Bladeflyer,
Is that the incident where Piper said he was going to play the Mexican national anthem on his bagpipes but instead played "La Cucaracha?"
I remember reading something about that in Piper's book "In the Pit with Piper" a few years ago.

Yep, that's the incident. I wanted someone with Piper's attitude in my fed, and after reading about the Yukon Eric, incident, I figured Kowalski would be perfect for it.
Take care,
Jay

SAGA
12-05
Clips were shown from the event in England and with GM Shon Maxx announcing that Killer Kowalski would defend his Heavyweight Title against Giant Baba at Season of Death on December 27.
1. The Beautiful People defeated The Samoans when Gorgeous George pinned Samu after a roll-up while pulling the tights. This match went back and forth, and both sides gained some near wins.
2. Ed “Strangler” Lewis defeated George South by submission to the Strangler's Headlock.
Ultimate Champion Dan “The Beast” Severn walked to the ring.
Severn: “Sandman, I attacked you last week for a single reason. At Fright Night, you eliminated me from the Blood Rumble, not cleanly, but with your stupid stick. But I don't make excuses or cry. I get even, and I did just that. But if you think I was unfair, I invite you to bring your pathetically tiny stick with you, and I know how that sounds, to Season of Death. I'll put the Ultimate Title on the line if you can take it from me.”
Sandman walked out, beer in hand.
Sandman: “I'm taking you up on your challenge, and I'm taking your belt, then I'm bringing it back as the XTC Title that you stole from Corino!”
Severn: “I only hope you won't be too drunk at the event. I want you to remember how I broke every one of your bones.”
Sandman lunged forward, and the two had to be separated by security.
3. The Terrible Turk defeated Cousin Luke by count out after slamming him onto the concrete.
4. Jushin Liger pinned Savage T after a Shooting Star Press.
Clips were shown from England, when Diamond Dallas Page, Road Dog, and Billy Gunn triple-teamed and injured Ric Rude.
The 3 heroes walked out, Page dressed as Dibiase, RD dressed as Rude, and Gunn dressed as Hennig.
RD: “Here I am, ladies, Dick Dude, in all my glory. Keep your jaws up while I take my robe off and show you just what you're missing. (removes his robe, revealing a thong). This is how it should ladies, don't you think so, Destitute Man?”
Page: “Sorry, Dick, I'm too busy trying to figure out how to get my money back. I spent it all trying to get the women to go out with you. Now I'm broke.”
Gunn: “Well, lucky for us, I'm the hero of the group. I'm Mr. Flawless, and if you don't believe me, just watch the U-Tron!”
The U-Tron lit up, showing Gunn, as Mr. Flawless, throwing a football from one side of the field, while RD, standing on a crane, tossed it through the goal post on the other side. Then it showed Gunn hitting a golf ball, while RD dropped a second ball right into the hole. The two then shouted, 'Hole in one! Hole in one!”
The show was interrupted when Liknin Park's Faint began playing and GM Shon Maxx walked out.
Shon: “Very funny guys, no really, I liked it. However, I still have a job to do. At our show in England, the three of you left Ric Rude in pretty bad shape, and he'll be out for a few weeks. Sorry, but nothing he did gave you reason to leave him that injured. So here's my decision, since Rude will be back in time for Season of Death, then the 6 of you will have a rematch then. And this time, I'm putting your Tag Team Belts on the line. That's right, if any of you 3 get beaten, they get the belts. It's not fair, but neither was jumping him 3 on 1.”
RD: “Well maybe he liked having 3 guys-”
Shon: “Hey, don't go there. Now it's still a regular match, so if any of you win, you keep the belts.”
Page: “Fair enough.”
Shon: “Oh and one more thing, since Rude is out until Season of Death, then all 3 of you are, until that night, suspended without pay.”
RD: “Oh, come on, Shon. I thought you had a sense of humor.”
Shon: “You know what, you're right. I do have a sense of humor, and I did laugh at you skit. Tell you what, I'll give you a choice, suspension without pay or you can go to my office right now and watch Hulk Hogan's DVD from beginning to-”
All 3: “Suspension!”
Shon: “Well don't say I didn't give you a choice.”
5. The Destroyer defeated Tiger Mask when Jushin Liger interfered.
After the match, Destroyer complained that the only reason he lost his Regional Belt to Bruiser Brody was that his manager, Wild Red Berry, was busy tending to an injured Mountie (a bystander when Severn attacked Sandman), and his mind wasn't completely in the match. He promised things would be different in their rematch.
