stars
End of First Third of the PPV. Second Third will be posted later on Sunday and will include Greg Valentine vs Johnny Valentine, Bruiser Brody vs Steve "Dr. Death" Williams in a steel chain match, and Savage-T finally getting his chance to wrestle the Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase!
Dark Match: Bob Orton Sr and Dirty Dick Hutton defeated Harker Dirge and George South when Orton Sr pinned Dirge via a PILEDRIVER.
