YEAR TWO, CARD 6
Tampa Armory
Commissioner Richcreek came out with Dan Severn and explained that since Greg Valentine wanted a match with Rikidozan based on what happened at the end of the last card, he would get it on this card. Giant Baba was also scheduled to wrestle, but there was no one in Jim Cornette’s stable available (the Midnight Express will wrestle later this card in a tag-tournament match), so he would put the names of all the wrestlers not scheduled to wrestle tonight in a bowl and pick out the name of Baba’s opponent. Then U.S. heavyweight champion “Nature Boy” Buddy Rogers came to the ring yet again to interrupt the commissioner, only to come face to face with Severn. The two began to scrap a bit, so Richcreek got them separated and scheduled a nontitle match between the two for later this card.
Rick Rude made his BCW debut by pinning Chris Candido (w/ Tammy) following a RUDE AWAKENING. Rude had some problems with Candido early on, as he was the recipient of two BLONDE BOMB top-rope power bombs, but Rude blocked a third attempt and then pushed Candido off the ropes. Bobby “The Brain” Heenan came down to watch Rude’s match, and afterward he put his arm around Rude’s shoulders as they awaited the arrival of the Braintrust.
The Braintrust (w/ Bobby Heenan, Rick Rude) d. Jimmy Snuka and B. Brian Blair when Snuka succumbed to the BOCKWINKEL SLEEPER in a match to decide who will face the new tag-team champion after Bithlo Bash. Bockwinkel got the advantage when Rude distracted Snuka. Then when Blair tried to intervene, Ox Baker took him out.
The Sheik (w/ Nikita Breznikov, Nikolai Volkoff) d. Virgil (w/ Richard Hutton) when, once again, he stabbed Virgil in the head with a sharp object, then pinned him. Money Inc. had sought the match to damage one of the competitors in the tag-team tournament. Virgil dominated the first part of the match, pummeling the Sheik. Then the Sheik got a bit of light and made Virgil pay. He also threatened a fireball to keep Hutton at bay until he left the ring.
The Dangerous Dads d. the Money Boys (w/ Dick Hutton) by DQ in a tag-team tournament match when Hutton interfered as Bob Orton Sr. was going for a pin on Brutus Beefcake. The long bout saw two evenly matched teams going back and forth. But when Orton Sr. gained control, Hutton had no choice but to try to interfere. Yet Buff Bagwell could not distract the ref enough to prevent the DQ. Iron Mike DiBiase got a victory over the organization headed by his son, who was not present at ringside.
U.S heavyweight champion Buddy Rogers d. Dan “the Beast” Severn by DQ in a nontitle match when Severn slammed Rogers to the floor outside the ring, then slipped on the WAKIGATAME submission hold. Rogers had tried to pin Severn using the ropes, but Severn slipped out of the pin and outside the ring. That’s when Rogers followed Severn and slapped him, causing Severn to go berserk and attack Rogers. Afterward, Rogers was furious that he had been manhandled. He called for a rematch with Severn, who blew him off. Then Rogers said, “You name the terms, big man.” Severn said in a cage at Bithlo Bash and for the belt – and Rogers agreed!
The Midnight Express (w/ Jim Cornette) d. the Flying Redheads in a great, long match in the tag-team tournament when Stan Lane used a SUPERKICK to pin Red Bastien. Bastien was a step slow all night after the attack on him by Ox Baker at the last card, but he still put up a good fight. Both sides had pin attempts in the evenly paced bout.
Greg Valentine d. Rikidozan using the FIGURE-FOUR LEGLOCK after a long, grueling match. No one was allowed at ringside during the match. Valentine spent the first part of the match just pummeling Rikidozan, rarely going for the pin. Antonio Inoki snuck down to the ring during one pin attempt and tried to interfere, but Valentine gave him a noggin’-knocker with Rikidozan, and Inoki fell back out of the ring. Security, led by Severn, took Inoki to the back. Rikidozan later gained control, but never made a pin attempt on Valentine, apparently happy to just attack and wear Valentine down. Finally, Valentine reversed the momentum and got the win. But then Giant Baba came down to ringside and gave a weary Valentine his NECKBREAKER DROP finisher. The Japanese duo left before the Midnight Express and Jim Cornette could arrive on the scene. Valentine looked to be injured – what will happen to the championship match at Bithlo Bash??
Commissioner Richcreek announced that Giant Baba will face …. Bobo Brazil!
World heavyweight champion Giant Baba d. Bobo Brazil via a NECKBREAKER DROP in a nontitle match. Baba dominated the match and put Brazil away quickly. Afterward, he took the mike and said, “As long as we Japanese athletes have been here, we have not been given the respect we deserve. No more! We are by ourselves, so we will defend ourselves. I am the longest-reigning heavyweight champ in BCW history, and this belt is mine! Disrespect us, and you will face the consequences.” Inoki and Rikidozan joined him in the ring to celebrate as the fans booed.

YEAR TWO, CARD 7
Bithlo Bash PPV, Bithloplex
Commissioner Richcreek came out and began to make a comment about the world heavyweight championship match, only to be interrupted by Jim Cornette, who ran up and whispered something in his ear while the enforcer of rules, Dan Severn, watched closely in case there was another attack on the commish. Richcreek nodded his head, then announced that despite the injury to Greg Valentine, there would be a world heavyweight championship match, it would be a dog-collar match, and Giant Baba’s opponent would be …. announced before the match begins.
The Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff (w/ Nikita Breznikov) d. the Dangerous Dads by DQ to reach the finals of the tag-team tournament. The long match was pretty even throughout, but eventually Bob Orton Sr. and the Sheik ended up outside the ring, and surprisingly, Orton was the one DQ’d for running the Sheik into a pole.
The Midnight Express (w/ Jim Cornette) d. the Barrio Boys (w/ Paul Ellering) to also reach the finals of the tag-team tournament when Bobby Eaton hit the VEG-O-MATIC on Konnan. The Midnight Express did a great job of isolating Konnan and beating him down, never allowing him to get much offense or a chance to tag out. In fact, the only time Diamond Dallas Page got into the ring was to break up pin attempts on Konnan.
Dan “The Beast” Severn d. “Nature Boy” Buddy Rogers in a cage match to win the U.S. heavyweight championship. Both men got their finishing holds on the other during the long, grueling match, but the end was a surprising one: Severn executed a perfect sunset flip on Rogers to get the pin. Rogers was furious afterward.
Battle Bowl (Eliminated/by whom) Note: * = brought in to BCW to fill out Battle Bowl field
Iron Sheik * (Jimmy Snuka) / B. Brian Blair (Destroyer) / Bob Orton Sr. (Konnan) / Bob Orton Jr. (Billy “Red” Lyons) / Buff Bagwell (Buddy Rose) / Brutus Beefcake (Red Bastien) / Mil Mascaras (Rikidozan) / Virgil (Nick Bockwinkel) / Jimmy Snuka (Chris Candido) – last year’s winner is gone / Billy “Red” Lyons (Killer Kowalski) / Killer Kowalski * (Red Bastien) /Bruiser Brody (Rick Rude) / Dick Hutton (Destroyer) / Nick Bockwinkel and Konnan both went over the ropes together / Diamond Dallas Page (Bobo Brazil) / Masked Superstar * (Antonio Inoki) / Playboy Buddy Rose * (King Kong Bundy – returning to action after injury) / Iron Mike DiBiase (Antonio Inoki) / Rikidozan (Ox Baker) / Justin Credible (Destroyer) / Rick Rude (King Kong Bundy) / Ox Baker (King Kong Bundy) / Chris Candido (King Kong Bundy – the big man is on a roll) / Steve Corino * (Antonio Inoki) /
The final five were: Red Bastien, Bobo Brazil, King Kong Bundy, the Destroyer and Antonio Inoki.
Bobo Brazil (Destroyer)
Red Bastien (Antonio Inoki)
Destroyer (Antonio Inoki)
Finally: A red-hot but exhausted Inoki catches King Kong Bundy with the ENZUIGIRI to the back of the head, sending Bundy over the ropes and out of the ring. Inoki wins the Battle Bowl! For the second year in a row, Bundy is in the final two but does not win it. Will Inoki again face Baba for the title, this time at Tag-o-Rama?
The Midnight Express (w/ Jim Cornette) d. the Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff (w/ Nikita Breznikov) to win the vacant tag-team titles. A wild back-and-forth match ended when Stan Lane and Bobby Eaton executed the ROCKET LAUNCHER on the Sheik. When Eaton went for the pin, Volkoff tried to interfere, only to be hit by Cornette’s trusty tennis racket. Eaton got the 3-count! Afterward, Nick Bockwinkel, Ox Baker and Rick Rude came to ringside and started pounding on the Midnight Express. Sheik and Volkoff joined in before security and Dan Severn got the groups separated.
Gary Michael Cappetta announced the opponent for Giant Baba … Johnny Valentine! The father of Greg and the man who took Baba’s title after his first reign AND injured him is back in BCW! Let the dog-collar match begin!
Giant Baba d. Johnny Valentine using two consecutive NECKBREAKER DROPS to retain the world heavyweight championship. The match was back and forth at times, but mostly controlled by Baba (although Valentine got some good shots in with the chain connected to the dog collars). Afterward, Baba gave a dazed Valentine two backbreakers on the concrete floor outside the ring, paying back Valentine a year later for his injuries. While Valentine lay on the floor in pain, Antonio Inoki and Rikidozan came to the ring, and the Tokyo Three celebrated another triumphant night in BCW.

