The AWA has broke away from the LWF and is starting it's own promotion based in Denver , Colorado.

The AWA has signed thirty two wrestlers to it's roster and will work shows in the Rocky mountain area. States in the AWA will include Colorado , Utah , Nevada , Arizona , New Mexico , Wyoming , South Dakota.
It has also acquired a working agreement with both New Japan and All-Japan wrestlings.

From the opening bell Frank Gotch looked very confused running around like a man with his hair on fire putting everyone he came across in his ankle lock not understanding why he was winning when people were tapping. Towards the end Ray Stevens looked like a man possessed eliminating 3 men in a row and 4 overall and just when it looked like the Crippler was gonna win it he was low bridged from the outside by Ted Dibiase which left Curt Hennig standing alone in the ring.

Dan Severn came out like a house on fire throwing out three straight one being the massive King Kong Bundy. After Sabu eliminated The Sheik , The Sheik threw a fireball at Sabu from the ring apron which missed and hit Severn. This prompted Sabu to do a suicide leap from the top rope onto the Sheik on the arena floor thus eliminating himself. Steve Corino looked awesome surviving till the end only to be eliminated by The Ravishing one.

Bill Apter caught up with Ted Dibiase in the dressing room ;

Apter : Why'd you interfere by low bridging the top rope and costing Ray Stevens the match ?
Dibiase : That low SOB hit me with some kind of oject he pulled from his tights and cost me the match!!! So I thought I would return the favor.
Apter : But.............

Just then Dibiase is attacked from the back by Stevens who after several minutes of merciless beat down Stevens picks Dibiase up and pile-drives him on the concrete floor.

Stevens turns to Apter

After his partner went out #2 The Crippler became a man on a mission. He eliminated 7 on route to winning and 11 overall in both battle royals he was involved in. An injured Dan Severn subbed for Ted Dibiase who was on his way to the hospital with maybe broken neck.

Gordon Solie was joined at the announcers table by the manager of the Sheik and Sabu.

Gordon : Welcome Mr. Farouk
Farouk : Thank you Mr. Solieeeee........
Gordon : How can you manage two such wild men and hope to keep them as a team when it's clear they can't get along?

Just then it's shown on the monitor The Sheik and Sabu are fighting in the parking lott

Dan 'The Beast' Severn has left the promotion, instead of pursuing legal action the AWA has torn up his contract and has stated he can NEVER again work there.
Diamond Dallas Page has officially retired from active wrestling and will be the manager of the Jersey Giants.
This opens two roster spots but no one has been named as of this posting as replacements.

After several minutes of whacking them both repeatedly in the head. The man stops turns to the camera raises his kendo stick over his head and pulls a beer out of his pocket ,pops the tab and pours it into his mouth and then bashes himself in the head with the can.

Tricky Nick attacked Hennig , Stevens recovered to join in but then they got noggin knockered sending Bockwinkel out of the ring. Hennig then clotheslined Heenan off the apron and hit a PERFECT Hennig Plex on Stevens to win the match. WOW! ****

Rude won the first fall quick with a pin after a Rude Awakening.
In the second fall Tommy Young got knocked out after a leap off the top by Corino. Corino had two pin covers BUT THERE WAS NO REF. Finally after several minutes Billy O ran down to the ring and started a three count on Rude after Corino hit an OLDSCHOOL EXPULSION, Sherri jumped up on the ring apron and distracted the easily distracted Billy O allowing Rude to recover enough to grab Corino's tights and roll him up for a quick three count. ***3/4
