Of course mine is pretty obvious but if I only had 4, Malice would be the cut(Thunder's good, but Malice is better)

I think if you look at overall carrer and storyline Thunder would have to be a better wrestler than Malice. He is one of the few who in his prime dominated the tag team ranks then elevating his game to take over singles wrestling. Also Thunder didnt start of as a regular Gladiator he went from a slave to a Champion. , neal

It's a toss up for the first two spots.
Spike has had the most GWF title reigns, but Thunder has far more tag success. However, they are not only the #1 and #2 Gladiators, but the #1 and #2 wrestlers in GWF history.
But since I'm going to rank the top 4, I'll flip a coin for #1:
1. Thunder (it came up heads) 2. Spike 3. Malice 4. Massacre
...with Disaster at #5, but strongly climbing the ranks.

Here's how each Glad has done for me (by year of debut):
Brute: 8 Tag Team Title Reigns, including 2 of the 4 longest reigns in GWF history.
Massacre: See Brute
Wolf: 7 GWF Titles, 5 I-P, 2 Heavy Metal
Spike: 3 GWF Titles, 6 I-P Titles, 1 War Games Title
Thunder: 1 I-P Title, 2 Tag, 1 Heavy Metal
Mayhem: 2 Heavy Metal
Vengeance: 1 GWF Title, 1 I-P Title, 1 Heavy Metal, 1 Holovid
Malice: 1 Tag Team Title
Overkill: 3 Tag Team Titles
Disaster: 1 GWF Title, 1 I-P, 1 Heavy Metal, 1 Holovid Title
My GWF history is missing records from about 2098 through the beginning of 2103. My history is also light from 2104 through 2109. As a result, I'm slowly replaying the years 2098 through 2109 (the Centra restart). This obviously impacts all of the Gladiators stats except for Disaster. However, it affects them fairly evenly (and will help the Vanguard, if anything). Even though he is technically a Gladiator, I will throw out Wolf and limit my list to just Aethrans (Wolf would be #1 otherwise).
My choices, in no particular order: Brute and Massacre- They were so dominant in the tag team division that Massacre never got the singles push I wanted to give him (that, and the next guy on this list was raking in a lot of gold). Not only were they the most dominant Gladiator tag team, they were the best in the history of my GWF. End of story. Spike- Spike made the Gladiators' singles reputation almost as great as Brute and Massacre did for the tag team division. No one won the I-P belt more times in my GWF, and his 3 GWF title reigns trails only Thantos, Star Warrior and Wolf. Thunder- while Disaster and Vengeance won more titles, Thunder had the single most dominant reign in the history of my GWF. He held the Interplanetary Title for almost 4 game years. During this time, he officially feuded with Mandrill as well as Pegasus and Kill Prey. To make matters more impressive, he faced a great side feud with Takeover. Takeover had managed to capture the GWF Title and Tag Team Titles, and wanted the I-P belt for the trifecta. Thunder turned back every one of their efforts, impressive especially since Cordanus continually stacked the deck against him and scheduled multiple Triple Threat Matches to decrease his chances. As a result, Cordanus never gave him a chance at the GWF Title. While he's making a run at the title this year, even if he never wins the "big one" he'll be amongst my greatest singles competitors ever.
Disaster's the only one of the others that is really a threat to crack into my top 4, since he appears to have so much of his career left in him.

4. Malice- Just mean imposing and does a moonsault! 3. Brute and Massacre- Tag team Gods- crushed more tskulls and broke more bodies in the tag ranks than any other team. 2. Spike. The original signles star of the Gladiators,. Held his own, and won some belts, but was not as dominant as I would have liked him to be.
and #1.... (view image below!). Currently on a tear that has been hard to match by any Gladiator, Disaster is here to usher in a new era or Aethran Domination.

The Best 4 in my fed were:
1 - Brute & Massacre(I have to put them at the top as a unit) 2 - Spike (one of the most dominant singles competitors in my feds history) 3 - Thunder (another great singles wrestler, and also formed a very successful tag team with Overkill) 4 - Malice & Overkill (an extremely successful tag team. Malice was also very good individually, but he's had the most success teamed with Overkill).
Vengeance was also a very successful singles wrestler, just not at the level of Spike or Thunder.
And, Disaster, was well on his way to making this list (before I restarted my fed. He had multiple title reigns, and would have matched, if not eclipsed both Spike and Thunder as the most dominant singles Gladiator).

Spike and Thunder are obvious... I can't see a valid argument against Thunder in favor of Malice... but everyone's fed is different I suppose.
In my opinion, Massacre and Disaster are the other two.

I'd go with Brute, Massacre, Wolf, and Mayhem, although my fed history is missing 2110-2118.
What's with the trend of resurrecting 3 year old threads lately anyway?

Vengeance : He made everything happen. Probably the best character in COTG history.
Malice : So under rated. A champ as a single and tag wrestler..
Thunder : Simply awesome.
Massacre : Pulled the strings for a long time.A legend.

For me #1 has to be Thunder. He's probably the single greatest star ever in my personal GWF universe. He had a fued with Mensar that was legendary for me. Second would have to be Spike who had just an amazing run as a singles star and tag wrestler(with Wolf in my fed). Then would be Malice and Overkill who were likely the most dominant tag team in history for me(though Divided We Fall is creeping up there).

#1 and 2 would have to be Brute and Massacre. No one dominated tag action like them. #3 would be Spike. Thunder actually fizzled a bit as the main Gladiator for me, but Spike was up there with Star Warrior and Thantos. #4 is Disaster. He's been dominant.....at least until Monolith came to town.

Still in 2096, so only 5 glads ever wrestled for me. Best foursome would have to be the original 4 including Mayhem though. Mayhem was an awesome cross between Cactus Jack and Hercules (his strength and those chains...) and Vengeance is more like Christopher Daniels, and for me right now he is getting his ass handed to him by Fury and Raven