YEAR TWO, CARD 8
Melbourne Auditorium
Commissioner Richcreek opened the show by announcing that new U.S. champion Dan Severn had exercised his option under the rules to not defend his belt on this card. An unhappy Buddy Rogers stormed the ring, only to be restrained by security and taken to the back. Then Richcreek announced the changes to this year’s Tag-o-Rama PPV, set this year for the Akron Rubber Bowl. Richcreek said the 16-team event will feature 10 teams from BCW, four teams from independent promotions [Promoter Note: Those Filsinger cards not currently in BCW] and two teams from the rival BWF [Promoter Note: Bootleg Wrestling Federation]. Also, the BCW tag champs can lose their belts during the event if they lose their match (as long as not by DQ). Theoretically, the belts could change hands four times during the tournament. Of course, the winners of Tag-o-Rama will get a BCW tag title shot (as long as they are not already holding the belts). Tag records will help determine the seeding, so every tag match between now and the PPV on Card 14 will have added weight. The commissioner also said the U.S. and world heavyweight titles will be defended at the event.
The Money Boys (w/ Virgil) d. The Flying Redheads when Billy “Red” Lyons was DQ’d for getting into a tussle with the ref on his way to pounce on a sprawled Buff Bagwell. The long match had a wild conclusion, as Virgil (after failing in his interference attempt earlier in the match) knocked Red Bastien off the ring apron, then double-teamed Lyons with Beefcake, injuring Lyons with a hard double clothesline. The battle for Tag-o-Rama positioning has begun.
The Masked Marvels d. the Dangerous Dads when Bob Orton Sr. submitted to the Destroyer’s FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK. The Destroyer, revitalized after his third-place finish at Battle Bowl, controlled most of the match, and tag partner Mil Mascaras never got to tag in. The defending Tag-o-Rama champs might be peaking at the right time, but Mascaras did not appear to be happy about his lack of participation.
Virgil (w/ Money Boys) d. former Money Inc. member King Kong Bundy in a shocker. The finish came quickly as Bundy performed an AVALANCHE on Virgil and arrogantly asked the ref to make a five-count. The Money Boys distracted the ref, and Virgil escaped, only to hit Bundy with a dropkick. Then, while the ref was distracted, Brutus Beefcake hit Bundy with a studded armband, and Buff Bagwell held down one of his feet from outside the ring as Virgil got the pin. Bundy was furious afterward and vowed revenge on Money Inc.
The Barrio Boys d. Triple Threat (w/ Tammy) when Justin Credible was DQ’d for using the SINGAPORE CANE on Konnan. Tammy was unable to distract the ref when Credible attacked Konnan.
Bill Apter’s Hot Seat interview was with Antonio Inoki, winner of Battle Bowl. Inoki said it was just one more honor for the Tokyo Three. Apter asked if Inoki was looking forward to facing Baba again for the title, this time at Tag-O-Rama. Inoki’s brow furrowed, then he said: “I’m looking forward to another shot at the title, whether against Giant Baba or someone else. I’d like to pass that test.” Inoki then left the interview.
Commissioner Richcreek announced that Giant Baba will defend the world heavyweight title at the end of the card against a top-flight contender … the Sheik! The crowd gasped in surprise.
Bruiser Brody came to ringside and challenged anyone in the back to a no-DQ match. Richard Hutton of Money Inc. came out and said he would take the challenge, only to show how ridiculous Brody is.
Bruiser Brody d. Richard Hutton in a no-DQ match – the new Brody specialty. Hutton dominated most of the first part of the match, but Brody rallied and, after fending off a surprise attack by Virgil, nailed three consecutive JUMPING KNEE DROPS to finally subdue the resilient Hutton.
The Braintrust (w/ Bobby Heenan) regained the world tag-team titles by defeated the Midnight Express (w/ Jim Cornette) when Stan Lane tapped out to the FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK of Nick Bockwinkel. The Midnight Express fought valiantly to keep from getting pinned, but Bockwinkel (who was in the ring the whole time!) was a man possessed, and Heenan and Ox Baker ran interference.
Rikidozan d. Bobo Brazil in a good, back-and-forth match that ended with Rikidozan’s THUNDEROUS CHOPS. Brazil hit two COCO BUTTS on Rikidozan earlier, but couldn’t get the pin. Brazil has had a tough year in singles actions.
Giant Baba (w/ Rikidozan, Antonio Inoki) d. the Sheik (w/ Nikita Breznikov, Nikolai Volkoff) in a best-of-three-falls match to retain the world heavyweight championship. The Sheik was DQ’d during the first fall for slamming Baba to the floor outside the ring. The second fall was a long tussle that saw the Sheik stab Baba with a foreign object three times while Volkoff and Breznikov provided distraction for the ref. Finally, the Sheik started trying to bite Baba on the forehead, and when Baba tried to fight that off, the Sheik pinned him! Baba was frazzled and pretty fatigued at this point, but in the third fall, he was finally able to execute a NECKBREAKER DROP to get the victory. Still, Baba was pretty unsteady and bloodied afterward when celebrating in the ring with Rikidozan and Inoki.

YEAR TWO, CARD 9
Sanford Barn
A bandaged and battered Giant Baba came out to start the card and announced that he would NOT be defending the world heavyweight title that night, as he was “too tired.” He added that he has held the belt for so long, he would defend it when he “wanted to.” The fans booed.
The Triple Threat (w/ Tammy) d. the Midnight Express (w/ Jim Cornette) when Stan Lane was DQ’d for slamming Justin Credible’s head into a steel post. Lane and Eaton controlled much of the match, but seemed frustrated about their recent short title reign and their inability to put Triple Threat away early.
Rick Rude (w/ Bobby Heenan) d. Iron Mike DiBiase using the RUDE AWAKENING. DiBiase controlled the first half of the match and seemed to be methodically wearing down Rude until the Ravishing One got the advantage and made it pay.
Bob Orton Jr. came out and said he was tired of his dad being in the same organization and tired of living in his shadow. So he challenged his dad to a first blood match! Bob Orton Sr. came out and accepted the challenge for later in the card. It was also announced that Dan Severn would defend his title in a cage versus former U.S. champ “Nature Boy” Buddy Rogers.
Nikolai Volkoff and the Sheik (w/ Nikita Breznikov) d. the Barrio Boys when the Sheik threw a FIREBALL at Diamond Dallas Page, then later got him to submit using the CAMEL CLUTCH. The Sheik started the match by biting Page on the forehead and just got crazier from there. Konnan tried to break up the submission hold but was stopped by Volkoff.
Antonio Inoki (w/ Rikidozan), in a special challenge match, d. King Kong Bundy using a top-rope kneedrop in a matchup of the two finalists from Battle Bowl. Inoki displayed prodigious strength by executing two belly-to-back suplexes on Bundy, and he nailed Bundy with an ENZUIGIRI, but it still took a number of covers before he finally pinned Bundy.
The Masked Marvels d. B. Brian Blair and Jimmy Snuka when the Destroyer got Blair to submit using the single-leg Boston crab. Once again, the Destroyer wrestled the whole match, leaving Mil Mascaras frustrated. Jimmy Snuka hit a SUPERFLY LEAP on the Destroyer earlier in the match, but the Destroyer got his shoulder up before the three-count. Nikita Breznikov came to ringside during the match, and the Destroyer and (a reluctant) Mil Mascaras left with him afterward!
The Braintrust (w/ Bobby Heenan) d. the Money Boys (w/ Richard Hutton, Virgil) in a surprisingly long match to retain their world tag-team titles. Nick Bockwinkel looked to have things wrapped up early, but Hutton’s interference led to a pin breakup. Then the Money Boys’ fine efforts at tagging in and out kept them in the match until Bockwinkel was able to slap the BOCKWINKEL SLEEPER on Brutus Beefcake, while Ox Baker kept Buff Bagwell and the other Money Inc. members from interfering.
Bob Orton Sr. d. Bob Orton Jr. in an all-Orton first blood match. Orton Jr. took the early advantage on his dad, but Orton Sr. rallied and eventually busted open his son using a scoop slam followed by an elbow drop to the face. Orton Jr. slammed the mat with his hands in frustration afterward.
“Nature Boy” Buddy Rogers regained the U.S. heavyweight title by defeating Dan “The Beast” Severn in a cage match. Severn controlled the first part of the match, but then Rogers got the upper hand and eventually made Severn submit to the FIGURE FOUR GRAPEVINE. Afterward, Rogers continued to attack Severn’s knee to the point of injury. He then paraded around the ring with the belt as fans booed and Severn writhed in pain.

