(Outside the arena a super cruiser pulls up. Out steps DARK MENACE followed by MONOLITH. A page runs up to the cruiser.)
PAIGE: Good evening Gentlemen. Monolith, sir you're in locker room 27B.
DARK MENACE: Insolent Cur, you do not speak to Monolith. You speak to me and are grateful every moment we let you live.
PAIGE: Y-y-y-es s-s-sir.
DARK MENACE: Now tell me, what time does Monolith get to wrestler Endgame?
PAIGE: Endgame sir?
DARK MENACE: Idiot! You are standing in the presence of the future of the GWF. What time does he get his Championship Match against Endgame?
PAIGE: Sir, Mr. Monolith is not wrestling Endgame tonight.
MONOLITH: Grrrrrrrr.
DARK MENACE: I'll handle this. Now listen to me, Monolith is in the main even tonight, yes?
PAIGE: Yes, sir.
DARK MENACE: And he's wrestling for the GWF HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP against Endgame, right?
PAIGE: Uh no, actually sir, he's not. This is the annual Rookie Brawl. This is where all the new wrestlers debut against each other.
MONOLITH: ROOKIE?! I AM A ROOKIE? (MONOLITH raises his fist and brings it down on the hood of the super cruiser, smashing it.)
DARK MENACE: WHO IS HE WRESTLING?!
PAIGE (LOOKS AT CLIPBOARD): Um, Dead Ringer, sir.
(With a growl of rage, MONOLITH flips the super cruiser over.)
DARK MENACE: Monolith has to waste his time with a two bit mid carder from the AniMen team? Who made this idiotic match?
PAIGE: Well, umm, Commissioner Massif did sir.
DARK MENACE: I see. Well, I guess we have to play by the rules then. Get out of our way peon.
(MONOLITH and DARK MENACE pass by the PAIGE who swallows nervously.)
OPENING CREDITS
Sultana d. Mother Superior by DQ when Mother Superior refused to stop brawling outside the ring. - *1/2

(We are in the locker room of The AniMen. ANTAK is taking up for his match. In the background the shower is running. There's a knock on the door. ANTAK answers and in walks the PAIGE with a bouquet of water lillies.)
ANTAK: Blimey, what is this?
PAIGE: Delivery for Plethador.
ANTAK: Oh right, you've got to be kidding me. Hey! Fish breath! You got a delivery.
(The shower stops and Plethador enters wrapped in a towel.)
PLETHADOR: Oh hey, water lillies, my favorite! Who sent these?
PAIGE: I don't know sir, they were left in the office. There's a card though.
PLETHADOR: Ah good. (PLETHADOR takes the card off the flowers and opens it. He reads it and smiles.)
ANTAK: Well, what does it say?
PLETHADOR: It says, "Hey Sexy, good luck with your match tonight. I'll be watching. XOXO An Admirer."
ANTAK: Oh brother.
PLETHADOR: Mmmm I bet these are from Phantasy. She's been giving me the eye recently.
ANTAK: Oh really? When? In between snogging American Guy all day?
PLETHADOR: Oh don't be jealous, just because I've got the skin the ladies want to play slip and slide on.
ANTAK: I think I'm gonna be sick. Get you're gear, we're on.
(ANTAK & PLETHADOR head to the ring.)
DIVIDED WE FALL d. Antak & Plethador by pinfall with the GAMEMASTER DDT. Plethador seemed awfully distracted during this match, he kept looking around the ringside area for his admirer. - ***
Monolith d. Dead Ringer by DQ when She Devil interfered in the match. Monolith had a rough time getting going in this match and Dead Ringer was on offense much of the time. Dark Menace was much dismayed. - ***

FADE IN
(We see Commissioner Massif's door at the arena. It is closed. The camera pans back and MONOLITH is standing outside, leaning against the wall. Waiting. The door opens and DARK MENACE comes out. Closes the door and looks up at MONOLITH.)
MONOLITH: Well?
DARK MENACE: Not good. He says he won't give you a title shot until you prove yourself.
(MONOLITH turns and places both hands on the wall.)
DARK MENACE: Don't worry.
MONOLITH: (Growls.)
DARK MENACE: I said, don't worry. There are other ways.
(MONOLITH rears back and punches the wall with both fists. He turns sharply to DARK MENACE, stares at him and walks out of frame. When he's gone we see that he has punched a whole through the concrete wall. The PAIGE is standing there covered in concrete dust. DARK MENACE looks at him and PAIGE looks back.)
DARK MENACE: You may want to clean this mess up.
(DARK MENACE walks out of frame.)
CUT TO: SHOW INTRO

(ANTAK is once again taping up and the shower is once again running. A knock is heard.)

