Couldn't find if this was posted anywhere else, but I have a quick question about Crucible's State of Fear Mechanic.
So given that Crucible can attempt the State of Fear any time it is rolled and if the opponent is weak, medium, or strong you roll to see if he is successfull, but what if he isn't. There isn't any official statement on if the State of Fear doesn't work, but there is the statement to substitue falling face slam - 3 if they're already in State of Fear. I assume this is the same for an unsuccessfull attempt of State of Fear, but I'm not sure.

Yeah, let's call it that. There's only so much room on the card for explanation!

Works for me Mark.
I just didn't know if you wanted to do a character reversal there since it was a failed action. I could see it as though he's concentrating to induce fear and when it's unsuccessfull he's a little weary or upset so that it causes a reversal.
Also there's no mention of this as it pertains to the mechanic, but since in the story Raze was in fear before the match started do we roll for an attempt before the match starts or only when it is rolled during the match.
I only mention this because Crucible debuted for me last night against Stigma and got his clock cleaned. He probably would have done better if Fear was induced as he would have hit a dazed instead of hurt and a reversal -2, but he never really got a chance to do any offense before it was over.

If he didn't hit a move when rolling 6 on L2O, he'd be a total jobber. So I figure he should at least succeed in some sort of move.
As for Raze starting the match in a State of Fear, I didn't intend for it to be that way, but I can see why someone might want to. If you think it fits for the story, go for it.
As for me, Crucible has yet to get a pinfall win in 6 matches, although he did get Absalom to get DQ'd. He's put everyone but one into a State of Fear but hasn't been able to hold it till the end. Raze beat him in their only encounter thus far. I didn't want Crucible to be a top-of-the-card guy, so I'm fine with these results. What I really wanted him to be was more of a spoiler, where someone heading toward a title match might go against him looking for a win and getting beaten while in a State of Fear. That's really what he's there for.

i really got to get this set mark. What are you waiting for it? It's a must have. It is really a set that breaks the status quo in what is being done here. CPC 2121 is really a throw back to the old days especially if you have fun playing the Early Classic and/or the Legends sets then CPC 2121 is the perfect companion. I think its yet another way the CPC separates itself from the GWF and aCe. GWF = WWE uber stars and gimmicks aCe = very well rounded roster with a lot of mechanic and rule changes that make the game fresh CPC = OLD SCHOOL feel and fun, feels like 80s NWA to me (if the 80s roster was thrown 150 years in the future )

Gotta agree with thefaction. CPC rocks and Mark's writing really sells home that it is a seperate fed and can hold its own. The only thing that the CPC needs is a jumping on point. The wrestlers are great and the angles are about what you would see in the 8o's. thefaction was pretty much spot on.
You won't be disappointed, especially with this edition.

CPC = OLD SCHOOL feel and fun, feels like 80s NWA to me (if the 80s roster was thrown 150 years in the future ) Combined with the rabid fanbase of '90s ECW, this is exactly the feel I'm going for, so it's nice to see that's coming through. Thanks for the nice words, y'all. Now buy the set, bizobby.