YEAR TWO, CARD 10
Eddie Graham Sports Stadium
Rikidozan began the card by announcing that since world heavyweight champion Giant Baba and Antonio Inoki were in training to face each other at Tag-o-Rama, they couldn’t possibly be in action tonight. The crowd began booing. U.S. champ “Nature Boy” Buddy Rogers then came out, took the mike from Rikidozan and said not to worry, he would carry the card as usual – and he would be facing a former U.S. champ in the first defense of his fourth U.S. title reign. He also took a shot at the commissioner, noting that he wasn’t out much since his enforcement director (Dan Severn) was laid up. Rogers then laughed, threw down the mike and left the ring.
Don Leo Jonathan, in his return match from injury, defeated Bob Orton Sr. by DQ when Orton slammed him onto the concrete floor outside the ring. The former BCW world heavyweight champion was impressive in his return, dominating most of the match and forcing the desperation move by Orton.
The Midnight Express (w/ Jim Cornette) d. the Masked Marvels (w/ Nikita Breznikov) when Bobby Eaton and Stan Lane executed a VEG-O-MATIC on the Destroyer. When the Destroyer opted once again to not tag in Mil Mascaras during the match, Mascaras left ringside. The Destroyer continued to hold his own for a while, but eventually was overcome by the Midnight Express and Cornette’s interference. The Destroyer was furious at Mascaras afterward.
Bob Orton Jr. came out and challenged Ted DiBiase to a match – if Orton won, DiBiase must team with him against their fathers. If Orton lost, he would quit BCW. DiBiase, returning from an injury, came to the ring, laughed and accepted the challenge.
Bob Orton Jr. d. Ted DiBiase (w/ Richard Hutton) to win the right to team with DiBiase against their parents. The surprise ending came when Orton knocked Hutton off the ring apron, then gave DiBiase a piledriver and got a quick three-count. DiBiase was angry afterward about the loss.
The Money Boys (w/ Ted DiBiase, Richard Hutton) d. the Barrio Boys when Buff Bagwell gave the BUFF BLOCKBUSTER to Diamond Dallas Page. The pin came in part because Hutton took out Konnan, keeping him from making a pin-saving effort.
King Kong Bundy came to the ring enraged at how things had been going for him lately and how he had been “ripped off.” Old rival Nikolai Volkoff came out and said for Bundy to “quit whining.” Ten seconds later, a Texas Death Match had been made.
King Kong Bundy d. Nikolai Volkoff (w/ Nikita Breznikov, the Destroyer) using an elbow drop off the ropes at the end of a farily long match in which both men were worn down. Afterward, the Destroyer and Breznikov looked to attack a weary Bundy, but then out came Bruiser Brody to stand in the ring next to Bundy. Breznikov’s group slinked off as Brody held up Bundy’s arm in victory.
Rick Rude (w/ the Braintrust, Bobby Heenan) d. Justin Credible (w/ Chris Candido, Tammy) by DQ when Credible used the SINGAPORE CANE on Rude. Credible had all the momentum in the match when he decided to start caning Rude. Afterward, the Braintrust entered the ring and put the boots to Candido and Credible until Don Leo Jonathan showed up to run them off.
The Sheik came to ringside and complained that he should have a rematch with Giant Baba for the heavyweight title, because no one had beaten up Baba like he did. Bobo Brazil came out and admitted that he had had a tough-luck year so far, but that maybe pummeling the Sheik in another last man standing match would change his fortunes. The Sheik waved him into the ring.
Bobo Brazil destroyed the Sheik in a last man standing match. Brazil dominated the action, and the Sheik never even got a chance to throw a FIREBALL. Afterward, Brazil took the mike, stood over the bloodied Sheik and said, “That’s what awaits YOU, Giant Baba … if you dare!”
U.S. heavyweight champion “Nature Boy” Buddy Rogers d. Virgil (w/ Money Inc.) using a piledriver after a long match. Well, Rogers was correct in that Virgil WAS a former U.S. heavyweight champ, but the crowd seemed unimpressed. Virgil did put up a good fight, in part because Ted DiBiase and company were distracting Rogers. Still, Rogers got the job done. Jim Cornette came to ringside and tried to help Rogers, but Rogers blew him off after the match.

YEAR TWO, CARD 11
Bithloplex
The Dangerous Dads d. the Money Boys when Buff Bagwell was slammed and pinned by Bob Orton Sr. The Money Boys were obviously sent out to injure the Dangerous Dads as part of the new DiBiase-Orton son alliance, but Iron Mike DiBiase took out Brutus Beefcake while Orton Sr. got the surprise pin.
Antonio Inoki (w/ Rikidozan) d. Ted DiBiase (w/ Bob Orton Jr., Brutus Beefcake, Buff Bagwell) using the ENZUIGIRI after a good match that saw both men have pin attempts. Afterward, Money Inc. entered the ring, and while the Money Boys took out Rikidozan, Cowboy Bob Orton Jr. gave Inoki a SUPERPLEX onto a chair in the ring, injuring him. His status for Tag-o-Rama's world heavyweight title match is in doubt.
Nikolai Volkoff, the Sheik and the Destroyer (w/ Nikita Breznikov) d. Don Leo Jonathan, Justin Credible and Chris Candido (w/ Tammy) in a no-DQ match when the Sheik hit Jonathan with a FIREBALL after Breznikov tripped him up coming off the ropes, and he was pinned by the Sheik. During the match, Mil Mascaras came from the crowd to attack the Destroyer, but the Destroyer bounced him from the ring, and then the two fought to the back. Despite the loss of a man, Breznikov’s interference was enough to turn the tide.
U.S. heavyweight champion Buddy Rogers lost to Rick Rude (w/ Bobby Heenan) by DQ in a great five-star match! Rogers was DQ’d for hitting Rude with the championship belt outside the ring. Rude dominated much of the match, pounding Rogers and using the RUDE AWAKENING once, but Rogers kept slipping out of pin attempts.
King Kong Bundy d. Virgil by piledriving him to the concrete floor outside the ring. Afterward, the rest of Money Inc. came down and started attacking the former Money Inc. member. Although Bruiser Brody came in to make the save, the damage was done – Bundy was injured.
In a stunning turn of events, Jimmy Snuka and B. Brian Blair won the BCW tag-team titles by defeating the Braintrust (w/ Bobby Heenan). The Braintrust seemed to be treating the match almost as a practice ahead of Tag-o-Rama, and Snuka and Blair executed their plan to perfection. While Blair got Ox Baker to chase him around the outside of the ring, which also distracted Heenan, Snuka unleashed his SUPERFLY LEAP on Nick Bockwinkel for the pin. Heenan was going crazy afterward, while the crowd was cheering.
Bruiser Brody d. Richard Hutton in a long, brutal no-DQ rematch that took place inside and outside the ring. Each man had control of part of the match. Money Inc. tried to interfere and take out King Kong Bundy’s newfound friend, but security kept Ted DiBiase’s crew from getting involved. The end came when Brody took Hutton outside the ring, ran him into a pole, brought him back inside the ring and finished him off with a JUMPING KNEE DROP.
Konnan (w/ Diamond Dallas Page) d. world heavyweight champion Giant Baba (w/ Rikidozan) by DQ in a nontitle match. Baba and Konnan took turns controlling the match, and Baba even nailed Konnan with the NECKBREAKER DROP, but couldn’t get the three-count. Later, Konnan gained control and slapped on his TEQUILA SUNRISE hold. Rikidozan jumped into the ring and hit Konnan with his THUNDEROUS CHOPS. Afterward, all four men squared off before security hit the ring to separate them. Fans were chanting “rematch.”

