Over the past 3 days I have completed the 3 card "Galaxian Wrestling Classic" which was the official kickoff of my GWF promotion.
Here are the results:
Card 001 held at the Alpha Centauri Colonnade Centaurus
Opening matches: The Fighting Titans def. The Troubleshooters when Payback pinned Muss following a table splash.....Switchblade downed the Amazing Mann by pinfall following "Blade of Retribution".....Valour got past Tanck, pinning the powerful villain after a series of "Valour thrusts"....The Gladiators made quick work of Minotaur & Antak, beating the young Animen by pinfall following "Atheran Atrocity" on Antak....
GWF Championship Tournament Round 1: Disaster crushed American Guy, pinning Andrews after a pair of sick "Gladiator Piledrivers"....Tauran scored a rapid victory over Killprey, pinning the huntsman after an "Equuleus Spinebuster"....Bloodline overcame Encubus his former ally, pinning the son of GWF legend Thantos after a "Shining Star".....Endgame humbled Epoch, pinning the Colonizer leader following a "Northern Lights Bomb" (despite interference by Slavebeast).
Card 002 held at the Cathedral of the Swirling Mists Orion, Ring Nebula, Opening matches: Encubus & Sly Drury downed Stars & Stripes when Encubus forced U.S. male to submit to the "Maffei Masterlock"....Tanck beat Switchblade by pinfall following an "underhook powerbomb"....Endgame defeated The Betrayer by pinfall following an "Michinoku Driver"....Bloodline wrestled Epoch to a time limit draw....
GWF Tag Team Championship Tournament Round 1: The Troubleshooters got past Valour & Reckless when Muss pinned Reckless following a deathjump.....The Gladiators bested the Fighting Titans when Havoc pinned Tristan following "Aethran Atrocity" and a failed save attempt by Payback.
Card 003 held at the Tokyo Dome, Earth
Opening matches: Anivar, & The Fighting Titans defeated The Greatest Show In The Galaxy in an exciting 6-man match-up when Anivar pinned Steele freak following a Senton Bomb.....American Guy overcame a slow start to beat Encubus by pinfall following a "Peacemaker Slingshot"....Valour beat Tanck by disqualification.....Switchblade battled Sly Drury to a time limit draw.....The Colonizers grabbed a victory over Swarm & Minotaur when Epoch pinned Minotaur following a successful double team and a failed pin save attempt by Swarm.....
Singles Tournament semi-finals: Tauran upset Disaster, pinning the Gladiator following a "gutbuster body drop" with only seconds remaining in regulation.....Bloodline won a brilliant technical encounter against fellow heroic grappler Endgame, pinning the warrior from Corvus after the "Cosmic Big Bang"....
Tag Team Tournament Final: The Gladiators defeated The Troubleshooters to become GWF Tag Team champions after Havoc pinned Muss following "Aethran Atrocity" (this occured after a blown "Trouble Times Two")....
Singles Tournament Final: Tauran defied the odds to become the GWF Heavyweight Champion by pinning Bloodline following outside interference by Encubus. Bloodline had just nailed Tauran with the "Cosmic Big Bang" when Encubus jumped up on the ring apron and distracted Bloodline. Bloodline immediately went after his former ally, as match official Phillip Haas went to check on the downed Tauran. With the referee's back turned, Encubus threw some sort of powdery substance in Bloodline's face and then nailed him with brass knuckles, sending the young hero to the mat. Once Tauran recovered he saw Bloodline down and went for the pin. Haas made the 3-count and awarded the championship to Tauran, as Encubus made a rapid retreat from ringside.
After the Event: after the Tokyo Dome event was finished, Tauran was told about Encubus' role in his victory. Enraged, the new GWF champion was prepared to give back the title belt and set a rematch to determine the GWF Heavyweight champion, however due to the rules of the tournament this was not possible and Tauran is the official GWF heavyweight champion. He has since spoken with both Bloodline and Commissioner Massif and has made known his plans to give Bloodline the first shot at the GWF title, later this month. Tauran has also demanded a match against Encubus (non-title).
Continuity I purposely failed to mention specific dates for these 3 cards which combined to make the Galaxian Wrestling Classic. That way I have some wiggle room for holding a second pay-per-view style event this month. Since the next supercard (Spring Stampede) is happening in August, 2119. I'd speculate that the GWC occured between January and April of 2119.
