Received the set today in the mail and from first glance I can see myself using most of these cards. Solid all the way through, as in some earlier sets I shied away from consistently using wrestlers like Londos and Lewis because of my unfamiliarity and eventually phased out many of the originals due to me working nearly every angle with them.
Cannot wait to conclude my light-heavyweight tournament and may add Pritchard and Gomez to round out the field!!
My only disappointment was the release date wasn't earlier as this was the first set I ever pre-ordered.

I haven't gotten my set yet, but I'm looking forward to all the cards, particulatly Mosca. He was in the main event of the first live wrestling show I ever saw, against Red Bastein (another LOW'er!) in little Caddo Mills, Texas.
I already know how I'm going to introduce Mosca when his number comes up. He used to do a gimmick where, to play off his football stardom, he'd put a sum of money on the top turnbuckle, and he'd challenge anybody to get by him and get it. Ironically, when I saw the angle play out on Fort Worth TV, it was Bastein who acrobatically maneuvered past him and got the money. I'm trying to work out a dice roll system so that I can have this play out in the context of the game (maybe a dice roll of 12 or 11-12, plus the challenger's power or agility rating, giving an especially powerful or agile wrestler a shot at getting the money and starting a feud.)
The spoilers on the Tiger Mask and Liger cards look awesome. My World Cruiserweight Champion right now is a Mr. Gannosuke bootleg, and he has limited opposition right now, perfect for Mask or Liger to step in.

Got mine yesterday. Very well done. Love the Tiger Mask card.
Did a quick best of seven series with he and Jushin Liger. Tiger won 4-2.

Am rather jealous as I have yet to receive Legends International. Maybe it's because I live in the UK and we have a postal strike going on.
Is it a cool set? Who is this Mosca guy? Tell me all.
Happy gaming!

Got it yesterday. Pretty good overall. I was hoping the drawing of Goering resembled the picture on his webpage, but that's okay. My only gripe is that 6 of the cards have double counter-1's on level 2 defense. Maybe it's because so many people complained about having down-3 on that level. Personally, I'd prefer a counter-1, counter-2, and down-3 to two counter-1's, especially when the wrestler has no -3 moves on level 1 offense. The matches get boring sometimes.
Well, I've got plans for everyone but Pritchard (I'll be sending him to my other fed). My next SAGA supercard with the LI wrestlers debuting should be up by the end of next week...no really!
Take care,
Jay

bladeflyer -
The "down-3" appearing on level 2 defense came from Tom a few sets back. He prefers game play with lower PIN and worse defense. You see it quite often in the newer GWF sets as well.
Tom also asked us to mix up the defensive schemes so that everyone doesn't wind up with COMEBACK-2 and COMEBACK-1 on both level 1 and 2 defense. We try to tailor it to the wrestler's character and the overall ability level given his offensive layout.

Got my set today (along with Timber & DeNucci) and just finished entering them into COTG Desktop (a Godsend for me btw). I like the set alot though IMO the drawings have been better in previous sets with a few exceptions.
The Outlaws, er James Gang look good, it's just that they're too damn dark. That goes for Liger, Humperdink, Pepper & Tiger Mask.
The Mongols drawings, I dunno, maybe it's just me but they're crummy IMO. They almost look like unfinished sketches. Trinity is eh.
I think my fave drawing is Timber, followed closely by Prichard, The Mountie, Mosca and Von Goering who really good as well.
As for the stats, excellent job as always. The Tiger Mask & Liger cards mechanics rock as does Tigers chart.
Overall, like I said, I'm very happy with the set (any set actually), and commend everyone involved. Just wish the art was a little more solid (with alot less shading).
Already anticipating the Legends of the Future set...

Oh thanks! But that drawing is from 2006... LOL, my bad. Lemme first just say I suppose I really have no room to talk as I CANNOT DRAW AT ALL so to criticize any artist was inappropriate. The Trinity drawing is not bad by any means, and is actually better than probably half of L.I. It just looks really really light compared to the dark, very dark cards in the set. Just my opinion. Slymm Ohhh I'm kidding with you Slymm. I'm not thin skinned on my drawings at all. I'm no professional, so I'm listening to anyone's opinions. I've heard crap "professionals" have said to Werner... You are right though, it is light. I know her and did the drawing for her a couple of years ago...just when that opening in the INdy Pulse set came up, I let them use that art work. Check out some of the newer stuff I did and I'd love your opinion. It's in this LOW thread under new drawings. It's Foley, Neidhart and a few others.
