Anyone else follow this indy fed? It's really good if your sick of the sports entertainment crap that has dominated the WWF for years. Hopefully they're being honest about Feinstein being thrown out for his recent crimes.
Just curious if anyone else was a fan.

Haven't gotten to see much of the fed but I do like what I've seen of it. Besides ROH i'm also a big fan of CZW.

I recently bought Ring of HOnor: The Era of Honor Begins and have to say that it had some truly great matches. I was most impressed by a Triple Threat Match between Low Ki, Christopher Daniels and American Dragon. The Amazing Red-Jay Briscoe match was really good too. Only problem I had was the Christopher Street Connection. They got whooped by Da Hit Squad, but I just didn't like those two. But, I have every intention of ordering some more of their cards. Definitely a breath of fresh air.

How does one go about seeing or even keeping up with Ring of Honor or CZW? Living in San Diego now, I get to see CMLL. I don't understand it, but it's neat

For Ring of Honor, they offer some of their shows on DVD and video on the website www.rohwrestling.com. I'm not sure about CZW.

I have to say I'm a huge Ring of Honor fan. I have almost all of their tapes and for me it's a sigh of relief everytime I watch one. I have never seen more matches that I would consider truly great 5 star matches since ECW went under.

I have not seen very much RoH stuff, but what I have makes it seem like "non-stop high spot Mexican style wrestling." I just can't get into a bunch of guys flying around the ring and there is no selling moves. I'm not sure if all there matches are like this or not though.
I'm a huge fan of AJ Styles, Christopher Daniels, Low-Ki and Amazing Red in TNA, but I hear they wrestle a different style in RoH. In TNA they fly around but also work on the mat and sell moves too. Plus I hear Raven wrestles in RoH and I know he doesn't fly and isn't much of a fan of the "high spot after high spot" wrestling. (just check out his website and read his commentaries)
<---- sweet! ;D I just noticed I am now a mid-carder. "I'm coming after that title soon!!!" ;D

I just cannot get into ROH. I may come from a different school of thought being almost thirty but I don't see the art in that style. To me a five star match is one that plays on the emotions of every fan in the building. It has good wrestling but most important is the EMOTION of the fans and wrestlers. To some people, a five star match is one that goes a move a second and never lets up. It's visually thrilling but lacks real emotion. It's more like a video game....not my cup of tea.

I read about ROH in PWI and purchased the DVD: The Era of Honor Begins. Production quality is not the best, but the matches are very good. A great change from WWE. I like a little more drama with my matches, but to each there own. I was happy to see Christopher Daniels on it. He is a great worker. It is worth a look.

ROH's biggest problem may end up being NWA: TNA. Apparently, Jarrett and Co. want the people to stop working for them. We'll see what happens there. I hope to get one of their DVDs soon. I'd love to see Xavier, Samoan Joe and the Briscoes in action.

I am a big fan of A.J. Styles. I have seen a couple of his ROH matches, and he is the main reason that I order TNA on Wednesdays. That being said, I agree to an extent with those who said they were unable to get into ROH because of the constant high spots. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely loved the TLC matches from a couple of years ago, but entire shows of nothing but high spots can get somewhat old. I prefer to see people take their time, sell a match, and entertain the crowd with the drama of the bout. Ric Flair is the greatest performer I have ever seen in a wrestling ring, and the highest spot I have ever seen him hit is that damned body slam he always takes off the top turnbuckle.

Ric Flair is the greatest performer I have ever seen in a wrestling ring, and the highest spot I have ever seen him hit is that darned body slam he always takes off the top turnbuckle. exactly!!! I used to enjoy watching Rey Mysterio when he first came to WCW but then every male in the entire country of Mexico between the ages of 20 and 40 put on a mask and got a WCW contract. One or two matches like this in a 2 hour show is o.k. but constant highspot matches until the main event with slobs like Goldberg vs. Kevin Nash. There has to be a middle ground somewhere with out overdoing it. They did the same thing with Hardcore matches, ECW did it good, had hardcore matches with New Jack, Balls Mahoney and Axle Rotten and they also used wrestlers like Taz, Shane Douglas, Eddie Guerrero, Chris Benoit and Dean Malenko. Once Vince and Eric got all excited about hardcore matches, they ruined it all.

I've heard of ROH but I haven't had a chance to check out one of their shows. I'd be interested in seeing it when it comes back to the Montgomery County Fairgrounds Coliseum in Dayton, OH, because some of my favorite indy stars from the Heartland Wrestling Association are also ROH stars (Nigel McGuinness, Matt Stryker, BJ Whitmer, etc.)

I ordered some tapes off of e-bay because I've really been wanting to check it out, but some little punk from NJ ripped me off.
