Over at Lords of Pain, I saw this about LOW's Bobby Heenan:
WWE Hall of Famer Bobby "The Brain" Heenan is undergoing major surgery on Friday. Doctors will be taking bone from both his shin and thigh and using it to reconstruct a new jaw for him. When radiation therapy was treating his throat cancer, his jawbone was destroyed. The surgery is quite major. After completion, doctors will have to put him in a coma for several days.
I hope everything goes well for "The Brain."

Wow. This is shocking news!
Having to be "put" into a coma is never a good thing.

On my friends radio show, I had the pleasure of speaking with Mr. Heenan about 6 or 7 years ago. A great moment in my life. Thoughts and prayers are with him and hope for a speedy recovery.

Thinking about Bobby Today I remember when he had the Bobby Heenan Show and he had these two women a mother and a daughter who were a comedy act. Well Bobby was talking with them and the daughter said "I got my sense of humor from her" And Bobby said "I bet you could get a lot of things from her" Vintage Heenan

My sentiments exactly as The Brain is my favorite wrestling personality of all time, as my handle here is basically in honor of the Brain. When Prime Time Wrestling used to have Sean Mooney doing the control center in between segments with Gorilla and Brain. Monsoon used to lead in "Now it is time to go to the control center with Sean Mooney". More often than not, the Brain used to respond with a deadpan "Who"?. The joke was used alot but Brain's personality and delivery always made it seem funny. Best wishes to a speedy recovery for the Weasel! |