6. Ted Dibiase pinned Danny Hodge after a powerslam.
7. Yukon Eric pinned Ox Baker in a Hardcore Match. Ox went for a clothesline while Eric went for a tackle, but the 2 collided. Eric rolled on top of Ox and got the pin. After the match, Ox chased Eric to the back.
8. Frank Gotch made Richard Hutton submit to the Gotch Toehold.
After the match, Gotch left and Hutton walked to the back past Pepper Gomez.
Hutton: “Hey, Pepper, why weren't you there for me? (Gomez ignores him.) Hey, amigo-”
Gomez: “No, I'm not your amigo anymore. You used me to help you get revenge against Kowalski, and all I got was hurt. Where were you then, 'amigo?' We are done.”
Hutton: “Don't you dare turn your back on me, Pepper. Where I come from, there's a saying, 'You're either with me or against me.'”
Gomez: “Well where I come from, there's a saying too, 'Chingate!'”
Hutton lunged forward, but security was already there to break up the two.

8. Giant Baba + Headstalker defeated Killer Kowalski + Kylla Cabal when Baba pinned Cabal after a Neckbreaker Drop.
Kowalski: “Baba, you won this little skirmish, but we've got a war shortly. I hope you're ready because I'm not quite ready to give up my belt yet.”
Street Reaper: “Kowalski, it has been six months since Baba lost the title, to the entire federation, I should ask. He has been undefeated since then, and he has only a single hurtle left...to defeat you. And he shall not fail (looks right at Baba), he shall not fail...”

SAGA Presents:
Season of Death
December 29
In Asheville, NC
1. Tag Team Titles on the line: Diamond Dallas Page + Champions New Age Outlaws vs. Ted Dibiase + Perfectly Ravishing.
The faces triple-teamed a recently-recovered Ric Rude (try saying that...nevermind) for the first few minutes. Dibiase then tagged in and cleaned house. At this, the fans seemed to shift in favor of Bobby Heenan's team. Curt Hennig and Billy Gunn exchanged moves and counter moves, and Hennig and Rude double-teamed Gunn, hitting a double spike piledriver. Road Dog broke the count, but Rude made a secret tag to Dibiase, who shocked Road Dog with a powerslam and pin.
Winners: Dibiase + Perfectly Ravishing. (By Match Rules, Rude + Hennig are now the Tag Team Champions!)
2. Pepper Gomez vs. Richard Hutton.
Hutton tried several takedowns, but Gomez fought back with drop kicks and hip tosses. Hutton slowed the match down with several submissions and then got up to yell at the crowd. Gomez got up and drop kicked him into the turnbuckle. He then hit a Mexican Cradle and pulled the win.
Winner: Gomez by pinfall.
3. Triple Threat Match: Cruiserweight Champion Tiger Mask vs. Danny Hodge vs. Jushin Liger.
The two Japanese wrestlers wanted to tear each other to shreds, knocking Hodge to the floor and going after each other for blood. Hodge finally got back into the ring, but fell between the two and got a double sandwich kick for his efforts. Liger tried to pin Hodge, but he only got a 2-count. He tried a Brainbuster, but Tiger broke the count. Tiger tried a Tiger Suplex on Hodge, but Liger broke the count. All three then brawled with Liger sending Hodge again to the floor and hitting Tiger with several attacks off the turnbuckle. Liger nailed the Brainbuster, but Tiger kicked out. Liger tried a flying move off the turnbuckle, but Tiger moved. Hodge then rolled into the ring and caught Liger with an Oklahoma Roll for the win.
Winner and Once Again Cruiserweight Champion: Danny Hodge by pinfall.
4. Crush n Gore vs. The Mongols.
The Crusher and Fritz Von Goering tore into their opponents, with the action quickly spilling to the floor. No tags were made but by the time the referee stopped the match, all 4 men were bleeding.
Referee's decision: Double Disqualification.
5. Yukon Eric vs. Ox Baker.
Ox was already in the ring when Eric walked out, wheeling a bicycle.
Eric: “Ox, I finally found it. I'm so sorry for everything. I want to end our feud tonight.”
Ox flew out of the ring and ran up to his bike, tears in his eyes.
Ox: “It really...it Is my bike! You found it!”