YEAR TWO, CARD 12
Jefferson (OH) Fairgrounds
In his return to action from injury, Greg Valentine (w/ the Midnight Express, Jim Cornette) lost to Nick Bockwinkel (w/ Ox Baker, Bobby Heenan) when Bockwinkel executed a back suplex and Baker held Valentine’s foot down long enough for Bockwinkel to get the pin. Cornette and the Midnight Express appealed to the ref, but to no avail.
The Money Boys (w/ Richard Hutton) and the Flying Redheads wrestled to a double DQ when Brutus Beefcake and Red Bastien entered the ring while Billy “Red” Lyons (back from injury) and Buff Bagwell were wrestling. Punches were flying among the four.
Bill Apter interviewed Richard Hutton of Money Inc. for Apter's “Hot Seat” segment. Hutton already seemed irritated after the last match, and Apter’s first question about the DiBiase/Orton father-son feud just made him angrier. He pushed Apter, which brought Diamond Dallas Page to the scene. While Apter bailed, Hutton waived him into the ring for an impromptu match.
Diamond Dallas Page d. Richard Hutton using a swinging neckbreaker. Earlier in the match, when Hutton was in control, Page slipped an atomic drop attempt and hit him with the DIAMOND CUTTER. The resilient Hutton escaped the pin attempt, but was woozy after that and eventually succumbed to the neckbreaker.
Ted DiBiase and Bob Orton Jr. came to ringside and announced that they will give their dads what they want – a match! But it will be a Million Dollar Cage Match. The Dangerous Dads came out and accepted the terms.
Out came the cage!
The Dangerous Dads d. Ted DiBiase and Bob Orton Jr. in a cage match when Iron Mike DiBiase pinned Orton Jr. following a piledriver. The sons had controlled much of the match, although they seemed to use tagging in and out to avoid wrestling their respective fathers. Yet despite the beating Iron Mike took, he still managed to surprise Orton Jr. and get the pin. Ted DiBiase was very unhappy afterward.
Bobo Brazil captured the U.S heavyweight title by defeating Buddy Rogers using the COCO BUTT. Rogers started the match chasing after announcer Gary Michael Cappetta, only to have Brazil unload on him. Rogers then controlled most of the match until Brazil nailed him with a big hammer punch, then his finisher to take the title. Rogers complained of a fast count afterward.
The Destroyer came to ringside and said that since the cage is available, it was time to settle things with Mil Mascaras. Mascaras agreed.
Mil Mascaras d. the Destroyer in a cage match when he nailed the Destroyer with a kick and then climbed the cage to freedom. The Destroyer couldn’t believe how quickly he lost and demanded a rematch. Mascaras just wagged a finger at him and walked away.
The Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff (w/ Nikita Breznikov) became the new BCW tag-team champions when they defeated Jimmy Snuka and B. Brian Blair. The Sheik blitzed Snuka, stabbing him repeatedly in the forehead with a foreign object while Breznikov kept the ref distracted and Volkoff punked out Blair.
Bruiser Brody d. Virgil using his JUMPING KNEE DROP in a no-DQ match. Beforehand, he announced that his matches with Money Inc. would be in honor of King Kong Bundy, who was injured by Money Inc. He then dominated the match. The ever-busy Richard Hutton tried to interfere, but Brody threw him into the crowd, then he finished Virgil. Bobby Heenan tried to approach Brody afterward, but was rebuffed.
Giant Baba d. Konnan 2-0 in a best-of-three-falls match to retain the world heavyweight championship. The first fall saw Konnan slap on the TEQUILA SUNRISE, following a lot of back-and-forth action, only to have Baba break the hold and eventually nail Konnan with a NECKBREAKER DROP to win the fall. The second fall ended quickly after Baba hit Konnan with a headbutt, then followed it up with another NECKBREAKER DROP.
Afterward, Baba announced that he wanted Ted DiBiase in a cage at Tag-o-Rama to make DiBiase pay for what he did in injuring Antonio Inoki. Greg Valentine came out and said he wanted his title shot that was missed due to injury at Bithlo Bash. Commissioner Richcreek then emerged and announced that Valentine and DiBiase would wrestle at the next card for the right to face Giant Baba for the title at Tag-o-Rama.

YEAR TWO, CARD 13
Ashtabula Armory
The Money Boys d. the Dangerous Dads when Bob Orton Sr. was DQ’d for slamming Buff Bagwell onto a ringside table. Earlier, Bagwell had delivered a cheap shot of his own to Orton while the two were outside the ring, but it went unnoticed by the ref.
Diamond Dallas Page d. Richard Hutton in a rematch that was a great match. Hutton worked long and hard to break Page down while avoiding the DIAMOND CUTTER, which had led to his defeat last time. Page got it on him twice, but not well enough to get the pin. However, one of the times Hutton avoided the pin, he subsequently walked into a swinging neckbreaker, which led to his defeat. Hutton was frustrated afterward, as he had wrestled a sound technical match.
The Midnight Express (w/ Jim Cornette) d. the Triple Threat (w/ Tammy) when the Midnight Express executed the ROCKET LAUNCHER on Justin Credible. The victory helped the Midnight Express clinch a high seed for Tag-o-Rama.
Jimmy Snuka won a special challenge match by defeating another former BCW world heavyweight champion, Don Leo Jonathan. Jonathan had been injured a couple of times before by Snuka, including once accidentally. He was wrestling with a sore back, and Snuka used a couple of backbreakers to soften him up for the pin.
Cowboy Bob Orton Jr. and Virgil d. the Flying Redheads when Orton pinned Red Bastien following a second-rope power slam. Bastien was groggy from two earlier SUPERPLEXES. Virgil never tagged in.
Rick Rude (w/ Bobby Heenan) d. Buddy Rogers in a No. 1 contender’s match to get a shot at the U.S. heavyweight title at Tag-o-Rama. Rude controlled much of the match with Rogers. While Rogers was watching Heenan warily, Rude nailed him with a RUDE AWAKENING.
BCW tag-team champions the Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff (w/ Nikita Breznikov, the Destroyer) d. the Braintrust (w/ Bobby Heenan, Rick Rude) when Nick Bockwinkel was DQ’d for belting the Sheik outside the ring with a steel chair. Bockwinkel was angry that the Sheik had bit him in the forehead. The victory secured the No. 1 seed at Tag-o-Rama for Breznikov’s boys.
Ted DiBiase (w/ Money Inc.) d. Greg Valentine (w/ Jim Cornette, Midnight Express) to win a shot at Giant Baba at Tag-o-Rama. The evenly paced match ended when Stan Lane tried to interfere while DiBiase had Valentine in the MILLION DOLLAR SLEEPER. DiBiase rammed Valentine’s head into Lane’s, then pinned Valentine. Afterward, Giant Baba came to ringside and said their match would be a single fall in a cage, and DiBiase would “pay dearly” for what he did to Inoki. DiBiase just laughed.

