wrestling is fake. so are movies. so is television. So is every line you will hear in a rap song. The national news is fake... they lie to you everyday.

It's predetermined. It's scripted. At times even choreographed. But fake? Nah.

Storylines scripted...check. Makes it fake.
Endings predetermined....check. Makes it fake.
Moves choreographed.....check. Makes it fake.
Real amazing skill, athletisism, control of motion and body, acting skills, and more guts than most football players can muster.....check. Makes it fun to watch. (If football players are so macho, why do they wear pads? RUGBY BABY!)
Pain. Lots and lots of pain.....check. Makes it real. The lengths they go to just to make us go "wow" is something I love most of all.
Just because something is "fake" doesn't mean it is dumb. Movies are fake. TV shows are fake. And I hate to pop a bubble here for some of you, but "reality" TV....IS FAKE! You want real life, watch the news. You want entertainment, watch wrestling. Lets see Dan Rather take a suicide dive off the top of the Titantron.
Now this guy, my friends and compatriots, is a MARK! Keep on rollin', dice that is.

I have some BAD news. You guys aren't gonna believe this but I just found out that along with wrestling, the show FRIENDS is also fake. They're not FRIENDS! Apparently it is some kind of "show".
What the hell is going on? Next thing you're going to tell me is that South Park isn't real. That would really ruin it for me.
btw, football rules. Tell shaun Springs he is a wuss for not wearing pads. They don't hit like that in Rugby. Not like that.

Why did you have to tell about the M and M's. They made such a cute couple.  Who wants to watch something that is real anyway? Amateur wrestling is real. Real boring. Sure if your wrestling it's cool, but noone wants to sit there and watch two people that may or may not do something interesting. Fake is good. Fake means that someone is going out of there way to try to make certain that what I am watching is entertaining. They might fail miserably, but they will quickly be fired (except in th WWE) and replaced with someone that is entertaining. I like Fake. |

Anyone with the balls to say wrewstling is fake then i dare you to do it yourself. Wrestlers are the most talented and athletic people in the world. Putting on the greatest show in the world. It takes amazing pain on your body. I dont ask anyone to love wrestling as much as i do...but respect the greatest athletes in the world, man. Its a predetermined outcome...so what? Some spots are choregraphed...so what? Guess what! 90% of people who watch wrestling know its staged.Thats why we love it so much. If it were real it would be the UFC BORING! Fake would be if they went to take a chair shot and it was a plastic chair. Fake would be if they take a bump and land a trampoline. Fake would be if they bled and used Halloween blood capsuls. I get ticked when someone who has no knowledge of Wrestling diss it and call it fake. They hardest working men and women in the world and you have the balls to insult them like that. I wish Hardcore holly beat you down....tell me WTFSNOE...what do you do for a living? what every it is im sure its nowhere near as hard as professional wrestling

Johnny, I don't know that I would go so far as to say that wrestlers are the hardest working people in the world- there are other people in other professions that work just as hard as any wrestler.
I'd also put forward that WTFSNOE is a troll, and responding to his posts (no matter how you feel about what he or she said) only serves to encourage him or her.

Actually I think we handled this post quite well. Instead of flaming, we all responded as smart @**'s. Sorry about the M&M news, Smoke. I thought everyone knew. I do, however, get a little irritated when the only comment people make about wrestling is that, "it's fake." Maybe next time I'm in a movie theater, I should shout that out during an intense scene. Wrestling is entertainment, but as several on this post said, most are legit athletes. I'd love to see someone from NASCAR, NFL, or NBA try to bust their rear end several days in a row in front of people. I'm glad no one responded to my Santa Clause comment. Even the voices in my head know better.  |
