Women's Division

SO.
After years of women's wrestling hating on my part (except for an odd interest in WOW) I now find myself in a quandry.
I have come to the conclusion that Trish Stratus is the most complete female wrestler in North America...perhaps in North American women's wrestling history.
She's phenomenally gorgeous...entertaining on the mic...and can string together an actually good match. And here match with Lita on Raw a few weeks ago finally convinced me to take the women's division seriously.
Unfortunately...I come to this conclusion right as the WWE completely guts the division.
We have four wrestlers (Trish, Lita, Molly & Victoria) with one of them one the shelf (Lita again)...ARGH.
Why does this happen when I'm finally ready to take the women's division seriously? And why is Trish saddled with such horrible luck as to be headling a division that will never stand a chance because the WWE has decided that faceless boobjobs are way more important than women who can, you know, do ANYTHING?