YEAR TWO, CARD 14
TAG-O-RAMA PPV
Akron Rubber Bowl
First round of TOR tournament:
(BCW No. 1 seed) Nikolai Volkoff and the Sheik (w/ Nikita Breznikov) d. (BCW 9) the Flying Redheads in a long match in which the Flying Redheads pushed the BCW tag-team champs to the limit, with a chance to win the titles. Finally, the Sheik hit Billy “Red” Lyons with a FIREBALL while Breznikov distracted the ref, and the Sheik got the pin.
(Independent No. 3) the Vachons (w/ Capt. Lou Albano) d. (BCW 7) the Triple Threat (w/ Don Leo Jonathan, Tammy) by DQ when Justin Credible whacked Mad Dog Vachon with the SINGAPORE CANE outside the ring. The Vachons had mostly controlled the match, and Credible was in danger of being pinned when he rolled out of the ring and went for the cane.
(Ind 2) Frank Gotch and George Hackenschmidt d. (BCW 4) the Dangerous Dads in a great old-school match when Bob Orton Sr. finally submitted to Hackenschmidt’s RUSSIAN BEAR HUG. Gotch and Hackenschmidt showed a variety of holds in subduing the Dangerous Dads.
(Bootleg Wrestling Federation No. 1) Scott Hall and Kevin Nash d. (BCW 5) the Money Boys (w/ Richard Hutton) when Kevin Nash pinned Brutus Beefcake. The Money Boys gave Hall and Nash all they could handle and even had Hall in a pinning predicament a couple of times, but then Nash caught Beefacke in a delayed side suplex and, coupled with a cheap shot or two from Hall, got the pin.
In what was considered an upset, (BWF 3) Ad Santel and Tom Jenkins d. (BCW 3) the Braintrust (w/ Bobby Heenan) when Santel locked Ox Baker into the STF until he submitted. Santel held on to the STF well after the bell rung, and Baker was injured because of it. Heenan was apoplectic afterward.
(Ind 1) The Road Warriors (w/ Paul Ellering) d. (BCW 6) the Barrio Boys by DQ when Konnan hit Hawk outside the ring with a chair. The matchup going in was interesting – former BCW mentors vs. their pupils – but Konnan decided to take a hardcore approach, and it cost the Barrio Boys.
(BCW 2) The Midnight Express (w/ Jim Cornette) and (Ind 4) the Italian Stallions wrestled to a double DQ, eliminating both teams. The Italian Stallions dominated the match, with Antonino Rocca believing he had Bobby Eaton pinned early in the match, only to have the ref make a slow count. Later, when Rocca tried to break up a pin attempt of Ilio DiPaolo by Eaton, chaos broke out. As a result, the winner of the next match gets a free ticket to the semifinals!
In an upset, (BCW 8) Jimmy Snuka and B. Brian Blair d. (BWF 2) Lex Luger and Ricky Steamboat when Snuka hit a SUPERFLY LEAP on Steamboat and pinned him. Perhaps the best match of the first round. Only two BCW teams made it out of the first round, but Snuka and Blair now have a bye to the semifinals.
End of first round.
The Destroyer (w/ Nikita Breznikov) d. Mil Mascaras in a brutal chain match that saw both men bloodied. The end came when the Destroyer came off the ropes and slammed Mascaras in the head with the chain, then used a single-leg Boston crab followed by the FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK to get the victory.
Quarterfinals of TOR:
(BCW 1) Nikolai Volkoff and the Sheik (w/ Nikita Breznikov) d. (Ind 3) the Vachons (w/ Capt. Lou Albano) when the Sheik took down Butcher Vachon with his sinister hammerlock. However, the victory was costly, as Mad Dog Vachon, who couldn’t tag in throughout the match because Butcher was isolated, nailed the Sheik in the face with a chair after the pin – the Sheik was seriously injured and had to be carted off. A battered Destroyer was approved by Commissioner Richcreek to take the Sheik’s place in the semifinal match, since he had already wrestled once on the card.
In an upset, (Ind 2) Frank Gotch and George Hackenschmidt d. (BWF 1) Scott Hall and Kevin Nash when Hall submitted to the GOTCH TOEHOLD. The wild match saw Nash attack Hackenschmidt before the bell rang to begin the match, only to find himself tied up in the RUSSIAN BEAR HUG. After order was restored, Gotch slapped on the toehold while Hackenschmidt occupied Nash.
(Ind 1) The Road Warriors (w/ Paul Ellering) d. (BWF 3) Ad Santel and Tom Jenkins when Santel was pinned following a DOOMSDAY DEVICE. Both sides got pinning attempts, but the Road Warriors were the ones who finally took control. Afterward, fans taunted the BWF for being the first one to have all its teams eliminated.
End of Quarterfinals
Bobo Brazil retained the U.S. heavyweight championship by defeating Rick Rude (w/ Bobby Heenan, Nick Bockwinkel) through the use of repeated COCO BUTTS. Brazil mostly dominated the match and fended off interference efforts from Heenan and Bockwinkel.
Semifinals of TOR:
(Ind 2) Frank Gotch and George Hackenschmidt won the BCW world tag team titles and reached the finals of TOR by defeating (BCW 1) Nikolai Volkoff and the Destroyer (w/ Nikita Breznikov) in a great match mostly dominated by Gotch and Hackenschmidt. The finish came when Hackenschmidt locked the Destroyer in the RUSSIAN BEAR HUG, and a weary Destroyer passed out before he could submit. Breznikov was unhappy afterward – he lost half of his tag team and the belts in the same night!
(Ind 1) The Road Warriors (w/ Paul Ellering) reached the finals of TOR by defeating (BCW 8) Jimmy Snuka and B. Brian Blair using the DOOMSDAY DEVICE on Snuka, who was exhausted because he was unable to tag out during the match. He did get one SUPERFLY LEAP against Animal, but couldn’t get the pin. With the loss, BCW has no teams in the final.
End of Semifinals.
In a stunner, Ted DiBiase won the world heavyweight championship in a cage match, defeating Giant Baba and ending the longest title reign in BCW history. DiBiase unveiled a flurry of offense throughout the match but could not get Baba to fall. Finally, after a particularly rough exchange with Baba, he slapped on the MILLION DOLLAR SLEEPER to get the victory. Afterward, Richard Hutton entered the cage and the pair injured Baba. They also relocked the door so that a furious Rikidozan could not get in. The Million Dollar Man is now the Million Dollar Champ.
TOR Finals:
(Ind 2) Frank Gotch and George Hackenschmidt won the TOR tournament and retained their newly won BCW tag-team titles by defeating (Ind 1) the Road Warriors (w/ Paul Ellering) when Animal succumbed to Hackenschmidt’s RUSSIAN BEAR HUG. The Road Warriors actually controlled much of the match, but seemed more interested in testing Gotch and Hack than actually beating them. That proved to be their downfall once Hack gained control. Afterward, Gotch and Hackenschmidt celebrated their triumphant day.

YEAR TWO, CARD 15
Richfield Coliseum
Commissioner Richcreek came to the ring to talk about the next PPV, Invasion. He said BCW had been issued a challenge by the BWF after Tag-o-Rama, so War Games will take place at the PPV, involving a series of matches worth certain point totals. The world (cage match), U.S. (ladder match) and tag champions (lumberjack match) will face their BWF counterparts, plus there will be five other matches (chain match, last man standing match, falls count anywhere match, coffin match and four-man elimination match). The organization with the most points at the end of the night will be the winner.
Richcreek said that qualifying would take place beginning this card for the nontitleholder matches, with the loser (or losers) of each match having to wrestle against independent wrestlers at the PPV for the right to retain a position in BCW, much like last year’s Invasion PPV. There will be four singles matches and two tag matches with this stipulation, spread over the next six cards.
Jimmy Valiant returned to BCW with a new look, calling himself the Boogie Woogie Man. He defeated Virgil (w/ Cowboy Bob Orton) after nailing him with a wind-up elbow drop.
Jimmy Snuka and B. Brian Blair vs. the Barrio Boys ended in a double DQ when Snuka attempted a SUPERFLY LEAP onto Konnan, only to have Diamond Dallas Page and B. Brian Blair enter the ring and a fight break out. Officials quickly restored order.
Dan Severn made a triumphant return from injury by d. Richard Hutton (w/ Cowboy Bob Orton) using a sunset flip and turning it into a pin in a great matchup of two technical wrestlers. Afterward, Severn announced: “The director of authority is back! The rest of you, beware!”
The Dangerous Dads d. the Midnight Express (w/ Jim Cornette) by DQ when Bobby Eaton was caught slamming Iron Mike DiBiase in the head with a steel chair outside the ring. The Midnight Express dominated most of the match, but saw the bad luck at Tag-o-Rama continue here.
Bill Apter interviewed new world heavyweight champion Ted DiBiase for his “Hot Seat” segment DiBiase said that Giant Baba got what was coming to him, and that he planned to hold on to the belt for a long time and “make some real money with it.” Suddenly, Rikidozan came onto the scene and said DiBiase would pay for his actions against Baba and Inkoi. The rest of Money Inc. came out and gave a beatdown to Rikidozan, with DiBiase repeatedly slapping him in the face as the others held him. Finally, Money Inc. gave him a group piledriver. DiBiase laughed and said, “Everyone has a price – and you just paid yours, Riki.” Money Inc. left as the medical staff checked on an injured Rikidozan.
The Money Boys (w/ Dick Hutton, Cowboy Bob Orton) d. the Flying Redheads when Buff Bagwell nailed Billy “Red” Lyons with the BUFF BLOCKBUSTER. Hutton and Orton looked to be almost grading the Money Boys at points – apparently, Money Inc.’s standards have been raised since its CEO is now world heavyweight champion.
World tag-team champions Frank Gotch and George Hackenschmidt d. the Triple Threat (w/ Don Leo Jonathan, Tammy) in a nontitle match. Chris Candido tried to get in a cheap shot on Frank Gotch before the bell rang, but Gotch turned it into an overhead wristlock. He later executed a perfect sunset flip to pin Candido.
Greg Valentine (w/ Jim Cornette) d. Buddy Rogers to earn a spot in War Games for BCW. The end came when Rogers threw Valentine into the turnbuckle, then charged in after him. Valentine moved, and Rogers went over the top rope and onto the floor. While Cornette distracted the ref, Valentine went to Rogers and gave him a piledriver onto the concrete floor. Rogers could not answer the 10-count, as his slump continues. He’ll now be wrestling for his BCW career at Invasion.
The Destroyer (w/ Nikita Breznikov, Nikolai Volkoff) d. Bobo Brazil to become the new U.S. heavyweight champion. The end came when the Destroyer got Brazil outside the ring, and he and Volkoff worked Brazil over while Breznikov distracted the ref. Then they threw him back into the ring, and the Destroyer slapped on the FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK to get the tap-out victory. Fans were booing afterward.