Ox cradled his bike while hiding his face. Finally, he got up and turned to Eric, holding his hand out.
Ox: “You know, I've been known to make mistakes. I thought one thing about you, and now you do this. I know the truth now, and I was wrong about what I thought of you. (Eric takes his hand and smiles) But seeing this now I finally realize....YOU REALLY DID TAKE MY BICYCLE, YOU LYING, BACK STABBING PIECE OF #$%$!”
Ox clotheslined Eric and pounded him repeatedly in the face. He then whipped him against the rail and hit the Heart Punch. He then picked up his bicycle and walked away.
No Match.
6. Regional Champion Bruiser Brody vs. The Destroyer.
Destroyer took about five minutes getting to the ring, entering to a Berlioz overture. He then slowly removed his robe and stood proudly in the ring while Wild Red Berry made his introduction.
Berry: “Ladies and gentlemen, here is his tonight, The Man with the plan who ruled All Japan! The man who awaits the return of the title he never legally lost. Undefeated, undisputed, and understanding. The reigning, the pouring, but never once boring. The one true Heavyweight Champion of all Regions...The De-Stroyer!”
Destroyer: “Thank you, Berry, tonight we will set right the past-”
He was cut off when Led Zepplin's “Immigrant Song” began playing and Brody ran to the ring. He flew through the ropes and stood on the turnbuckle, holding his title high. He finally got down and stood before Destroyer. The referee took the title and held it up, but Destroyer yanked it from him and smashed Brody in the face. He then hit a piledriver onto the belt and ordered the referee to start the match. Destroyer dropped Brody to the mat over and over, but he couldn't get a 3-count. He locked the Figure Four, but Brody broke the hold. He threw Brody into the turnbuckle, but Brody came back with a running clothesline. Brody then tossed Destroyer to the floor and hit a powerful slam on the entrance ramp. Brody threw Destroyer back into the ring and hit the Double Knee Drop, but Berry put Destroyer's foot on the rope. Albano then chased Berry up the rampway. Bastein and The Mountie tried to run out, but they were stopped by The Samoans. Destroyer got up, but Brody kicked him in the ribs and hit a piledriver for the win.
Winner and Still Regional Champion: Bruiser Brody by pinfall.
7. Steel Cage Match (No escape!):
Ultimate Champion Dan “The Beast” Severn vs. The Sandman.
Sandman entered the cage with his Singapore Cane. Severn entered the cage, blasted Sandman with a tackle and German suplex, and tossed the cane outside the cage. Sandman fought back and managed to hit a Hardcore DDT, but Severn kicked out. Severn hit a takedown and locked the Beast Choker, but Sandman poked him in the eyes. Severn then hit the Shooter Suplex and knocked Sandman cold.
Winner and Still Ultimate Champion: Dan Severn by knockout.
8. Hardcore Match: Headstalker vs. Kylla Cabal.
The two started fighting in the aisle, and Kylla grabbed a chair, but Headstalker kicked it back into his face. Headstalker went immediately for the Beheader off the railing, but Kylla used the same chair to basically swat him away. Kylla then picked up Headstalker, dragged him near the ring, and sent him crashing into the stairs. He picked him up again and tossed him into the timekeeper's table. Kylla picked up the metal stairs and stepped towards him, but Headstalker picked up the bell, spun it backwards like a discus, and caught Kylla right across the jaw. Kylla fell back and the stairs landed on him. Neither man moved for a minute, and the referee made sure they wanted to continue.
Finally, both men made it to their feet. Kylla ripped off a piece of his shirt and wrapped it around the lower part of his face, as his jaw was beginning to swell. He then hit Headstalker with a tackle and began punching him. Headstalker kicked him off and hit a front drop kick right to the face. Headstalker charged forward, but Kylla flapjacked him right into the railing. Kylla then tied Headstalker's head and arms in the ropes, with his feet still dangling outside the ring. Kylla entered the ring and began bashing his opponent over and over again with a chair to the head. Finally, he dragged Headstalker into the ring, held him over the same chair, and hit the KIA. He collapsed onto his opponent as the referee counted to 3.
Winner: Kylla Cabal by pinfall.
Aftermath: Kylla left the ring and stumbled to the back. Headstalker eventually came to and did the same. Both men got standing ovations from the fans.