(The PAIGE enters, still covered in concrete dust. He holds a large heart shaped candy box.)
ANTAK: Oh no. Not again.
PAIGE: Delivery for Plethador.
ANTAK: Plethador! (Pause.) HEY PLETHADOR!
PLETHADOR: WHAT? I'M IN THE SHOWER!
ANTAK: I know you're in the shower! You've got another delivery.
(The shower shuts off immediately. PLETHADOR is instantly in the room, slipping as he enters. He drips all over everything and everyone.)
ANTAK: Hey watch it, you're getting my trunks wet!
PLETHADOR (Ripping the box of chocolates from the PAIGE): Oooh goodie, candy! (He rips open the box. There's a card.) "Dear Plethy, Even though you did not win, I'm still in love with your sweet little grin. These chocolate covered Miner Grubs will be tasty to bite, And may you have better luck tonight." Chocolate Covered Miner Grubs! My favorite. (He grabs a handful and shoves them in his mouth as he walks out of frame and we hear the shower begin to run again.)
ANTAK: Absolutely disgusting.
(ANTAK slowly realizes that the PAIGE is still in the room. He turns and looks at him. The PAIGE smiles and holds out his hand. ANTAK regards him for a second and sighs. He then reaches into his pocket to pull out money for a tip.)

(The screen is pitch black. Suddenly there's a brilliant flash of fire and we see a torch lit. As the lens flare fades we see the face of a wrinkled little man.)
MAN: Tonight. Tonight is the first step on the road. A road that will lead the GWF and everyone in it to their ruin so a new era of wrestler will rule supreme. Tonight, this man here...
(Camera pans back to show NOSFERA standing, grinning wickedly at the camera.)
MAN (Continuing): Will win his match against Endgame. By pinfall or submission and Massif has declared. When he does that, he'll get his GWF Title Rematch and become the GWF Heavyweight Champion. Then we will rule the GWF. Now, you may be asking yourself, how do I know all this? Because, I know all. I am the warning of things to come. I am Omen.
(OMEN waves his torch and NOSFERA belches our a brilliant blue flame that engulfs the camera.)

FADE IN: A trailer out back of the arena. The door is closed, but loud music is coming from inside. US MALE comes walking up and pounds on the door. No answer. He runs his hands through his hair. Waits a second. Then pounds louder on the door. A muffled voice comes out from inside and the sound of shuffling can be heard. The door opens. A few empty beer cans come tumbling out. AMERICAN GUY stands there in boxers emblazoned with the American Flag on them.
AMERICAN GUY: Dude. This is so uncool. If the Trailer is rocking, don't come knocking.
U.S. MALE: I just thought we should try to come up with a little strategy for our match tonight. You know, since we lost our first match of the tournement.
AMERICAN GUY: Yeah yeah. Look Phantasy and I have been working on a strategy. (He shouts back into the trailer.) Isn't that right baby?
PHANTASY (from inside the trailer): Mmm you said it baby! hurry up I want to strategize some more.
AMERICAN GUY: You see?
U.S. MALE: Yeah, well maybe you want to let me in on the strategy?
AMERICAN GUY: Yeah, we're friends and all, but I'm not down with that whole free love thing. Look, the strategy for our match tonight is simple. We kick their ass and then win. Now if you'll excuse me.
(AMERICAN GUY closes the door and a giggle is heard from within. U.S. MALE stomps off.)

Anivar had to be taken from the ring on a stretcher. Doctors report he'll be out for 8 cards due to injuries suffered. Commissioner Massif surprised a lot of people by refusing to hand down suspensions to Trick, Scimitar and Slave-Beast. - ***

FADE IN: THE GLADIATORS DRESSING ROOM.
(PARALYZE is on his Portable Com Device. RAGE sits lacing his boots.)
PARALYZE: Look, just give me your best estimate. I see. Okay. (PARALYZE closes the Com Device and stands there silently.)
RAGE: Well?
PARALYZE throws the Come Device against the lockers as hard as he can shattering it instantly into powder.
PARALYZE: Two cards. That's how long Disaster will be out. Monolith will pay for this disgrace. What kind of so called "warrior" attacks from behind?
RAGE: Alright, let's focus that energy on tonight's match.
PARALYZE (Still Seething): Right. Right. Who do we have tonight?
RAGE: Antak & Plethador.
PARALYZE (Stands deadpan and then a small smirk appears on his face): This is going to be fun.