YEAR TWO, CARD 16
Kent State
Jim Cornette came to ringside with a big smile on his face and announced that his guys have two title matches – one for the tag belts and another for the U.S. belt. He bragged that it took some doing, but he secured the title shots, and he was on his way to becoming “the Manager of Champions.”
King Kong Bundy (w/ Bruiser Brody) d. Chris Candido (w/ Sunny, Justin Credible, Don Leo Jonathan) by DQ when Jonathan hit Bundy with a steel chair outside of the ring while Bundy was pursuing Candido. The match was somewhat sloppy, with Bundy showing some ring rust.
Buff Bagwell d. Iron Mike DiBiase by DQ when DiBiase tried to choke Bagwell out using a piece of rope at ringside. It came after Bagwell tried to eliminate DiBiase for good using a chair, but missed in his attempt.
Brutus Beefcake (w/ Buff Bagwell) d. Nick Bockwinkel (w/ Rick Rude, Bobby Heenan) when Bockwinkel was unable to answer the 10-count because Bagwell had given him a piledriver on the floor. However, while Beefcake was celebrating the victory, Rude entered the ring, gave him a piledriver, then the RUDE AWAKENING, injuring Beefcake before Bagwell could get back into the ring. Bockwinkel appeared to not be too badly injured. War seems to be brewing between Money Inc. and the Braintrust.
The Destroyer (w/ Nikita Breznikov, Nikolai Volkoff) retained the U.S. heavyweight title by defeating a former U.S. champ, Greg Valentine (w/ Jim Cornette), using his intelligent sleeper hold. The match was a good one, with both men getting in lots of offense, but the Destroyer held a slight advantage throughout.
Dan Severn d. Buddy Rogers by DQ when Rogers slammed Severn’s head into a pole, ruining what had been a great match before then between the two rivals. Both men got pin attempts, but in the end, Rogers’ losing ways continued.
George Hackenschmidt and Frank Gotch retained the world tag-team titles by defeating the Midnight Express (w/ Jim Cornette, Greg Valentine) when Lane succumbed to Hack’s RUSSIAN BEAR HUG. The Midnight Express had things going their way for a while and nearly pinned Gotch, but their bad luck continued. Cornette’s ploy to get title matches amounted to nothing.
Dick Hutton and Cowboy Bob Orton snared a spot in War Games by defeating the Flying Redheads in a good, long match that ended when Hutton pinned Red Bastien following an Oklahoma sideroll. The Flying Redheads will be fighting for their BCW careers at Invasion.
Ted DiBiase (w/ Money Inc.) d. Bob Orton Sr. (w/ Iron Mike DiBiase) 2-0 in a best-of-three-falls match to retain the world heavyweight championship. In the first fall, Orton Sr. was disqualified for slamming DiBiase to the concrete floor. In the second fall, DiBiase got Orton in the MILLION DOLLAR SLEEPER to get the victory. Afterward, Cowboy Bob Orton gave his woozy dad a wicked piledriver, seriously injuring him, while the other members of Money Inc. tied up Iron Mike DiBiase. His son slapped Iron Mike in the face and then laughed while holding up the title belt.

YEAR TWO, CARD 17
Bithloplex
Buddy Rogers came to ringside and admitted that his luck had not been good lately, then added he was still a four-time U.S. champ and not a sham champion like the Destroyer. Destroyer came out and offered to put Rogers in his place, even agreeing to make it a title shot. Rogers, of course, accepted.
Antonio Inoki, in his return from injury, d. Billy “Red” Lyons by DQ when Bob Orton Jr. and Richard Hutton came to ringside to beat down Inoki. Diamond Dallas Page, Konnan and Red Bastien came to make the save. DDP then called out Money Inc.’s CEO, Ted DiBiase, saying he was tired of the continuing attacks by Money Inc., and that DiBiase must be afraid he’s going to lose the world heavyweight title. DiBiase came out and laughed at DDP, then offered DDP a lumberjack match. If Page wins, he’ll get a legitimate title shot. But most likely, DiBiase said, Page will get the beatdown he deserves. DDP said he’ll be sure to bring a few friends with him. DiBiase just laughed.
Cowboy Bob Orton and Richard Hutton (w/ Virgil) d. the Triple Threat (w/ Tammy, Don Leo Jonathan) when Orton nailed a suplex on Chris Candido. Afterward, Jonathan looked unhappy about his team’s losing ways.
Bobo Brazil d. Rick Rude (w/ Bobby Heenan, Nick Bockwinkel) when he made Rude succumb to his grinding hammerlock. Rude’s end came as a surprise to Heenan and Bockwinkel, who didn’t realize he was in trouble until it was too late.
The Midnight Express (w/ Jim Cornette) d. Destruction Inc. when Bobby Eaton and Stan Lane pulled off a modified VEG-O-MATIC on King Kong Bundy. The Midnight Express escaped early trouble due to quick tags, despite being thrown around the ring at points by Bundy and Bruiser Brody. Just before the pin, Cornette nailed Bundy with his trusty loaded tennis racket during an in-ring scrum.
Nikolai Volkoff (w/ Nikita Breznikov) d. Mil Mascaras by DQ when Mascaras ran Volkoff into a steel post. Volkoff’s partner (and Mascaras’ ex-tag partner) the Destroyer came to ringside after the DQ to extract some revenge, but Mascaras left through the crowd.
The Destroyer (w/ Nikolai Volkoff, Nikita Breznikov) d. former U.S. champ Buddy Rogers by DQ to retain the U.S. heavyweight title. The match was a great one between two evenly matched competitors, with pin attempts on both sides, but Rogers was DQ’d for body-slamming the Destroyer onto the concrete floor outside the ring.
Buff Bagwell (w/ Cowboy Bob Orton, Richard Hutton, Virgil) d. Dan “the Beast” Severn (w/ Diamond Dallas Page, Konnan) when Severn was not able to answer a 10-count because Orton DDT’d him outside the ring while the referee was distracted by fighting between the two sides. Before that, there had been only one pin attempt in the match. Severn was furious when he recovered, but he’ll be wrestling for his BCW career at Invasion, while Bagwell secured a spot in War Games.
World heavyweight champion Ted DiBiase d. Diamond Dallas Page via DQ in a wild, nontitle lumberjack match when Antonio Inoki entered the ring and nailed DiBiase with an enzuigiri. The bizarre finish came after DiBiase fell over the turnbuckle and ended up outside the ring being pummeled by DDP’s lumberjacks. While that was going on, and the ref was trying to restore order, Buff Bagwell snuck into the ring and nailed DDP with a chair. When DiBiase finally got back into the ring, he slipped on the MILLION DOLLAR SLEEPER to finish off a dazed Page, only to have Inoki interfere. Inoki then made the sign of a belt, indicating he wanted his overdue title shot.

YEAR TWO, CARD 18
Eddie Graham Sports Stadium
Jimmy Snuka and B. Brian Blair d. the Flying Redheads when Snuka pinned Billy “Red” Lyons following a massive SUPERFLY LEAP. The losses continue to pile up for the Flying Redheads, who will be wrestling for their BCW careers in three cards.
Rikidozan returned from injury to d. Virgil using his THUNDEROUS CHOPS. He went right after Virgil at the bell and did not let up. But he also didn’t pin Virgil right away, making him suffer. Two of the Tokyo Three are back in action, with Giant Baba set to return on the next card. Obviously, Money Inc. and Ted DiBiase’s title are in their sights.
The Midnight Express (w/ Jim Cornette) d. the Barrio Boys by DQ when Jim Cornette got a cheap shot in on Konnan, then the ref saw Konnan retaliate by giving Cornette a sit-down face buster, prompting the DQ.
The Destroyer came to the ring and called out Buddy Rogers. He said he wanted a “last man standing” match with Rogers because the “Nature Boy” gave him a cheap shot and then was going around telling everyone that he would have beaten the Destroyer if not for the subsequent DQ. Rogers came out and said the Destroyer was not worth his time. The Destroyer countered by putting the U.S. heavyweight championship on the line as well. Rogers, of course, accepted.
In a stunning turn of events, Buddy Rogers became the U.S. champion for a record fifth time by defeating the Destroyer (w/ Nikita Breznikov, Nikolai Volkoff) in a last man standing match. Both men had runs at wearing down the other in a great match, but the end came when Volkoff tried to interfere to buy the Destroyer some time. Rogers threw him over the ropes and gave the Destroyer a piledriver. When the Destroyer couldn’t make the 10-count, Rogers got the belt, taking him out of an elimination match at Invasion. Breznikov was immediately calling for a rematch.
Buff Bagwell (w/ Virgil) d. Nick Bockwinkel (w/ Bobby Heenan) by DQ when Bockwinkel hit Bagwell outside of the ring with a chair in return for the piledriver he took from Bagwell in Bockwinkel’s match with Brutus Beefcake two cards ago. Afterward, Bockwinkel took out Virgil with the chair, then Heenan called out world heavyweight champion Ted DiBiase. Heenan said Bockwinkel would put Bagwell on the sidelines permanently if he didn’t get a title shot. DiBiase came out and agreed to take on Rick Rude in a nontitle match later in the card. If Rude won, he said a member of the Heenan Braintrust would get a title shot. Heenan agreed, and the pair left the ring as the rest of Money Inc. came down.
Frank Gotch and George Hackenschmidt retained the world tag-team titles by dispatching Richard Hutton and Cowboy Bob Orton in a long match in which both sides had their chances. Hutton and Orton pushed the champs as much as anyone, but Gotch got a second wind, snapped off some rolling kneebars on Hutton and got the pin.
In perhaps the longest match in BCW history, the Triple Threat (w/ Tammy, Don Leo Jonathan) stunned Destruction Inc. to gain a spot in War Games when Justin Credible nailed King Kong Bundy with a modified version of his THAT’S INCREDIBLE, aided by Jonathan’s help. Before the finish, the match seemingly went on for hours. Bundy and Bruiser Brody will fight for their BCW careers at Invasion.
Rick Rude (w/ Nick Bockwinkel, Bobby Heenan) d. world heavyweight champion Ted DiBiase (w/ Money Inc.) in a nontitle match when Rude nailed DiBiase with a clothesline, then Bockwinkel held DiBiase’s legs down – unseen by a distracted ref – while Rude got the pin, despite Money Inc.’s best attempts to interfere. Afterward, DiBiase said he’d keep his word and give a title shot to a member of the Braintrust – Bobby Heenan! Heenan looked stunned while DiBiase laughed.

