As I am watching Raw as I type this, I just noticed something that I found interesting. It is something that occurs nearly every week. For all the internet hatred spewed toward Triple H, everytime his music hits before a match, it sounds as if the crowd erupts. Whenever he stands on the ring apron and blows water, it looks as if the vast majority of the fans are on their feet, mimicking the Game's actions. It just seems that, while so many people on-line blast the hell out of the guy, fans in attendance are very appreciative of what he brings to the table in terms of entertainment value, backstage politics be damned.

I also notice that. Truth be told, I used to be a HUGE HHH fan (I refuse to use the word mark cause it's really stupid when u think about it) when he used to beat Foley EVERY time even when I was sure it was Foley's time to win the belt (like the 4 way at WM).
But ya know what the difference was? I wasn't reading the rags and on the net cyber-hanging with self-proclaimed "smart marks" (even dumber) getting brain-washed by constant negative critisism.
An example would be tonight, I watched a Raw thread on Wrestlecrap tonight and 99% of them were "bored" with the "easily predictable" Elimination Chamber announcement. All because they all could "see it coming".
If I didn't know all the back-stage drama with Trips (writes, married to steph etc...) I would probably be cheering for him the way I used too when he was Chaos-esqe.

I'm with you on the word "mark". I hate it. I can't move past the fact that a mark was a punk back home.
Anyhow, I was kind of let down with the whole Elimination Chamber announcement. It sucks that, apparently, there will be no Royal Rumble this year. The EC match could be pretty good, though, if only because all six of the guys in it are pretty good and should be healthy.
As far as Triple H goes, I guess the reason I have never been influenced by the internet bulls**t about him is because he entertains him. His tag match tonight was pretty good, and I was absolutely crying off his begging Bischoff for the title back.
Overall, I thought tonight's RAW was pretty entertaining.

To be honest I like Triple H and what he brings to the company. I just wish he allowed Benoit and Orton and many other wrestlers to rise to the top for a longer period of time while he stayed near. He's in every damn main event. He's the modern day Hulk Hogan but a heel. Too much power for him, it's time to step down for a bit to allow for others then come back up once their reputations built.

Joe, there is a RR this year. I think it's also in January. They showed a commercial for it at the ppv where the wrestlers acted out a west side story skit.

Agreed. Looking forward to the returns of Kane, and...Brock Lesner? Hopefully, Vince sucks it up and doesn't job Les' out to everyone as punishment.
I can't WAIT for the pop he gets when he comes out. Remember last year (?) when he f5'd Goldberg at the Rumble and the crown went friggin' nuts?
God, that guy was awesome.

I'll be glad to see Lesnar if he comes back. He's the only guy I have ever seen make Big Show have an entertaining match. Everytime he F5'd him I would damn near jump out of my chair.
I went to the Wrestlecrap discussion board for a minute and it amazed me how overly critical they seemed. Most of the posters sounded like they watch wrestling looking for things to bash rather than to be entertained. Hell, I know I can be critical and love to carry on a good argument about sports or wrestling or politcal matters, but some of the stuff on their was ridiculous. There was an entire, pretty lengthy thread discussing how Triple H is losing his physique and how put together John Cena and Edge were when they came back from injuries, but that they have fallen off since. I actually found that kind of amusing because I was wondering how many of them would give an organ to 'fall off' as bad as Cena and Edge have.

Yeah, there are two PPVs in January. The Raw one and the Rumble. Followed by a Smackdown PPV in Febuary and no March PPV leading up to Mania in early April.
I've never been critical of Triple H. I've been critical of the fans that absolutey begged him to return from his quad injury faster and then all started attacking him 6 months later.
As far as Lesnar, I don't know. There was a time I thought he was great. And I try not let the stuff I hear about backstage bother me. But his last 6-8 months in WWE he really seemed like a joke to me. He could always do amazing things in the ring but his character got downright boreing and stupid in my opinion. He whined so much those last few months.
I've also never thought his Mania 19 performance was that great. I think Angle looked way better in the match and he had a brocken neck and torn hamstring. And there much praised Iron Man match was really uninteresting to me, and I love the Iron Man match concept.

While I think he does hog the spotlight a bit, without Triple H, RAW would be as bad as SmackDown right now. The guy is very entertaining and right now I think RAW is the best its been since the Monday Night War era.
If Crock (oops, I mean Brock) comes back, it will be a good thing for SD (if that's where Vince puts him).

Of course, there's a difference between entrance pops and in-ring pops. Maybe they just like his entrance?

Of course, there's a difference between entrance pops and in-ring pops. Maybe they just like his entrance? Possible, but I doubt it. If that was the case, then everyone in the NWO, who had one of the greatest entrances ever, would have gotten huge pops, not just Hall and Nash.

Well, Obviously I am part of the anti-Triple H/WWE group. I would like to add that last year I did watch and enjoy the Christmas at Baghdad and I am looking forward to seeing this year's edition. I think it is a great thing to take over a country and then to have wrestling matches in it. Something about it makes me feel better. So hear we go... How many wrestling fans that don't like Triple H regularly buy tickets to go see him? I don't know of any. Raw is Triple H. Triple H is WWE. If you like him then it's no big deal. You will by the tickets and cheer when he walks down to the ring. I have seen his ring entrance and I enjoy it. I like that song. I usually "rock out" to it when I hear it. But, after he spits the water on himself there really isn't anything else to see. If you don't like him, why would you watch it much less buy tickets to see it? This thread could be the same thing as saying, "I went to a Marilyn Manson concert and even though I hear alot of people complain about him, everyone at the concert was cheering for him. That must mean that everyone really likes him."