9. Submission Match: Frank Gotch vs. Angelo Mosca.
Mosca tried to attack Gotch before the bell, but Gotch ducked and hit a tackle and arm bar. Mosca escaped, but Gotch then went for a leg vice. Mosca got to the ropes, but when he got up, Gotch dropped him again to the mat with an arm bar and facelock. Mosca again used to ropes to escape and raked Gotch's eyes. He then used the distraction to floor his opponent with a running clothesline. He tossed the smaller man around the ring a few times and began taunting him. He then went for his Sleeper, but Gotch backed him into the ropes. Gotch then dropped Mosca to the mat with the Gotch Toehold. Mosca, not wanting to submit, pretended to pass out. Suddenly, George Hackenschmidt walked out. He grabbed a cup of ice water and threw it into Mosca's face. Mosca jumped up in surprise, and the referee, who was about to stop the match, declared that it would continue. Gotch kept the lock held, and Hack pointed to Mosca and made a mock tap-out gesture. The pain was too much and eventually Mosca did indeed tap out.
Winner: Frank Gotch by submission.
Aftermath: Gotch celebrated in the ring. Hack saluted him and walked to the back. Mosca limped to the back.
10. Main Event! SAGA Heavyweight Champion Killer Kowalski w/ Ed “Strangler” Lewis vs. Giant Baba w/ Street Reaper.
Baba walked to the ring to the Japanese song, “King's Road.” Kowalski walked out to Ric Flair's WWF theme. The two stood face to face, and Kowalski said something derogatory in Japanese to Baba. Baba grabbed him and threw him right over the ropes and to the floor. The crowd erupted, and Lewis rushed to Kowalski's side, with both looking up in shock. The referee counted slowly, and eventually, Kowalski got back into the ring. He went for an elbow strike, but Baba kicked him in the gut and hit a brainbuster. Baba then hit a legdrop and tried a cover, but Kowalski kicked out. Both men got up, and Baba went for a grapple, but Kowalski snuck in a knee to the ribs and elbow to the back of the head. Kowalski then locked a stomach claw, but Baba shoved him away. Kowalski began stomping him, but Baba rolled out of reach. Baba got up, lunged forward, and picked Kowalski up for a spinebuster. He then hit a spinning neckbreaker. He followed with a Russian legsweep, and Kowalski rolled to the floor. Baba waited for him to return, but Street Reaper yelled for him to follow. Finally, Baba did so and sent Kowalski crashing into a nearby table. He rolled Kowalski back into the ring and went for another cover, but only got a two count.
Baba went for a legdrop, but Kowalski rolled out of the way. He punched Baba and sent him flying with a dropkick. Kowalski then hit Baba with a backbreaker and went for a cover, but he only got a two count. He went for a piledriver, but Baba back body dropped him. Baba then launched Kowalski into the turnbuckle and charged forward, but Kowalski countered with a big boot kick. Kowalski then locked the Kowalski Claw. Baba fought it, then shoved Kowalski hard into the turnbuckle. Both men went down. Baba got up and picked up his opponent. He threw him into the ropes and bounced off the opposite ropes for the Neckbreaker Drop, but Kowalski ducked. Baba hit the mat hard and rolled onto his stomach as Reaper tried to yell instructions to him. Kowalski got up and hit a Bomb's away knee drop, then another, and another, and another. He bounced off the ropes and hot another, and another, and another. finally, he rolled over Baba and hooked the leg as the referee counted to three. Even Lewis and Reaper were shocked.
Winner and Still SAGA Heavyweight Champion: Killer Kowalski by pinfall.
Aftermath: Baba crawled to his corner and looked to his manager, but Reaper merely glared at him, turned and walked to the back. Baba slowly rolled out of the ring and followed. Meanwhile, Timber joined Lewis in the ring as they celebrated with Kowalski. Timber handed Kowalski a microphone.
Kowalski: “Well, it Is official. I am still your Heavyweight Champion! And that puts me in a small but special group of other champions. I'd like to take this time to honor all those former Heavyweight Champions.”
Lewis: “Why, Walter, that's infinitely generous of you to-”
Kowalski: “I said, 'I'd like to.' I didn't say I would. You think I'd actually waste my time, dwelling on a bunch of losers? They're called 'former champions' for a reason. No, I think my time should best be suited to the present, honoring the current and one true champion, myself. But rest assured, ex-champions, this title that you held proudly in the past, until you eventually LOST is now and will continue to be in good hands. Thank you and good night.”