YEAR TWO, CARD 19
Melbourne Auditorium
Could it be Bobby Heenan’s big day? A title shot for him is ahead.
Heenan came out with Ox Baker, who had returned from the injuries suffered at the hands of Ad Santel at Tag-o-Rama. Baker demanded to be put in a qualifying match for the Invasion PPV, saying that he wanted a shot at the BWF members at War Games. Heenan asked again that he be excused from his title match. Commissioner Richcreek came out and said, “Yes, and no.” He said that no way would Heenan be excused from the deal HE made. But Richcreek said he would let Baker have his qualifying match. Baker was happy, but Heenan was not. Richcreek also announced that the Destroyer and Buddy Rogers would meet in a cage on this card for the U.S. belt and to settle their feud.
Rick Rude (w/ Bobby Heenan) d. Giant Baba (w/ Rikidozan, Antonio Inoki) by DQ when Rikidozan and Inoki entered the ring to attack Rude when Baba was down. Rude was injured in the attack, which made an already-nervous Heenan even more apoplectic. Baba did not look fully recovered from his injury at the hands of Ted DiBiase and Richard Hutton.
Destruction Inc. d. the Triple Threat (w/ Tammy) when Bruiser Brody nailed Chris Candido with a piledriver. The Triple Threat had an advantage with Don Leo Jonathan and made several pin attempts, but couldn’t get the victory. Despite the revenge victory, Destruction Inc. will still be wrestling for their BCW careers at Invasion.
Nick Bockwinkel (w/ Bobby Heenan) d. Dan “the Beast” Severn by DQ when Severn body-slammed Bockwinkel outside the ring. The move came in retaliation for several cheap shots by Bockwinkel, including attacking Severn before Gary Michael Cappetta had finished the introductions. Jim Cornette came to the ring to watch the match, but left without interfering or comment.
Nikolai Volkoff (w/ Nikita Breznikov) d. Buff Bagwell (w/Virgil) by DQ when Bagwell nailed Volkoff outside the ring with a steel chair. Bagwell and Volkoff wrestled a long match, as Bagwell looked to be trying to prove that he belonged in the upcoming War Games.
Bill Apter interviewed Greg Valentine on Apter’s “Hot Seat.” When Apter started asking why Valentine and the Midnight Express had not been more successful, Valentine began getting upset, and then went after Apter. Out came the Boogie Woogie Man – Jimmy Valiant, a former teammate of Valentine’s in V for Victory. Valiant stopped the attack and challenged Valentine to a match on the next card.
The Barrio Boys d. Cowboy Bob Orton and Richard Hutton when Diamond Dallas Page nailed Orton with the Diamond Cutter while Konnan took out Hutton outside the ring, extracting a little revenge in their mini war with Money Inc.
The Destroyer d. Buddy Rogers in a cage match to regain the U.S. heavyweight title. The finish came when the Destoyer slapped on his FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK and Rogers was forced to submit. He continued to pummel Rogers after the match and rammed him into the cage wall. Rogers was a bloody, injured mess, and will not likely be able to wrestle at Invasion, where, having lost the U.S. title, his BCW career was again to be on the line.
Jimmy Snuka (w/ B. Brian Blair) d. Ox Baker (w/ Bobby Heenan, Nick Bockwinkel) by DQ to earn a spot in War Games. Baker, returning from injury, was DQ’d for losing focus and ramming Snuka into a chair and a table outside the ring. Heenan was aghast at how his night was going – he lost Rick Rude to injury, and now he might lose Baker at Invasion. Plus, he was up next to wrestle Ted DiBiase!
Ted DiBiase (w/ Money Inc.) retained his world heavyweight title by defeated Bobby “The Brain” Heenan (w/ Nick Bockwinkel, Ox Baker) 2-0 in a best-of-three title match. It went pretty much as expected, with DiBiase using the MILLION DOLLAR SLEEPER to get the first pin and an elbow off the ropes to record the second pin, while Money Inc. made sure the Braintrust did not interfere.

YEAR TWO, CARD 20
Bithloplex
As the card began, various BWF stars were seen in the audience, apparently scouting their opponents ahead of the Invasion PPV. Then King Kong Bundy came out and said that if this was going to be his last night in BCW, then he wanted one more match against Money Inc. Richard Hutton came out to accept the challenge.
Richard Hutton (w/ Buff Bagwell, Cowboy Bob Orton, Virgil) d. King Kong Bundy (w/ Bruiser Brody) by DQ when Bundy rammed Hutton’s head into a steel post outside the ring, causing the BWF stars to cheer, since Hutton is a part of War Games. The rest of Money Inc. seemed ready to gang up on Bundy, but with he and Brusier Brody standing side by side, they changed their plans and retreated.
The Braintrust (w/ Bobby Heenan) d. Jimmy Snuka and B. Brian Blair when Nick Bockwinkel took out Blair with his BOCKWINKEL SLEEPER. The BWF stars jeered Ox Baker, since Ad Santel injured him at Tag-o-Rama. Heenan kept him from going into the stands as the BWF guys sang, “Hey, hey, hey, goodbye!” because Baker failed to make the War Games roster and will be wrestling for his career at Invasion.
Greg Valentine (w/ Jim Cornette, Midnight Express) d. the “Boogie Woogie Man” Jimmy Valiant using his FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK. The key point in the match came when Valentine looked to be DQ’d for ramming Valiant into a post outside the ring, only to have Cornette and the Midnight Express distract the ref. Valentine then kept the advantage for the rest of the match.
In a nontitle bout, U.S. champ the Destroyer (w/ Nikita Breznikov) lost to Mil Mascaras by DQ. The two had a quite the exchange going, and both had numerous chances to get a decisive edge but failed to do so. Finally, they were on the outside of the ring when the Destroyer hit his former tag-team partner with a chair. While Mascaras was down, Breznikov hit him with the U.S. title belt, then the Destoyer gave him a few more chair shots. Mascaras had to be carted off on a stretcher, while the Destroyer pointed at BWF Intercontinental champ Jesse Ventura and yelled, “You’re next!” The Destoyer put two wrestlers out of action in the past two cards.
Giant Baba (w/ Antonio Inoki) d. Bobo Brazil via DQ when Brazil slammed him to the ground outside the ring. Brazil was trying to catch a break after Giant Baba had dominated most of the offense in the match.
World heavyweight champion Ted DiBiase came out and said he needed a warmup match before taking on BWF champ Yokozuna at Invasion. He called out Diamond Dallas Page, saying he must be feeling cocky since taking down Cowboy Bob Orton with a Diamond Cutter at the last card. DiBiase said he would knock some sense into DDP. Page accepted the nontitle bout.
World tag team champions Frank Gotch and George Hackenschmidt d. the Flying Redheads in a nontitle match when Gotch got Billy “Red” Lyons to submit to the GOTCH TOEHOLD. Bobby Heenan tried to talk to the champions afterward, but they just ignored him. They also ignored comments from their War Games opponents, Scott Hall and Kevin Nash.
Rikidozan (w/ Giant Baba, Antonio Inoki) d. Nikolai Volkoff (w/ Nikita Breznikov, Destroyer) by DQ in a brutal match to secure the final spot in War Games. The finish came when both men were outside the ring and Volkoff hit Rikidozan with a chair given to him by Breznikov. Both had several pin attempts in the ring during the match. Afterward, a gong sounded, and everything went dark except for a spotlight on the BWF’s Undertaker! He will be Rikidozan’s opponent in a casket match at War Games.
Diamond Dallas Page d. world heavyweight champion Ted DiBiase by DQ in a nontitle bout. DDP nailed DiBiase with two DIAMOND CUTTERS, and on the second one, the members of Money Inc. hit the ring. This brought down the members of the BWF, who were looking to get in some cheap shots. But numerous BCW wrestlers came out of the locker room, backing down the BWF stars and setting the stage for the next card -- the Invasion PPV and War Games.

