Bloodline did mine too, Bazzy, and in his rookie year. That and his attacking Star Warrior helped him get over big time.

Were there any specific rules to determine who/how, or did Tom simply say "Kill him off this game year however you want"?

Were there any specific rules to determine who/how, or did Tom simply say "Kill him off this game year however you want"? When the Dreadnaught "death" card debuts, i can't remember the year, it had instruction to roll when you hit a certain # on L3D...you would roll two dice and then the go to the "Death" options to see what happened...Tom then modified the death Options in the next handbook to make it easier for Dreadnaught to die, if he somehow survived the year his "death" card debuted... I am sure some of the GWF Historians (Read that: Trivia Geniuses) could tell you the exact years...

Dreadnaught went to that "great wrestling ring in the sky" on Feb. 5, 2003 while defending the GWF Heavyweight title against Archon in my promotion after Archon used a chicken wing suplex on him.

In my fed there were many times he was close to death but I feel lucky that he never actually died... =) I love Comrade Terror/Dreadnaught and very pleased he lived through it all. In my federation he was suspended due to old age.

2112 and still kicking, literally im about to schedule some matches w/ Encubus though. i think it'd be a great way for the son of the greatest wrestler in history to have a huge impact his debut year. remember too Dreadnaught and Thantos were teammates in the beginning

Dreadnaught survived some brutal wars in his later years, including facing 3 Gladiators in 1 night! He even went at it with Mensar in a tables match.
Finally, I used him to put over Endgame in EG's debut. The result, EG killed Dreadnaught in 15 seconds (can't remember which move)! I ended up pushing Endgame from then on as a heel who thought he was getting disrespected. Worked pretty well until I discovered LOW ,and haven't played a GWF card since (sorry, Tom).
Take care,
Jay

Were there any specific rules to determine who/how, or did Tom simply say "Kill him off this game year however you want"? As Pete indicated, Tom slowly changes the rules for Dreadnaught's card so that it would be easier and easier for him to die and then finally.... From Revelations 2115: "This will be the final listing for Dreadnaught. After 2115, it will be officially assumed that he has died in the ring during a match."

For me it was the debut of Corporal Aegis. It was one of his few wins in the GWF for me.

In my neck of the woods it was Genecide who did the dirty deed on Centra in 2111.

Pegasus was the last match old Dreadnuaght had in my fed before dying in the ring afterwards. Pegasus never got over killing Naught and it haunted him in my fed until he retired.

Justice. His sometimes partner sometimes rival..
When the GWF was in Centra, Justice destroyed him in a hardcore match.

I'm in April of 2109 and Dreadnaught just died tonight in a match against fellow Cygnus wrestler Maelstrom.

Taechon, who was already a misfit in the GWF with no real friends or reputation to speak of, killed Dreadnaught one night in the ring in one of his only GWF victories. Despite best efforts to gain some kind of following among the fans, Taechon was only shunned further after this incident. Dreadnaught was seen as an example of hardcore dedication to the sport in my fed, and at the end of the year, Taechon's contract was up, never to be heard from again.

That's a pretty cool and interesting angle with Dreadnaught/Taechon. It makes good sense...

Swarm did the dirty deed with the Beekeeper backbreaker (backbreaker using the steps outside) at Cygnus field right in front of Dread's people.A riot broke out and the rest of the card was canceled. After that Swarm was billed as The Deadly Swarm ,like it or not. Cygnus will hate him forever. Also, for a while afterward I gave the move that did it a add 1 because it was so feared .