CUT TO: ANIMEN DRESSING ROOM.
(The shower is running. Antak is shadow boxing a bit. There's a knock on the door. The shower instantly turns off and PLETHADOR comes sprinting out of the shower, slips on the wet floor and goes sailing into the lockers. ANTAK watches as PLETHADOR slams into them and then falls out of frame to the floor.)
ANTAK (After a pause): Come in.
(The PAIGE comes in with a big box wrapped in a ribbon.)
PAIGE: Sorry to bother you. Another delivery.
ANTAK: Put it over there.
(The PAIGE steps over PLETHADOR and places the box on the table. He steps back over PLETHADOR, wiping his hands on his pants. He turns when he gets to the door. He holds out his hand.)
ANTAK (Regards the PAIGE for a second.): WILL YOU GET OUT OF HERE!!
(The PAIGE nearly runs into the door jam as he frantically tries to get out of the room. ANTAK stands there watching as he scrambles out and slams the door. He looks down at PLETHADOR and then, stepping over him, crosses to the present.)
ANTAK: Lookie here Plethador, there's a card. Shall I read it?
(There's a weak moan from the floor.)
ANTAK: Right then. (ANTAK opens the card and clears his throat.) 'Tonight you have the match of your life against The Gladiators. I wish you nothing but the best. Have you figured out who I am yet? A hint is that I'm a GWF Ladies Superstar and I'm better than the rest.' (ANTAK replaces the card.) Aw. How sweet. I wonder what's in here. (He picks up the box and notices that it's oozing green slime at the bottom. He quickly sets it back down.) I'll let you open it. Come one, we're next.
PLETHADOR was still woozy when him and ANTAK got to the ring. ANTAK just shoved him through the ropes and into the waiting arms and fists of THE GLADIATORS.
THE GLADIATORS d. Antak & Plethador by pinfall with a flying arm bar. - **** After the match, PARALYZE grabbed the microphone.
PARALYZE: Monolith. Listen to me. You are a coward. Cowards attack from behind and that's what you did. Now Disaster is out for two cards. But he'll be back in time for SHOCKWAVE. So here's what I propose. You and MASTER RACE vs. US and DIsaster in an AETHRAN ULTIMATE ESCAPE MATCH. Let's see you bring your version of the GLadiator Piledriver and see how it does in the cage. FADE IN - SHANN-RA'S DRESSING ROOM DOOR
(A hand comes into frame and knocks on the door. There is no answer. The hand knocks again. The door swings open and SHANN-RA stands there with a puzzled look on her face when she sees who it is.)
SHANN-RA: Vhat do you vant?
(The camera pans back to reveal PLETHADOR as the one who knocked. He puts his hand up on the door jam in a very cocky manner.)
PLETHADOR: Hello there hot stuff. I just wanted to say thanks for all the gifts you gave me and let you know that I feel exactly the same way. I knew a woman of you, incredible beauty would be madly attracted to a physical specimen as amazing as me.
(There is an awkward silence. SHANN-RA has NO idea what PLETHADOR is talking about. She regard him for a second and then slams the door. PLETHADOR winces a little at the slamming but then calmly knocks again on the door. SHANN-RA tears the door open again.)
SHANN-RA: VHAT?!?!
PLETHADOR (Clears Throat): Umm...nothing. You just slammed my fingers in the door. I'll be going now.
(SHANN-RA watches him quickly walk off frame. After a minute we hear a piercing scream. SHANN-RA smirks and closes the door.)

(SHANN-RA then took the microphane and hit ROTUNDA squarely across the face and left the ring. Rotunda was helped out, best he could anyway, by VIN STRUTTER.)

After the match SULTANA was walking back to the dressing room fuming. She was throwing chairs in rage at losing by DQ when Valour interfered. She grabbed an equipment trunk and held it aloft when suddenly she stopped. The camera pans back to reveal PLETHADOR standing in the hallway.
PLETHADOR: Hey there hot stuff. Had a little trouble out there tonight. You seemed...oh I don't know...distracted or something. (PLETHADOR starts moving towards SULTANA.) Pehaps you were distracted by...me. (PLETHADOR makes a kissy kissy face. SULATANA looks at him momentarily and the clobbers him with the equipment trunk. Then continues down the hallway. ANTAK comes into the frame and kneels down next to the fallen Plethador.)
ANTAK: I'm dreadfully sorry old chap, but it would appear to me that Sultana is not your mysterious suitor. (ANTAK pats PLETHADOR on the should causing him to wince.) Get yourself ready, our match is coming up soon.

Finished card #40 - The Reckoning last night. Will post the results soon but suffice to say there were some amazing matches and SEVERAL titles changed hands! I'll write up results soon (though it may be after GCon because I'll copy & Paste from COTG Online once the New Beginnings Sets are released (that way I have to only enter it all once).
One teaser...The one who was supposed to dominate did, but he had MAJOR trouble getting past another wrestler and, in fact, if the other wrestler hadn't been DQ'd he would have probably lost!