YEAR TWO, CARD 21
Invasion PPV – Daytona Beach Oceanfront Center
The event started with Don Muraco officially entering BCW due to Buddy Rogers’ injury. Commissioner Richcreek said that when Rogers comes back from injury, he’ll face Muraco one on one. If Rogers loses, he’s gone. Muraco will stay either way.
The Italian Stallions d. the Flying Redheads by DQ to snare a spot in BCW. The end came when Antonino Rocca and Red Bastien were brawling outside the ring, only to have a frustrated Billy “Red” Lyons nail Rocca from behind with a chair. Former tag champion Bastien is gone after being a founding member of BCW.
Killer Kowalski returned to BCW by stunning Dan “The Beast” Severn via his stomach claw maneuver, which came out of nowhere. The commissioner’s enforcement director, a former U.S. champ, is gone.
The Gorgeous Playboys (w/ Sherri Martel, Cherie Dupree) d. Destruction Inc. by DQ when Martel lured Bruiser Brody into a brawl with Playboy Buddy Rose outside the ring while Dupree kept the ref distracted long enough to miss Rose’s cheap shot but see Brody use a chain on Rose. Brody and King Kong Bundy are now gone from BCW, and former BCW members Rose and Gorgeous George are back.
Ox Baker (w/ Nick Bockwinkel, Bobby Heenan) d. Ed “Strangler” Lewis to retain his spot in BCW. The end came after Baker had given Lewis a series of backbreakers and Lewis rolled to the outside. While Heenan distracted the ref, Bockwinkel gave Lewis a piledriver on the concrete, and Lewis could not answer the 10-count.
The Crusher d. Nikolai Volkoff (w/ Nikita Breznikov) via DQ to snare a spot in BCW. He looked to have Volkoff pinned earlier after a CRUSHER BOLO, but Breznikov distracted the ref long enough for Volkoff to kick out. The two then ended up outside the ring, and Volkoff was disqualified for using brass knuckles that Breznikov had slipped to him.
Overall, seven new faces join BCW!
THE WAR GAMES -- BCW vs. BWF
In a falls count anywhere match (worth two points), Lex Luger d. Buff Bagwell after putting him in the HUMAN TORTURE RACK. Bagwell had injured himself earlier in the match when he ran into the turnbuckle. BWF leads, 2-0.
In a chain match (worth two points), Greg Valentine beat Doink the Clown to a bloody pulp after wrapping the chain around his hand and unleashing a number of Valentine chops. Doink finally tapped out. War Games is tied, 2-2.
In a last man standing match (worth three points), Jimmy Snuka d. Ad Santel when he piledrove Santel outside the ring and Santel was unable to answer the 10-count. The match had been pretty even before that. Other wrestlers had to restrain Ox Baker from running out during the match to injure Santel, as it would have disqualified Snuka. BCW leads, 5-2.
In a coffin match (worth three points), the Undertaker d. Rikidozan. It was a great match. Rikidozan dominated the match early, but was unable to get the Undertaker into the coffin. Eventually, the Undertaker took control, unleashed some TOMBSTONE PILEDRIVERS on Rikidozan, then stuffed him into the coffin for the victory. War Games is tied, 5-5.
In an eight-man elimination match (worth four points), the team of Richard Hutton, Cowboy Bob Orton, Justin Credible and Chris Candido d. the team of Bam Bam Bigelow, Superstar Billy Graham, Tom Jenkins and Abyss. Bigelow was DQ’s for trying to use a chair on Hutton. Hutton pinned Graham after a cowboy backbreaker. Jenkins pinned Orton using his FULL NELSON CRADLE. Credible pinned Abyss after hitting a superkick out of nowhere. Finally, Hutton pinned Jenkins using his ABDOMINAL STRETCH. BCW leads, 9-5.
In a ladder match (worth five points), Intercontinental champ Jesse Ventura d. U.S. heavyweight champ the Destroyer. Ventura surprisingly dominated the match, using his size and weight advantages to slam the Destroyer repeatedly into the ladder. Finally, he climbed the ladder and grabbed the symbolic belt while the Destoyer was slow to recover. The BWF leads, 10-9.
In a lumberjack tag match (worth six points), BCW tag-team champions Frank Gotch and George Hackenschmidt d. BWF tag-team champions Scott Hall and Kevin Nash when Nash submitted to Gotch’s TOEHOLD. The match saw both Hackenschmidt and Nash get pummeled by the opposing lumberjacks while outside the ring. BCW regains the lead, 15-10.
In a steel cage match (worth seven points), BCW world heavyweight champion Ted “The Million Dollar Man” DiBiase d. BWF world champion Yokozuna. Both men were bloodied and dodged pin attempts, but DiBiase was finally able to hook on his MILLION DOLLAR SLEEPER and make it pay. BCW wins the event, 22-10!

YEAR TWO, CARD 22
Jacksonville Auditorium
World heavyweight champion Ted DiBiase came to ringside to brag about his win at Invasion’s War Games over Yokozuna. Since he secured the win for BCW, he was taking the night off to celebrate. He did say that his Money Inc employees – Bob Orton and Richard Hutton – would be tag champs by the end of the night. Then Iron Mike DiBiase came out and said he might have lost Orton’s father due to injury, but he hadn’t stopped his effort to bring his son’s empire down. He introduced his new group – the Boogie Woogie Boys (Boogie Woogie Jimmy Valiant, Bobo Brazil and the Crusher). Ted DiBiase just laughed at his dad, then left.
Antonino Rocca d. Rick Rude (w/ Nick Bockwinkel, Bobby Heenan) by DQ when Bockwinkel nailed Rocca outside the ring with a chair. Before that, it was a great match mostly controlled by Rocca.
Rikidozan and Antonio Inoki d. the Money Boys when Inoki caught Brutus Beefcake (who was returning from injury) with his ENZUIGIRI. The Tokyo Three continue to target Money Inc.
The Crusher (w/ the Boogie Woogie Man) d. Virgil (w/ Money Boys) by DQ when the Money Boys entered the ring and attacked the Crusher as he was about to unleash his CRUSHER BOLO PUNCH on Virgil. The Money Inc. members fled when the Boogie Woogie Man got into the ring.
Playboy Buddy Rose (w/ Gorgeous George, Cherie Dupree and Sherri) d. Giant Baba (w/ Rikidozan, Antonio Inoki) by DQ when Baba bashed him outside the ring in a matchup of the original two contestants for the BCW heavyweight title. Apparently, there is still heat between them.
Ox Baker (w/ Bobby Heenan, Nick Bockwinkel) d. Ilio DiPaolo by countout when DiPaolo was piledriven outside the ring by Bockwinkel while the ref was distracted by Heenan.
Bobo Brazil and Iron Mike DiBiase (w/ Crusher, Jimmy Valiant) d. the Triple Threat (w/ Tammy, Don Leo Jonathan) when DiBiase pinned Chris Candido when a series of hard punches led to a surprise finish.
Killer Kowalski d. Diamond Dallas Page (w/ Konnan) using his CLAW HOLD. Kowalski looked to be in great shape in his return to BCW.
George Hackenschmidt and Frank Gotch d. Cowboy Bob Orton and Richard Hutton in a great match to retain the world tag-team titles. During the match, Virgil, the Money Boys and world heavyweight champion Ted DiBiase came to ringside, and Virgil distracted the ref during a key moment. But about the time Money Inc. was set to really interfere, down to ringside came the Tokyo Three and the Boogie Woogie Boys. The members of Money Inc. backed down, and Hackenschmidt eventually got Orton to succumb to the RUSSIAN BEAR HUG.

Good card. I like the tag team champions of Frank Gotch and George Hackenschmidt, I think it is cool how you are teaming them up.
